"Not coming out, huh?"
"Fine! You coward—today this old lady's planting her ass right outside your door and not leaving!!"
Passersby: "…"
After Zeig plopped down like a shrew at the doorway, footsteps came from inside the clinic.
Perhaps because they found Zeig unpleasant—or maybe because they found Zeig unpleasant.
The door had barely opened a crack when a syringe flew out and stabbed straight into Zeig's neck.
"Fuck fuck fuck aaaah—!!"
Under the gazes of passing pedestrians, this gray-haired woman jumped up from the stab, wailing loudly.
She yanked out the syringe and angrily locked eyes with the pair of eyes in the door crack.
"Nice one, Natasha—couldn't steal the man, so now you want to kill me too? Fine, come on! Today I'm gonna let everyone see me die right at your clinic door!"
With that, Zeig gritted his teeth, raised the syringe high, stretched out his arm, and prepared to give himself a quick end!
"Have you had enough?!"
Seeing this, the woman in the door crack cursed, then kicked half the door open with a bang.
Faint light illuminated her face.
This wasn't Natasha.
But Zeig felt she looked somewhat familiar—he seemed to have ridden a tractor with her once.
She slowly walked out and scolded Zeig:
"Doctor Natasha would never steal your man—not before, not now! I won't allow you to slander her!"
"Hey, where'd this woman come from? Don't tell me you're the one who seduced my husband?"
"You… you really are!"
Faced with Zeig's nonsense, Cyrille gritted her silver teeth in fury.
Her other hand was behind her back, tightly gripping a brick, seemingly hesitating whether to smash this shrew in front of her.
"Eh~ Cat got your tongue?"
"No matter who seduced him—get Natasha that woman out here! If she did it, I'll solo her. If you did it, I'll educate you properly right in front of her!"
"This… this is you asking for it!"
"Huh?"
Under Zeig's shocked gaze, Cyrille suddenly leaped up, raised the brick high, and smashed it hard onto Zeig's head.
"Bam—!!"
"…"
Thud—
Under the eyes of the onlookers, this gray-haired woman was knocked flat by one brick, blood gushing from her forehead as she looked up in disbelief at her attacker.
"…From your outfit, you're a nurse, right?"
"Yeah, so what?!"
"You stabbing me with a syringe is one thing—but what's with the brick in your hand?"
"I'm in a bad mood and wanted to beat someone up, and you showed up! Of course I've gotta greet you properly, right?"
"Were you always like this…?"
"None of your business?!"
"…"
Zeig pulled a white handkerchief from his coat, wiped the blood from his forehead, then slowly stood up:
"As expected, medical operators are actually all damage dealers."
After putting the handkerchief away, this gray-haired woman continued to make trouble as if nothing had happened:
"Hmph, I see you're scared! Have the guts to call Natasha out and confront me face-to-face!"
"I already said we couldn't possibly steal your man—why are you so weird?"
"Then show proof you didn't seduce my husband!"
"Your husband is the proof, isn't he? Bring him here—no need for Doctor Natasha; I'll fix you both myself!"
Cyrille rolled up her sleeves, revealing fair, slender arms, looking fully ready for a 1v2.
She had no intention of going to find Natasha at all.
"I came here precisely because I can't find my husband! Maybe he's hiding in your place right now!" the gray-haired woman continued shouting.
Cyrille narrowed her eyes, a dangerous glint flashing through them:
"I'm really curious—how exactly did you suspect us?"
"Do I even need to suspect? Ever since my husband came here for treatment, he's been like he's on drugs—running here every day. At home, his mouth's all sweet, constantly saying I'm not as good as Doctor Natasha! Now he's missing—where else could he be?"
"…"
Listening to the gray-haired woman's story, Cyrille was somewhat stunned.
This guy looks pretty decent too—yet her husband still pines for Doctor Natasha?
And keeps mentioning it at home right in front of her.
Who wouldn't feel some resentment?
After a moment of silence, Cyrille shrugged helplessly:
"Anyway, Doctor Natasha can't possibly have anything to do with your husband. You should look elsewhere."
"I don't care—show me the living person or the corpse! Where's Natasha? Why is it only you in the clinic now? Speak! Say something! Are you guilty and scared to tell me where Natasha is?!"
"…"
"Doctor Natasha left the clinic a long time ago. As for where she went… I don't know either."
Cyrille bent down, picked up the brick she'd dropped earlier, and coldly stared at the gray-haired woman in front of her:
"Before she left, she just told me to watch the shop properly and didn't say anything else… As for you—grab a weapon too. Don't let people say I'm bullying you. Bring some friends if you want."
"???"
Zeig took a step back in shock:
"What are you planning?"
Cyrille bounced the red brick in her hand, her pretty face full of displeasure as she said gravely:
"Your loud voice annoyed me. I want to beat you up. That's it."
"???"
Facing Cyrille's advancing steps, Zeig kept retreating, eventually breaking into a run.
Cyrille raised the brick high and chased after him at flying speed:
"Slow down—I promise I won't beat you to death. Be good, listen."
"Fuck fuck fuck fuck—!! My husband used to say there was a little nurse by Natasha's side who was both ladylike and pretty—don't tell me you're that little nurse? Is my husband blind or did you mutate?" Zeig complained while fleeing in panic.
"Forced by the environment," Cyrille said through gritted teeth. "Anyway, I'm really pissed. If I don't beat you up today, my mood won't calm down."
"Help!!"
Zeig ran through streets and alleys, shouting as he went:
"Wildfire… where's Wildfire?! Aren't they in charge anymore? There's a crazy person trying to smash me here!!"
This loud yelling made Cyrille's gaze grow even fiercer from behind.
Her voice remained soft, yet it sent chills down Zeig's spine.
"My eardrums hurt so much… You're dead. Don't worry—after I beat you, I'll definitely treat you. Guaranteed to be a minor injury."
"Don't shout anymore. Wildfire's mostly disbanded anyway, and the Silvermane Guards are busy. Just come lie down in the clinic for a bit and keep me company, okay?"
When Zeig turned back and met Cyrille's innocent, harmless eyes, he ran even harder.
"Is this the end of the world?! Order's collapsed—!! Is there still law? Is there still justice!!"
"Shh, quiet down—you'll disturb the neighbors and make it worse."
From behind, the pursuing girl with the brick drew closer… closer.
"Come."
She called softly, and the brick flew toward the back of Zeig's head.
