Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

"What?!" The three friends looked extremely baffled.

Cherry looked more offended than Chalce, no one knew about Rose's lying habits more than her, after all she spent all her life being a victim, "what type of bullshit are you spouting? Chalce would never do that! Where would he even meet your boyfriend?!"

"Well if you didn't know, then I'll tell you how he bumped into me last night, that's where he met my boyfriend and despite seeing his obvious interest in me he was still trying to talk to-"

"That's a lie! I bumped into you on accident and I wasn't trying to do anything! You were the one trying to introduce us to each other!" Chalce's voice was loud enough to attract the attention of other tables, soon the whole dining hall became an audience for this new drama as everyone paid rapt attention.

"Don't worry Chalce we believe you" Cherry reassured.

One of Rose's close friends, Talia laughed sarcastically before confidently stepping forward "aren't you tired of always acting pitiful, right from first year you always pretend to be bullied, but when they call you out you never take responsibility"

"But I didn't do anything! Rose is lying" Chalce retorted.

"Oh please, we all know who Rose's alpha is, it's obvious your just trying to steal him to make yourself more popular!" Talia shot back.

"Stop talking to him like that!" Cherry snapped at Talia who just growled back.

Tears of frustration glistened in Chalce's eyes, looking extremely wronged as he continued to deny everything, the fight got heated and both sides... Mostly Cherry, was getting ready to throw hands.

"Let's all calm down, this is suppose to be a peaceful confrontation, it doesn't have to get out of hand" Rose's voice was quick to turn soft and amicable, causing Talia to step back begrudgingly "listen Chalce, I'm not angry at you, but next time you shouldn't try to take things that aren't yours and-"

"If your so called alpha can't keep his eyes off another omega while he's with you then I doubt it has anything to do with Chalce being there, maybe you should learn to keep your dog on a leash, I'm sure Chalce has other interests than the used untrained dog you parade yourself with" Richmon's voice was scholarly but sharp, silencing the crowd.

The cafeteria laughed at Rose's humiliation.

"Watch it Richmon, just because you're smart doesn't give you the right to say whatever the fuck you want" Talia hissed.

"This isn't even your business I suggest you stop spouting shit, did he hit a nerve?" Cherry clapped back with a proud smile.

Rose's face became slightly ugly but she quickly masked it, "I suppose you're right, he's clearly showing off his hickey without shame, it's obvious he has a partner who we've never seen before, tell us who this unknown person you'd out so late at night to meet is."

A new wave of murmurs washed through the cafeteria, the prostitution implication was as clear as spring water.

"How dare you say something like that! What he does in his private life is not you or anybody else's business!" Cherry seethed with rage blocking everyone's view of Chalce.

"So he's not denying it?" Talia was quick to press "maybe we really shouldn't be asking such questions, it could get embarrassing."

"Chalce simply doesn't like to talk about his partner to strangers, she's not worth your concern" Richmon stated.

"Yeah, so what if he goes to see someone late at night, isn't this your fourth alpha this semester, Rose? Makes me wonder how you could be so possessive if your most likely going to get a replacement in a few days."

The word slut doesn't necessarily have to be said to slut shame a person, Koko's arrival was unexpected but she accurately hit the pause button, she pushed through the crowd to pull Chalce away, "we have stuff to do at our dorm, see ya."

Rose felt like she had been struck by lightening after getting drenched in ice water, how could a fight she started backfire so hard on her face? She could only watch as Koko dragged Chalce away with Richmon and Cherry following behind.

The hall broke into another series of aggressive murmurs with the main character being her newly found out promiscuity, her only escape was Talia pushing her towards the exit.

With enough distance Koko slowed down "are you alright?" She asked a visibly disoriented Chalce, "y-yeah... I'm okay, thanks" his answer was slow but acceptable.

"That was awesome Koko, I should seriously take roasting lessons from you" Cherry's voice was ecstatic, seeing the look on her cousins face after she was called out was the highlight of her day.

"Thank you for the assistance" Richmon said.

"Now that it's over, I'm gonna need an explanation" Cherry pointed to the hickey.

"Let's talk on the way back to my dorm" Chalce said nervously.

"I still have a few classes, you guys go ahead" Koko was quick to excuse herself, she was more closer to Chalce and didn't feel comfortable around people she didn't know to well.

The three friends walked back to the blue house while Chalce tried to tell Cherry the exact same story as Richmon because he would notice even the slightest variation.

Cherry unethically hoped onto Chalce's bed, "she sounds like a dream, please tell me you exchanged numbers."

"...no" Chalce looked almost embarrassed at his own answer, after the make out session he didn't stay long enough to ask any questions.

"Well that's a bummer, I'm sure she'll still find you anyway, you said she's rich, right? Rich people have a way of doing it" Cherry's tone was comforting.

"So do you plan on-" Chalce's ringtone cut off her next question, he was visibly relieved.

"Who's calling?" Richmon asked after noticing the strange expression on his face.

"It's an unknown number, hold up let me just answer... Hello."

"Hey blue."

The voice was familiar, too familiar "who am I speaking to?"

"I'm actually hurt, we just separated this morning and you've already forgotten about me, what a player" the feminine voice was extremely sarcastic, but still pleasant to Chalce's reddening ears.

Cherry was trying her best to eavesdrop but Richmon held her back.

"What do you want?" Chalce asked

"Since you asked so nicely, I'll tell you. Pack up a suitcase, I'll be coming to pick you up by sundown, you'll be staying with me for a while."

"You can't just expect me to move in with you."

Jacintha chuckled "last I checked, I can, because you belong to me."

"But-"

"I'm not asking, I'm telling, or would you rather go through the whole kidnapping experience again, I never took you to be a kinky type."

"Shut up!"

"Sundown, don't forget."

Chalce groaned as the call came to an end, forgetting the presence of his friends, he stumped his feet throwing a mini tantrum "she can be such a conniving dictator, I hate it! What am I going to do?"

"So... Are you going to catch us up to speed or?" Cherry's question interrupted his self loathing.

"She wants me to move in" Chalce revealed.

Dante adjusted his glasses "this evening?"

"You guys are moving fast" Cherry's tone was playful but Chalce's frown didn't budge "it can't be that bad, living with rich people is fun, besides, you guys already have a playful little banter going on, that's cute."

Richmon patted his shoulder "you can use this opportunity to get closer to her, you're interested, right?"

Chalce looked away, refusing to answer the question.

"We'll help you pack" Cherry offered.

He sighed, despite his reluctance, he still packed, choosing his best clothes, with a few spicy choices courtesy of Cherry.

By sundown the three were done, but delayed going out until nightfall because of their tendacy to get easily distracted, after bumping into Koko on the their way out Chalce simply explained to her that he would be gone for a few days.

Chalce Rolled his suitcase while Cherry and Richmon assisted by carrying the fairly light handbags as they walked to the gate.

It was a short walk filled with light conversations untill they noticed many omegas running to the gates, they were frantic and erratic, no matter who they stopped to ask they'd be shrugged off without a real answer.

"Was there any news about a celebrity visiting the school?" Richmon asked.

"None that I know of, and I know all" Cherry answered.

Picking up their pace they made it to the front, and the three could hardly pick their jaws up from the floor, but for different reasons.
