Chapter 176 - Chapter 176: A Way Back to the Marvel Universe

Levi seized this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Attaching a sliver of his consciousness to the fused void energy, he slipped in like a master spy—silent and undetectable—traveling along that arm and infiltrating the interior of the Anti-Monitor's projection.

His consciousness passed through the arm and entered the core of the black mist.

Before him lay absolute chaos.

There was no up or down, no left or right, no flow of time. All known physical concepts and laws ceased to exist here. There was only endless nothingness—and… at the deepest part of that void, an unimaginably विशाल consciousness core.

It was a massive sphere, its surface covered with hundreds of millions of incomprehensible runes. Levi knew that each rune represented a universe it had devoured and erased.

He couldn't count them. They were densely packed, covering the entire sphere, emanating an aura of deathly silence and finality.

Just approaching it made his consciousness avatar unstable. The surrounding void energy was frantically suppressing and assimilating him.

But instead of resisting, he completely released all defenses, allowing that force to invade his consciousness.

Then, at the very instant before he was fully assimilated—

He detonated himself.

This was a conceptual-level self-erasure.

Levi's consciousness avatar, carrying the seven laws he had mastered, exploded across the surface of the Anti-Monitor's core, forming an extremely condensed law-based black hole.

The black hole devoured the surrounding void matter, forcibly tearing open a crack—thinner than a strand of hair—on the otherwise flawless surface of the core.

The crack was insignificant.

But for a projection composed purely of consciousness, it was a fatal wound.

Its core began to destabilize. The countless runes on its surface flickered wildly like faulty lights, extinguishing one after another.

Outside, the massive black mist convulsed violently. The arm still touching Levi instantly disintegrated, scattering into countless black fragments that dissipated into the void.

Levi's eyes snapped open, a trace of blood spilling from the corner of his lips. That self-detonation of consciousness had caused significant backlash to his main body. The foundation of his Mind Law had been weakened by at least thirty percent—something that wouldn't recover anytime soon.

But it was worth it.

He raised his left hand. The Dark Trident spun once in his grip before settling firmly. Its tip pointed toward the center of the black mist as the remaining five complete laws within him erupted simultaneously.

Space. Power. Time. Reality. Death.

The five forces converged and compressed within the trident, ultimately forming a beam of pure annihilation—something beyond any describable color—at its tip.

The beam shot out. Space folded inward around it, time itself seeming to stand still. Ignoring distance entirely, it pierced through layers of black mist and struck the crack in the core with perfect precision.

"ROOOAR—!"

The Anti-Monitor's projection let out an unwilling, thunderous roar. The shockwave shattered every asteroid within a hundred thousand kilometers, even blowing away a massive portion of a distant nebula.

The black mist began to collapse.

Not vanish—but compress inward violently.

From five hundred meters… to one hundred… then to ten.

In the end, the entire projection condensed into a fist-sized black crystal, floating silently in the void.

Its surface was covered in spiderweb-like cracks. Something still struggled within, but it had lost all real threat—nothing more than a trapped beast in its final throes.

Levi extended his hand, using the Space Law to draw the crystal into his palm.

It was ice-cold—like holding a piece of absolute-zero black ice.

The crystal trembled violently, trying to break free, but Levi's law domain had already locked it down completely.

He turned to look behind him.

Ganthet still floated a thousand meters away, his large blue eyes wide as he stared blankly at the scene. Shock turned into disbelief, and finally into deep reverence.

After a long while, Ganthet finally found his voice.

"You… did it."

Levi didn't respond. He lowered his head, examining the black crystal in his hand. He could feel the immense energy contained within—enough to destroy an entire civilization. This was a fragment of the Anti-Monitor's projection core. Though inactive, its essence remained extraordinarily high.

If he could absorb it someday, his Death Law would undoubtedly advance by leaps and bounds—perhaps even allowing him to glimpse a higher realm.

But not now.

His condition was too poor. His right arm hadn't fully regenerated, and his Mind Law was severely damaged. Absorbing such energy recklessly would only end one way—he'd explode.

With a thought, he stored the crystal inside the Flerken's spatial stomach, sealing it temporarily with space energy.

Ganthet slowly drifted closer.

Though still pale, his eyes had regained their usual clarity and depth. He raised his right hand, and the dark green ring symbolizing his identity as a Guardian slipped from his finger, floating between them.

"This is my promise," Ganthet said solemnly. "You completed the task—and far exceeded my expectations. This ring now belongs to you."

Levi reached out, and the ring obediently fell into his palm. It felt warm, like living jade. He could clearly sense the immense willpower contained within—like a mountain—the crystallization of Ganthet's will accumulated over billions of years.

A faint green glow surfaced on the ring, and a stream of information flowed directly into his mind. He instantly understood its function.

The ring contained an enormous amount of energy, and Ganthet had already granted it the highest level of authorization. No oath was needed, no connection to the Central Battery required—he could draw upon its power anytime, anywhere.

Levi stored the ring instead of wearing it immediately. Looking at Ganthet, he asked, "Why did the Anti-Monitor target this place?"

Ganthet fell silent for a moment, then shook his head.

"I don't know. Its behavior is beyond our understanding. Perhaps it randomly chose a weak point… or perhaps there's something special about this region that we're unaware of."

He paused, his expression grave.

"But one thing is certain—the projection you destroyed was only an insignificant fragment. Its true body still exists in the Void Layer of the multiverse. If it truly intends to enter this universe… it will come again."

Levi said nothing.

He turned and looked at the spatial rift, which still lingered.

After the projection's destruction, the rift hadn't closed immediately. Instead, under the universe's natural laws, it was slowly shrinking. The black flames along its edges had extinguished, leaving only a dim crimson glow.

"How long until it fully closes?" Levi asked.

"Three to five days," Ganthet replied. "It will heal naturally—as long as nothing interferes."

Levi nodded.

Activating his super hearing, he scanned millions of kilometers around them. Aside from the three distant Green Lantern ships, there were no signs of life. The star systems consumed by void power had left behind not even debris.

Staring into the heart of the rift—that unsettling darkness—an idea suddenly flashed through his mind.

The Time Variance Authority.

The device that had thrown him from the Marvel Universe into the DC Universe—could its principle be similar to this rift?

Both were channels connecting different multiverses. One stable and controlled. The other violent and chaotic.

If… if he could fully analyze the spatial structure of this rift, could he find a way back to the Marvel Universe?

With that thought, he once again unfolded the Space Law, carefully probing the fading energy patterns along the edge of the rift.

This time, he was learning.

Recording.

The essence of the rift was a weak point between two universes. Torn open by external force, it formed a temporary passage.

The Anti-Monitor's projection had served as the energy source sustaining the passage. Now that the source was gone, the channel was collapsing under the universe's self-repair.

But during the healing process, fragments of space containing the coordinate information of both universes remained along the edges.

These fragments… were the keys to traversing the multiverse.

Levi extended his left hand and carefully drew out one such fragment with the Space Law.

It was no larger than a fingernail, semi-transparent, with a faint golden glow flowing across its surface. Within it, chaotic and distorted physical constants twisted endlessly.

He stored the fragment in the Flerken's stomach alongside the black crystal.

Ganthet watched without stopping him. The ancient Guardian immediately understood Levi's intent.

"You want to return to your own universe," Ganthet said—not as a question, but a statement.

Levi nodded, his gaze deep.

"My time is limited."

Ganthet gave a slight nod in acknowledgment, then offered what he had promised—the Green Lantern ring.
