Chapter 2 - 2

2: Chapter 2: Ideological Reform of AceAs Dadan carried Wang Luffy back to her cabin, she breathed a sigh of relief as she watched Garp's figure gradually disappear into the distance. She then said to Wang Luffy:

"Don't be sad.Garp has his own difficulties. He doesn't really care about you that much. He's just.sigh, he's only three years old.Why am I telling you so much?Come on, let me introduce you to your roommate."

"Ace!Come out quickly, Ace.Your grandfather has brought you a younger brother," Dadan shouted.

"What are you doing, old woman?I don't have a grandfather, and I don't want a younger brother." Ace came out of the room, looking a little sleepy, as if he had just woken up.

Dadan punched Ace in the head and said, "What nonsense are you talking about?Garp is your grandfather who saved your life.I don't remember teaching you to be ungrateful."

"Ouch!" Ace clutched his head, grinning as he said, "Don't hit my head, old woman.Just kidding."

While making sarcastic remarks, Ace was also sizing up Wang Luffy, saying, "This is the kid who's going to be living with me.He's so short!"

At this moment, Wang Luffy was staring at Ace, thinking to himself, "This is Ace.He's completely different from the one in the anime. He's like a little rascal, with a hard-to-get-along-with look.It seems like it will be difficult to subtly influence him."

Seeing that things weren't going well, Dadan quickly told her two underlings to cook, and said at the same time, "Don't stand in the wind at the door, come in quickly and have a meal together. After the meal, we'll be family. This is the rule of us bandits, and you must abide by it."

After a meal's time, Wang Luffy followed Ace to the back mountain for digestion, which was also a form of physical training, as Dadan had requested. On the way, Ace told Wang Luffy without turning his head, "Stay close, don't get lost.If you get back, you won't even know if a tiger has eaten you."

Hearing this, Wang Luffy understood that Ace was a typical tsundere, or in other words, a proud and aloof person.

Based on what I've learned before, this seems to be a lack of parental love leading to difficulty in expressing emotions. That makes things easier.I'll start by training with him and building a brotherly bond during the training. That way, he should be more receptive to what I say.

However, things are not that simple.Half a year has passed, and their brotherhood has grown a lot, but because Wang Luffy is older in mind, he always treats Ace like a younger brother.

Ace thought the same way, which led to this situation—I thought my brother was ugly, and my brother thought I was ugly, so we would fight every time we met.Basically, neither of them listened to the other.

Wang Luffy tried his best but couldn't influence Ace's thoughts, which troubled him greatly. So, as soon as Wang Luffy returned to his room, he would lock the door, lie on the bed tossing and turning, or sit quietly with his eyes closed, trying to think of a solution.

After much deliberation, he finally decided to use his trump card: learn from his adoptive father, Long, and trick him into joining the revolutionary army!

Uh.no, it should be that he becomes a revolutionary fighter.Using advanced theories from a parallel universe Earth, they can win Ace over into becoming an idealistic revolutionary.

Just as Wang Luffy was coming up with a good idea, Ace also encountered the Pole-Pipe Hero Sabo. The two fought over the so-called territory, but they became friends after the fight, and soon they became sworn brothers, known as Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai, and were even praised by later generations as turning into butterflies and flying away together.

(Because the timeline I modified only shows the time when Luffy arrived at Windmill Village, Ace had just met Sabo at this point, so there's no need to worry too much about it.)

Just kidding a little, but basically, the two of them became good brothers, and then Ace was going to introduce his little brother Luffy to Sabo, forming a three-way sworn brotherhood in the ruins. This was also a way for Ace to establish his brotherhood with Luffy.

Coincidentally, Wang Luffy was just worried about how to instill advanced theories in Ace.Seeing that they were about to become sworn brothers, he saw this as a perfect opportunity to reform Ace's thinking, and also to bring along Sabo, the Pipe Man.After all, Sabo was going to join the Revolutionary Army eventually, so it would be great for him to be exposed to advanced knowledge early on.

With the sworn brotherhood ceremony complete, the main event began. At Wang Lufei's suggestion, the three brothers shared their dreams and engaged in a friendly exchange.

First up is Ace, who stands on a rock and shouts to the sky: "I'm going to be the Pirate King!"

Wang Lufei was completely bewildered."Isn't that my line? You've mixed up the script!"

Then came the second brother: "Such a scoundrel, nothing more than a traitor who sells his head for profit, I'll chop off his dog's head!"

Then came the third brother, Wang Lufei: "Me too, pshaw, I almost got caught up in it, or rather, I think."

I have a dream that every nation will rise up in protest for the truth, which I believe is self-evident: that all men are created equal.

I have a dream.I dream that one day, children from ordinary families can sit on the Red Earth like children from noble families, chatting about their ideals and the future, as close as brothers and sisters.

I have a dream.I dream that one day even Alabasta—a scorching desert state of injustice and oppression by the Seven Warlords—will be transformed into a green oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream, I dream of one day…

Ace looked shocked: "Although I don't understand it, I am deeply impressed."

Sabo, who has a hidden revolutionary army attribute, looked longingly after hearing this, his eyes practically sparkling with admiration. However, having love in one's eyes is not a good thing.

So Luffy used this as a starting point, and when discussing the Revolutionary Army's theories with Sabo, he deliberately brought up Ace, letting him hear these principles as well, thinking that if given enough time, Ace would probably stop being a pirate.

However, Wang Luffy felt this wasn't safe enough and considered a second method: "At worst, I'll ask my cheap father, Dragon, to take Ace with him when he takes Sabo away. After all, he's already undergone ideological reformation and is practically a pioneer.""The dragon will surely accept the traveler."

Wang Luffy thought about this further.Ace's original dream was obviously to become the Pirate King, but after meeting Whitebeard, it became to make his father become the Pirate King.Does this mean that Ace simply lacked fatherly love?

Introducing Dragon to Ace and letting Ace experience Dragon's fatherly love might actually work. After all, Dragon was able to grow the Revolutionary Army from a handful of cats and dogs into a force that swept the world, so he must have some charisma.Who knows, after Ace follows Dragon, his dream might become making Dragon the King of the World.

Thinking about this, Luffy suddenly paused, realizing that it made a lot of sense. It seemed that Ace died in the original story because he hadn't met the right person. If he had met Dragon like Sabo, he would probably have been the second-in-command of the Revolutionary Army.
