Chapter 11 - Aki Tomoya Wants to Bite Your Brain Out

On both sides of the narrow staircase, traces of dried blood were everywhere.

The owners of this blood were evidently the two deceased individuals at the entrance.

There were no traps along the way.

Kawashima Toya reached the third floor with ease, where he saw Aki Tomoya—who had completely transformed into a minion of the Evil God, looking utterly monstrous.

Aki Tomoya slowly turned around. His hideous, lizard-like head was filled with madness and excitement as he waved his claws enthusiastically. "Are you here to revere the Great God?"

"See? I knew there were others in this world who understood the Truth like I do."

"Those two who claimed to be my parents were truly obstinate. Believing in Him is believing in the Truth. Why did they refuse?"

"Yes, they were unworthy of faith. How dare they question and blaspheme the Great God?"

"Come! Let us drown together in His infinite dream."

"Disgusting," Toya remarked coldly, slowly drawing his wooden sword and assuming a combat stance. "I never believe in those gods..."

"Just die peacefully."

"Aki Tomoya, if you still have a shred of human reason left, tell me."

"Why did you become like this?"

[Target: Failed Evil God Minion — Aki Tomoya]

[Race: Defective Minion]

[Strength: Paper Rank]

[Description: A failure among minions, a reject among failures, trash among garbage.]

Toya stared at the pale blue screen that suddenly appeared before him in slight surprise, then let out a chuckle.

"I didn't expect the system to have this function. It's finally acting like a proper system."

"Indeed, there's no threat at all."

"To think that even after becoming a minion of an Evil God, he's still half-assed. How pathetic."

The moment he faced Aki Tomoya, Toya had sensed the gap in their strength.

Although the Evil God's aura on Aki Tomoya disgusted him, the monster's actual power was pitifully weak.

At best, he was only as strong as two or three adult men combined.

"Heretic!!!"

The excitement and madness on Aki Tomoya's face abruptly froze. He stared at Toya gloomily, like a venomous snake.

"I will purge this heresy for the Great God and eat you, bit by bit!"

Before he could finish speaking, Aki Tomoya charged at Toya, opening his grotesque, gaping maw.

"Too weak," Toya scoffed with disdain. "With strength like that, I could crush you without even opening my eyes."

Swish!

A sword gleam flashed suddenly.

One of the numerous Lines of Death on Aki Tomoya's ugly, foul-smelling body was instantly severed.

In that split second, a disgusting, hideous arm fell cleanly to the ground.

Before the arm even hit the floor, it turned into black ash and scattered.

"You're a heretic too!"

"I'm not done yet." Toya swung his sword with a calm expression. With every flash of the blade, a part of Aki Tomoya's body was sliced away.

In the end, almost all of Aki Tomoya's body parts had been cut down, leaving only a pustule-covered lizard head falling to the ground.

This was intentional on Toya's part; otherwise, the monster would have died long ago.

Toya stared coldly at the remaining lizard head of Aki Tomoya. "Speak. How did you become like this?"

He still held onto a sliver of hope that Aki Tomoya could explain his encounter clearly.

However, Aki Tomoya's crimson, chaotic eyes were filled with madness. "Just you wait... Lord God will descend upon this world..."

"I will be reborn in the glory of Lord God and eat your brain, bit by bit."

Slash!

A sword gleam flashed past, and Aki Tomoya's head was completely reduced to ash.

"I really shouldn't have held onto any fantasies."

Toya sighed helplessly.

Since he couldn't obtain the intelligence he wanted, he naturally wouldn't leave the monsterized Aki Tomoya alive.

Even if Aki Tomoya was a failed product, the result was the same.

Every minute a minion of an Evil God remained alive, the danger increased by ten percent.

Anomalies like this couldn't be judged by common sense.

If it knew a way to summon a stronger entity, things would get troublesome.

After searching the small otaku room, Toya quickly found what he was looking for.

A mysterious book made of human skin was enshrined in the most conspicuous spot in the room.

"Time to end this." Toya brought his blade down, and the human skin book instantly disintegrated and vanished.

At the moment of its dissipation, Toya faintly heard a chaotic, twisted sound of surprise—a light "Huh?"

That sound was indescribable and incomprehensible, filled with the endless calamity and destruction of the outer worlds.

If an ordinary person had heard it—or even if the world itself had heard it—they would have been corrupted in an instant.

"Tsk. An Evil God?"

Toya clicked his tongue and immediately forced himself to ignore the sound.

He couldn't probe any deeper; attracting the attention of a deeper existence would be troublesome.

After disposing of the human skin book, Toya walked downstairs. There, he saw Kato Megumi being blocked by the two anomalous human bodies.

"I need to cut down the corpses in the future too. Can't leave any hidden dangers."

As he spoke, Toya swung his wooden sword, slashing the Points of Death on the anomalous corpses surrounding Kato Megumi.
