Chapter 34 - The Angel with Nowhere to Vent Her Rage

Under Kasumigaoka Utaha's puzzled gaze, Kawashima Toya took out his phone to check the situation.

He needed to confirm if the island's destruction was the work of that "Little Priest."

If it was, it meant the Little Priest was definitely not human.

No human could silently destroy an entire island.

Toya logged into the game and soon saw the familiar Little Priest charging at him.

"You villain! You lied to me again!!!"

"Don't let me catch you, or I'll take good care of you."

The Little Priest used her pitifully limited vocabulary to express her rage at Toya.

Seeing the stream of pathetic insults from the Little Priest, Toya was certain.

The destruction of that uninhabited island was ninety percent likely related to this Little Priest, whom he had killed countless times in the game.

Toya closed the app, having absolutely no desire to kill the Little Priest a few more times in-game.

Who knew if a Little Priest capable of destroying an island had the ability to crawl through the internet cable to get him?

"Hm?" Beside him, Utaha noticed Toya acting strange and asked, "Did something happen?"

Toya replied with a hint of helplessness, "Nothing much. Just that an uninhabited island might have been destroyed because of me."

Utaha looked him up and down several times before bursting into laughter. She didn't hold back her sharp tongue.

"Kawashima, are you trying to kill me with laughter?"

"Although you are strong now, you're still far from having the combat power to destroy an island, right?"

"Forget it, go write your light novel." Toya had no intention of arguing with Utaha.

It was better not to let an ordinary person like her know about such things.

Utaha huffed lightly. "I'm going to write then."

The deadline for her manuscript was approaching; she couldn't afford to slack off anymore.

Toya stared at the high-tech smartphone on the table, which he had spent a full one hundred Source Points to purchase, and didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "I finally understand why it's worth that price."

At first, he thought it was just a phone with advanced functions. Now it seemed it was far more than that.

Encountering this Little Priest was likely a function of the phone.

The internet was vast and boundless; how could such a coincidence happen otherwise?

[Helps the owner gain unimaginable experiences and infinite encounters...]

Recalling the product description from when he bought it, Toya didn't know whether to be happy or consider himself unlucky.

"It seems the system's description was completely true."

Since he confirmed it was related to the Little Priest, he naturally closed the game.

"Damn it!!!"

"Trash Fox, I will definitely find you!"

"I'll let the Holy Light cleanse you thoroughly!"

Just then, a crisp girlish voice, filled with rage, rang out.

Even the wall couldn't block that overwhelming anger.

Soon, the furious voice vanished.

The neighbor, Gabriel, seemed to realize she was disturbing her neighbors' rest and hurriedly shut her mouth.

"That was Gabriel's voice?" Toya was astonished.

He definitely hadn't misheard Gabriel shouting "Trash Fox."

Without a doubt, she was referring to his in-game name.

"The Little Priest I've been bullying is Gabriel?" A flash of realization hit Toya's eyes. "I didn't expect it to be her."

"That explains it. It's normal for an angel to have the combat power to destroy an uninhabited island."

According to the lore he had idly read in the past, Gabriel possessed the Horn of the Apocalypse.

It was said to have the power to destroy the world, though he couldn't be sure if that was true.

Having accidentally confirmed that the Little Priest was Gabriel, Toya felt he should keep a low profile.

When playing games, he shouldn't bully Gabriel too hard; he should leave her a little dignity.

Every time he defeated Gabriel in-game, he should leave her at least one piece of equipment.

Otherwise, if she really traced him through the internet cable, it would be troublesome.

A few seconds after the shouting stopped, Gabriel's gentle voice came from the balcony of the apartment next door. "I am very sorry. I lost control of my emotions for a moment."

"Should I try asking?" Toya felt playful and decided to go to the balcony.

After all, Gabriel didn't know that the person who had abused her countless times in the game was him.

When he arrived at the balcony, he saw Gabriel bowing repeatedly in apology, completely lacking the aggressive momentum she had in the game.

"She hasn't completely fallen yet, but she's close," Toya noted silently.

A fallen Gabriel would be easier to get along with; she would just be a gaming otaku.

Gods, faith, Holy Light—all of that would be thrown to the back of her mind.

After apologizing to the neighbors, Gabriel noticed Toya's appearance and immediately lowered her head, apologizing timidly, "I am very sorry. I wasn't paying attention just now."

The blonde angelic beauty still behaved with elegance and gentleness, showing no trace of her gaming rage.

"It's fine." Toya looked at the girl in front of him, who was still forcing herself to be gentle, and asked with feigned curiosity, "Gabriel, you seemed very angry just now."

"Did something happen?"

He wanted to see just how angry Gabriel was about his actions in the game.
