Chapter 190 - Chapter 190: The Meeting Between the Little Cabin and Miss Mizuki

Cid looked at this gentle young lady in a kimono who had a bit of a succubus-like charm about her and immediately confirmed her identity.

"Hmm… If you're referring to the Shura Anyakonsen-shou, then yes, that's indeed me."

Since it was Mizuki, there was no need to hide his identity. After all, Yumemizuki Mizuki was a well-known and respectable youkai who appeared in public—there was no point in concealing it when it couldn't be hidden anyway.

As for why he hid it from the common people…

The main reason was that Cid didn't really like interacting with others using the overly formal identity of the Shura Anyakonsen-shou. The people would be far too polite toward him. He found it much more comfortable to get along with others while slacking off and messing around as an adventurer.

What did catch Cid a little off guard was that Yumemizuki Mizuki—as a great youkai who had lived for five hundred years—seemed… somewhat respectful toward him.

At this moment, Mizuki was also observing Lord Shura Anyakonsen-shou. Thanks to the perceptive abilities of a dream-eating Baku, she could sense the flavor of the emotions emanating from this person.

It was like moonlight in the forest—pure, sweet, and beautiful.

Indeed, only a human like this could have written such gentle works, right?

"Pardon my intrusion, Lord Shura Anyakonsen-shou. My name is Yumemizuki Mizuki, a youkai of the dream-eating Baku clan.

The wind outside is quite strong. Why don't we go inside the little cabin to talk?"

Faced with Mizuki's invitation, Cid naturally had no reason to refuse.

"Sure, I've heard of Miss Mizuki's name before as well."

He also didn't forget to bring along little Yoimiya, who had been happily getting along with the foxes.

And so, the three of them sat down in the living room of the little cabin. There was a table and four wooden chairs.

The old man and Mizuki sat facing each other, making it easy to look at one another during conversation.

Little Yoimiya sat on one of the wooden chairs, hugging a little fox in her arms, curiously watching the old man and the beautiful big sister Mizuki who had appeared in the little cabin.

The extra wooden chair naturally wasn't left empty either—the leader of the fox pack sat down on it as well.

The rest of the fox immortals naturally followed inside and gathered around.

The shrine maiden who had been acting as their guide took one look at the inside of the little cabin and ultimately chose to stand outside.

It wasn't out of any particular reverence for Lord Shura Anyakonsen-shou; she simply felt that the people inside the little cabin were probably about to discuss something she shouldn't overhear.

Yumemizuki Mizuki took the initiative to brew a cup of tea and handed it to Lord Shura Anyakonsen-shou.

"Lord Shura Anyakonsen-shou, please have some tea."

Seeing that Miss Yumemizuki still seemed a little reserved, Cid accepted the teacup, smiled, and cracked a lighthearted joke.

"If I remember correctly, I think I'm actually the owner of this little cabin, right? Normally, shouldn't the host be the one pouring tea? How did Miss Mizuki end up taking over the host's duties?"

Only then did Mizuki suddenly realize that what she had done might not have been quite appropriate. She felt a bit nervous for a moment, but seeing Lord Shura Anyakonsen-shou's cheerful, unserious expression, she understood it was just a joke.

"Lord Shura Anyakonsen-shou really is quite humorous. Speaking of which, I've actually been intruding in this little cabin for quite some time now. Having stayed here for so long, I accidentally forgot my manners…"

The old man looked at Yumemizuki Mizuki and felt that, compared to her portrayal in the main storyline, Mizuki's way of carrying herself and interacting with others seemed much more inexperienced and green.

But that wasn't surprising. After all, in Inazuma, Mizuki didn't actually have much knowledge about psychological issues—she could only understand people's emotions, but couldn't be said to truly comprehend them in depth.

It was only after she went abroad and studied in various nations that she developed her style as a psychological healer capable of truly understanding and helping others.

And that period of study had likely only happened not many years before the main storyline began. Don't forget—Mizuki had even made friends with Marana, who had an ordinary lifespan, while in Natlan.

So it was perfectly normal that she hadn't gone abroad yet at this point.
