After the commotion between the former venture soldiers, Leysha and I returned to Aaren's golden palace.
I had already instructed Alex to retrain the former venture soldiers who had agreed to join Vermillion.
Now, Leysha and I walked through the palace hallways, with golden floors and walls surrounding us.
The palace maids, who had recovered from the Great Wyvern's poison, greeted us warmly on each side of the hallway.
"Everything is golden... it feels like I'm walking through a fantasy palace, Baron Atreus," Leysha murmured, still mesmerized by the golden walls and floors.
I looked at Leysha's mesmerized face beside me and held back my laughter.
"This palace is indeed full of gold, Leysha... but it's not as beautiful as you imagine," I said.
"Ah, yes, Baron. From the story the Baron told me in that letter… I think I'd rather live in the Vermillion Palace with you than in a golden palace bound by King Bahamut's curse…" Leysha replied.
