Gengar pinched its nose and snuck into the middle of the Weezing and Muk, but the pungent odor made it run to the side, leaning against a withered tree and retching violently.
"Gengar gen… I… I can't take it anymore…"
It was fine when near Lucas, as the floral scent radiating from the top of Lilligant's head and Roserade's Aromatherapy dispelled the surrounding stench. However, after moving away from Lucas, the smell of the Muk and the others came rushing at it. Having never suffered like this before, Gengar hid to the side and kept vomiting.
After Gengar finished vomiting, it stood up, wiped the corners of its mouth with the back of its hand, and prepared to return to the middle of the Muk and the others to put them to sleep.
But as soon as it turned around, it saw a group of Muk and Weezing standing behind it.
"Gengar gen?!"
What's going on?!
A Muk: "Boss, why are you here?"
A Weezing: "Do you also like the gas here?"
A Muk: "Great, Boss! I knew you would like it here too."
A Muk: "Come on, Boss, we'll give the most delicious spot to you."
Gengar: "Who is your boss?! Who wants to eat trash?! Don't you dare frame me! I don't eat trash!"
Gengar was just about to flip the table and beat them up, but remembering what Lucas had said, it pinched its nose, looked at the Muk and the others, and said, "Gengar gen, you guys gather together first. I have something to tell you."
Although the Muk and Weezing couldn't understand why Gengar asked them to gather, as subordinates, obeying the words of their recognized boss was what a qualified subordinate should do.
The Muk, Grimer, Weezing, and Koffing all came down from the trash mountain, gathered in front of Gengar, and looked at Gengar with expectant eyes.
"Is the boss going to take us to conquer the city? To turn this place into a paradise of trash? Great!"
"Charge, charge, charge!"
Gengar's chubby face put on a mask of pain. After this group of Muk and Weezing gathered together, they were even smellier!
"Help!"
"Why do I have to do such a painful job!"
"How can there be such smelly Pokémon as Muk in the world!"
Amidst the expectant eyes of the Muk and Weezing, Gengar forcibly squeezed out a smile that looked worse than crying.
"Gengar gen, let me help you fall asleep. Take a nap first, and when you wake up, everything will be fine."
Immediately after, under the confused gazes of the Muk and the others, Gengar used Double Team to surround the area, and then each Gengar held a Dark Void in its hand and threw it into the middle of the Muk and Weezing.
Boom!
The wind in the sky grew stronger, dispersing the dust and mist, and all the Muk and Weezing in the field fell into a deep sleep.
Occasionally, one or two that slipped through the net would appear, and Gengar would immediately follow up with another Dark Void.
After finishing all this, Gengar felt like its whole ghost-life was over.
"Good work, little fatty. Don't come over yet, air out the smell first."
Lucas held Lilligant, sat on the back of Ninetales, and bluntly refused Gengar's approach.
Gengar: (*, A)
"When you want me to help, you call me Gengar, but after I get it done, you call me little fatty?"
"And you won't let me come over!"
"Oh heavens! Oh earth!"
"Where is justice!"
"I'm going to rise up—"
"Just work a little harder. When we get back, I'll make you whatever you want to eat, no limits, no restrictions on variety."
"I'm rising up to cheer for you! Lucas is the best! Lucas is the most handsome!"
"Hehe."
"Call me again next time there's something like this."
"Now, the thing that needs to be dealt with is this trash mountain in front of us."
Lucas took a deep breath, then coughed violently.
"Oh no, I inhaled out of habit!"
"I'm not going to die from poisoning, am I?!"
Until Gothitelle handed over a bowl of herbal medicine.
"Thanks."
Lucas took it and gulped it all down.
Seeing Lilligant serving herbal medicine to the staff present, Lucas turned his head and looked at the increasingly strong wind. "It's not going to rain, is it?"
Lucas took out his rotom phone and checked the weather forecast. It said there would be rain here tonight.
"Damn it."
Lucas bit his lower lip. "Lilligant, use Sunny Day to control the weather."
Lilligant nodded. Being held in front of Lucas, the flower on top of her head began to gather energy, and then a dazzling beam of light shot straight into the sky.
The strong wind began to dissipate, and then the dazzling sunlight began to shine upon the earth.
A Sunny Day in the afternoon?
The sunlight was red.
"Everyone who has finished drinking, thank you for your hard work. Go prepare some tools, we are going to clear away the trash mountain."
Lucas shouted to the staff behind him.
"So much trash—where are we clearing it to?"
Lucas: — —
"How is it usually cleaned up?"
"Usually it's put in a dump, and then a garbage truck will take the trash away and send it to a place for waste processing and decomposition." "Can't we do that now?"
"It should—be okay, right? But with so much trash—the Muk and the others will probably wake up too—"
Hearing the words of Officer Jenny from Spirit Town, Lucas fell silent.
He glanced at Gengar, who was sitting not far away, looking over here with eager eyes.
Gengar—I've got it!
Can't I just use the Distortion Channel to transfer it away!
I really am a genius.
Lucas raised his left hand.
A Murkrow flew overhead and then fell down.
Lucas looked at his left hand and fell into confusion. "Strange, could it be that I did the gesture wrong?"
Lucas raised his right hand again.
Lucas directly grasped the wooden plaque pendant on his chest and closed his eyes.
"Giratina, help me out."
*Poof* Lucas's consciousness was ejected.
Lucas: ???
"Hey, man!"
Lucas was bluntly refused, just as he had bluntly refused Gengar. His request was rejected by the Lord of the Distortion World, Giratina, without the slightest hesitation.
At this moment, in the Distortion World.
Giratina watched the scene on the sky screen, its expression like it was facing a formidable enemy.
"You usually treat my Distortion Channel as a Doraemon Anywhere Door, and that's fine, I can tolerate it. Using it to summon Pokémon is also fine, I can tolerate that too."
"But you, you actually want to throw that huge pile of stinking trash into my Distortion World?!"
"What do you think my Distortion World is for? A garbage dump?!"
"Impossible! Even if you get Arceus to beat me to death, I will never let that disgusting thing in." Sensing Lucas's communication, Giratina decisively refused.
"Not even passing through!"
After saying that, it kicked Lucas's consciousness out.
Lucas let go of the wooden plaque pendant and scratched his head. He had been rejected.
He looked at Gengar and suddenly remembered that Dark Void also seemed to connect to the Distortion World.
"Gengar, I remember, doesn't Dark Void connect to the Distortion World?"
Gengar scratched its big butt and nodded.
"Gengar gen."
"Mm."
"Then that makes things easy."
"You won't open the door? Fine, I'll take the window."
Giratina: !!!
"What now?"
Officer Jenny from Twinleaf Town asked Lucas.
"Wait a moment, I'm communicating. Let me see if I can use a certain place to transfer the trash mountain away, to somewhere else."
Hearing Lucas's words, Officer Jenny from Twinleaf Town nodded and didn't say anything further.
Officer Jenny from Spirit Town: ???
"Such a huge trash mountain, and it can be transferred away?"
"Gengar, try to see if Dark Void can throw the trash mountain into the Distortion World."
Upon hearing Lucas's words, Gengar immediately launched itself into the air, and began to gather shadow energy in its hands.
A Dark Void appeared above the trash mountain, and then the trash on top began to disappear.
"It's working."
Officer Jenny from Spirit Town said. As soon as she finished speaking, trash began to fall from the sky.
Gengar: ?
Officer Jenny: ?
Lucas: ???
Gengar continued, the trash disappeared, and the trash fell from the sky.
Gengar continued, the trash continued.
Gengar: ?
"Hey, I—"
"Wait a second, Gengar." Lucas called Gengar to stop. "Let me communicate with it again."
Lucas held Lilligant, opened the Distortion Channel, and walked inside.
Lucas could go in, but that pile couldn't.
"Let me use it, just as a transit station. We will very quickly take them out of the Distortion World."
"No, this is a matter of principle. This is the Distortion World, not a garbage transit station."
"Make an exception, please, I beg you."
"A matter of principle, absolutely impossible."
Lucas looked at the determined-looking Giratina and gently patted the small hand of Lilligant, who he was holding in his arms.
"Lilli~"
"Uncle Giratina~"
Giratina shivered, hesitated for a moment, and then shook its head.
"No, this is a matter of principle."
Lucas narrowed his eyes. There was a chance.
"Then let me go back to the Breeding House."
Giratina nodded and opened the channel leading to the Distortion Channel. Lucas, holding Lilligant and riding Ninetales, walked out.
Soon, the Distortion Channel opened again.
Shauna, Alcremie, the Female Meowstic, Tomoyo, Chimecho, and a rainbow pony all ran in.
Giratina: ???
Lucas, holding Lilligant and sitting on Ninetales' back, wore a satisfied smile.
"Ahem."
Lucas coughed twice.
"imai."
Giratina.
"Uncle Giratina."
Amidst the repeated calls of "Uncle Giratina," the intervals of Giratina's refusals grew longer and longer.
Lucas struck while the iron was hot, "How about this, Giratina? Let us transfer things, just for five minutes, five minutes is all. For the next five months, whatever you want to eat, we'll make it for you. Plus, we'll let Alcremie and the others come in to keep you company when the Breeding House isn't busy. How about that?"
Giratina swallowed hard.
A long time passed without it saying a word of refusal.
Lucas winked at Alcremie.
"imai—"
"So Uncle Giratina doesn't want to play with us— then I won't come anymore."
Giratina: !!!
Despicable guy!
Among the little ones, Lucas specifically chose Alcremie to say this. After all, not everyone could get Giratina to step in and teach Darkrai a lesson.
"The smell—it's very stinky."
Hearing Giratina's words, Lucas breathed a sigh of relief. "How about this, we will try to isolate the smell. If we can isolate it, can you let us pass?"
Amidst the calls of "uncle," Giratina hesitantly nodded, then realized, "The conditions mentioned earlier must not change. You must send me food every day, and let them come in to play."
Lucas snapped his fingers. "A gentleman's word is his bond."
"Five months won't do, that's too short."
"Eight months?"
Giratina hesitated.
"Ten months, I can't add any more."
"Deal."
Giratina opened the Distortion Channel. "Alright, apply for permission again. Remember, there must be no smell."
"Don't worry, you can trust me to get things done, can't you?"
Seeing that the matter was resolved, Alcremie and the others prepared to return to the Breeding House to prepare today's dessert for Giratina.
Watching the bunch of little ones moving their short legs as they ran along the massive channel, Giratina's heart melted.
Looking at Shauna and Tomoyo leading the way, Giratina couldn't help but sigh inwardly.
Who on earth invented these little things? They're ridiculously cute.
Are human children all this cute?
Giratina thought of something and looked back at the sky screen, where Lucas was communicating with Gothitelle.
It looked at Gengar sitting in the distance.
Damn it, Lucas and Gengar, get lost!
Giratina spat out dragon breath, shattering the sky screen.
It's annoying just to look at them.
Fortunately, little Shauna and Little Tomoyo aren't like Lucas, and Alcremie and the others aren't like Gengar.
Whenever it thought of Shauna and the others, Giratina couldn't help but smile again. Then, it looked at an empty space and fell into deep thought, wondering what it was thinking about.
Spirit Town, beside the mountain of garbage.
"Lilli?"
Is this really okay? Agreeing to such a long time right from the start, what should we do if we want to ask for its help again next time?
"What are you afraid of? It's only ten months. We can just add more time next time. Besides, Alcremie and the others send food in every day anyway. As long as our Breeding House exists for a day, we will send it food for a day. Besides, at worst, we can just overdraw the future debt in advance. Ten months? I'm not even afraid of ten years."
Lucas held Lilligant and used his hand to flick the stamen on top of its head. "Your Uncle Giratina is the most principled Pokémon there is."
Lucas couldn't help but laugh when he said this.
To get the noble lord of the Distortion World, the Renegade Pokémon Giratina, to help out, all it took was food and a bunch of cute little ones.
Gothitelle floated back. Lucas looked at it and asked, "How about it? Is there a way?"
Gothitelle nodded. "Gothitelle."
No problem.
I can block a snow mountain; this bit of garbage is even less of a problem.
Lucas looked at the "bit of garbage" Gothitelle mentioned—a mountain of trash five or six stories high—
You call this a bit?
However, compared to the glaciers of Mt. Coronet, it really wasn't a big problem.
"Then I'll leave it to you. Try your best not to let the smell leak out."
Gothitelle stared at Lucas.
You didn't tell me I also had to isolate the smell.
"Otherwise it wouldn't agree—"
Lucas said weakly.
I know, I'll try my best.
After saying that, Gothitelle stuffed a few pieces of herbal medicine into its mouth and chewed expressionlessly.
"Isn't—isn't it bitter?"
Lucas felt bitter just looking at it.
Gothitelle stared at Lucas for a moment, then turned and floated away, leaving behind a sentence before departing.
You won't find it bitter if you eat it enough.
The tone was full of resentment.
Lucas didn't dare to speak, just kept holding Lilligant.
It seems that every time they go on a business trip, Gothitelle ends up vomiting blood and then eating herbal medicine.
"Everything is arranged in Twinleaf Town, the garbage trucks are already on standby."
Officer Jenny from Twinleaf Town came to Lucas's side and said.
Lucas nodded. "Good, then let's get started on our end too."
After saying that, Lucas raised his left hand.
"Everyone, step back."
Officer Jenny from Twinleaf Town shouted. The workers from Twinleaf Town and Sandgem Town all ran skillfully behind Lucas. Officer Jenny and the staff from Spirit Town were confused, but they followed them to the back anyway.
Under the incredulous gaze of the Spirit Town Officer Jenny, the Distortion Channel appeared beside the mountain of garbage.
"Gothitelle."
Gothitelle, floating in the air, heard Lucas's voice and suddenly opened its tightly closed eyes. Its two beautiful eyes glowed with an enchanting purple light. Then, it raised its hands, and a visible Confuse Ray enveloped the mountain of garbage.
Gothitelle swallowed the bitter medicine in its mouth and raised its hands a little further. The mountain of garbage slowly lifted along with the movement of Gothitelle's hands. The strange purple light completely enveloped the garbage mountain, forming a large purple bubble.
"Ninetales."
Lucas patted Ninetales' head. Ninetales lowered its body, then leaped high and quickly dashed into the Distortion World.
Near the garbage trucks, Lucas rode on Ninetales' back, directing the work on site.
Gothitelle, dragging a huge mountain of garbage, emerged from the Distortion Channel.
With a boom.
The mountain of garbage was dumped in the wild by it.
An indescribable, rotten, smelly sock, smelly boot, messy, dog-poop smell instantly permeated the surroundings. Countless wild Pokémon fled in panic, and there was even a Staravia passing by that crashed.
"Everyone, please, speed up the cleanup and try to minimize the impact on the surrounding environment."
Lucas shouted, and the garbage trucks all began to move.
The garbage on the mountain was quickly loaded onto trucks, then transported away to be sent to the power plant for incineration.
Watching the mountain of garbage disappear, Lucas finally breathed a sigh of relief. He looked at Officer Jenny, who had just emerged from the Distortion Channel, "Sister Reese, it's done."
Officer Jenny also breathed a sigh of relief and looked at Lucas. "Thanks to you this time, really. Thank you."
"You're my sister, saying that makes us strangers. But remember to tell me what's going on in advance next time."
Lucas waved his hand, unconcerned.
"Next time, definitely."
Officer Jenny nodded.
Yeah right. It's not like I don't know you; if you were willing to come after I explained it clearly, that would be a miracle.
"Alright, I'm going back to take a shower first. It stinks. Call me if anything comes up."
"Go ahead, I still have to handle the following matters."
Officer Jenny nodded, letting Lucas and Ninetales and the others go back to shower first.
"Thank you for your hard work, Gengar, Gothitelle."
Watching Lucas's retreating figure, Officer Jenny narrowed her eyes, returning to her usual cold demeanor.
Next, she needed to investigate why a mountain of garbage suddenly appeared in Spirit Town, leading to so many Muk and Weezing being attracted, causing so many people to be poisoned and develop a fever.
