Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: Getting to Know Little Eula

Sitting in a row, wrapped in blankets, gathered around the campfire to warm up.

Cid and little Eula sat around the campfire, both feeling a warmth in this cold world.

"Speaking of which, Eula, why were you on Dragonspine?" Cid asked curiously.

Little Eula thought for a moment.

"This is the great Lawrence family's trial. To possess a splendid dance posture worthy of the family, one must train on Dragonspine to develop a dance like snowflakes."

Wow, it takes her half a day just to figure out how to say something.

"When speaking, just be normal with this uncle. If you have to think about every word, life would be too tiring."

Little Eula hesitated, and Cid guessed she was probably weighing her lifesaver against family etiquette in her heart.

After all, she was just a big child, and her worldview was still forming.

"Although I'm not entirely sure, even among nobles, facing a lifesaver should be very important, right?"

Little Eula nodded, seeming much more relaxed.

"Mm… Uncle?" Little Eula's voice was very pleasant, like snowflakes yet to take shape.

"Mm-hmm." The uncle nodded in satisfaction.

"Mm…" Probably out of instinct, little Eula still subconsciously wondered what she should say. "Why should I call you Uncle?"

Oh right, I seem quite young—I'm only in my twenties. Being called Uncle is one thing, but why add "old"?

That mischievous kid from the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor with the Hu surname! She actually tampered with this old uncle's memories! This old uncle will…!

Recalling those days when tears wouldn't dry~

"It's a nickname given to me by a certain child. Mainly because I like the feeling it gives,

so when interacting with kids I'm close to, I use this way to refer to myself.

The main reason is that young people like me quite enjoy titles that make us seem mature."

Uncle Cid chose to answer honestly.

Lying to cute kids didn't feel necessary.

But little Eula's expression showed some excitement. "So we have a good relationship? Are we friends?"

Facing little Eula's friend request, Uncle Cid naturally accepted it right away. "As long as you're willing, of course we're friends!"

Little Eula happily scooted closer to Uncle Cid.

Then Uncle Cid suddenly felt little Eula's body stiffen.

"What's wrong?"

Little Eula's face turned bright red. "Wh… where is the place to relieve oneself?"

Uncle Cid pointed in a direction and handed little Eula a Warming Seelie.

"Go over there. Be careful not to freeze."

After taking the Warming Seelie, little Eula put down the blanket and ran off.

Cid smiled and continued staring at the campfire, letting his mind wander blankly.

Currently, the Anemo element generates a propulsive force. If concentrated at one point, the damage is terrifying.

But the key is that concentrating at one point still isn't enough.

Against large, high-HP things like Hilichurl Chieftains, just having armor-piercing isn't sufficient—chipping away would be exhausting too.

The force needs to rotate outward from the center point. That way, the spear can act like a large drill, allowing me to charge through recklessly.

This skill is quite useful—at least digging toilets would be much easier.

Speaking of which, my current toilet was burned out by that fiery furry buddy of mine.

I wonder how my fiery furry buddy is doing now. I don't know if he's already been taken out by Aether.

By the way, in the Genshin plot, among the furry ones, isn't there an unlucky one that got bombed to death by Klee?

Do the people on the Abyss side really not know that Klee's treasure is a bomb?

Mm…

That furry one who got bombed to death wouldn't be my fiery furry little brother, right?
