Chapter 149 - Chapter 149: Promise Me, Stop Licking Already!

Sampo was still chased away by the Silvermane Guards.

Alice asked in confusion:

"Why not let Sampo in? If he really paid off all his fines, then he's a normal, legal citizen now."

"Who cares if he paid or not—how could we dare let him touch these artifacts?" Pela said in distress:

"What if he sees these things and can't resist going back to his old ways?"

"Yeah, that makes sense."

Thus.

Another notice appeared at the museum entrance.

A tourist planning to enter spotted it and read the words aloud:

"Sampo and dogs are not allowed inside?"

As the saying goes, one should never harbor intent to harm others, but one must always guard against them!

No matter if Sampo had truly reformed or not, he couldn't be allowed in right now.

The stolen artifacts from the museum hadn't all been recovered yet—at this critical juncture, he absolutely couldn't be allowed to cause more trouble.

The next day.

The one who came to the museum was March 7th.

According to the lottery draw among the three big shots, today it was March 7th's turn to head to the museum.

Pela smiled and introduced to March 7th:

"Miss March, this is Alice. If there's anything you need, you can ask her. I'm not here often, but Alice is different."

Alice also smiled politely:

"Hello, Miss March. I heard you guys split the share that originally belonged only to the executive officer into three portions. I thought it was a joke, but it turns out it's real."

March 7th put her hands on her hips and said disdainfully:

"Hmph, just mentioning him pisses me off. If that bastard hadn't made me sleep on the floor, I wouldn't even bother messing with him!"

She looked at Alice and Pela, eyes practically splitting with rage:

"Can you guys understand how I feel? Even dogs have beds to sleep in and blankets to cover them! I fucking…"

"Hello, I'd like to go in and visit. Here's my ticket." A tourist interrupted from behind March 7th.

March 7th: "Oh oh, go on in then."

Tourist: "…"

Pela pursed her lips and said to Alice:

"So Alice, please explain the museum's operating methods to Miss March one more time."

"Mm, okay." Alice smiled politely:

"Miss March, can we start now?"

"Of course. I'm definitely way more badass than that certain someone."

Thus.

Alice sat down in the corner with March 7th.

Pela could only helplessly take over the shift, standing in Alice's original spot, and pulled in an external helper.

"Hey, Pela, you're really here? Didn't they say there were stolen artifacts? You look pretty relaxed."

After stepping through the museum doors, the one waving at Pela was naturally Serval.

Watching her slowly walk over, Pela said helplessly:

"I don't want to be either, but unfortunately there's still no progress over there, so I can only wait here for the spies to send new clues."

"Is that so? So what do you need me to do? Just saying upfront—if I do a bad job, don't yell at me." Serval said with a smile.

"No worries, you're just filling in temporarily. There aren't many visitors right now anyway."

Pela looked around—the tourists seemed a bit more than yesterday, but still just so-so.

Serval whispered:

"Oh right, just now I saw several people buy tickets, walk one loop, and then leave. Are they just loaded with cash or what?"

Tourists passed by from time to time, so Serval didn't dare speak too loudly.

"They really are loaded—they're just spies. They only came in to check if Zeig is here. If they don't see him, they leave." Pela said indifferently:

"Who knows if he'll come tomorrow. Maybe tomorrow it'll be Mr. Dan Heng instead—those nobles will probably waste money again."

"Ohhh, I get it, I get it. Sigh, tickets are pocket change to them anyway!"

Under Pela's guidance, Serval immediately got busy.

Miraculously, after some time, the number of visitors actually increased.

Many of them turned out to be Serval's fans, and one was even a Silvermane Guard officer.

"Serval, you're actually here." That officer murmured.

"Yeah, why do you have time to come here today? No patrol duty?" Serval smiled.

"Oh, today… today isn't my shift."

"Sir, didn't you have another squad temporarily cover your patrol today?" A following Silvermane Guard whispered.

"Fuck off!"

After cursing, the officer immediately put on a flattering smile toward Serval:

"Ahem, never mind that. Serval, since you're here, I'll drag some people over to cheer you on!"

Serval held the exhibit info, delighted:

"Really? You're actually pretty nice!"

"Hahaha, no problem, no problem—!!"

The officer happily scratched his head and asked Serval to give him a tour around the place.

After one loop, he nodded and actually memorized all the exhibit information, then promised Serval:

"Alright, let me contribute a bit too from now on."

"Huh? Weren't you just here to hang out? Besides, Pela or Miss March 7th haven't agreed to pay you a salary yet."

"For that… I don't mind. I'm just bored, haha! Don't worry about it."

A while later.

A girl bought a ticket and came in. The moment she saw Serval, her face filled with madness.

"Hehehe… slurp, Serval… Serval!! Aaaaaahhhhh!!"

The instant she stepped into the museum hall, she started screaming!

This sudden situation startled everyone.

Pela at the front desk quickly said:

"Hey hey hey, what are you screaming about?"

Hearing this, the girl tried hard to suppress her smile and said excitedly:

"Sorry, I got too excited haha…"

Pela narrowed her eyes slightly and said to the girl:

"You just now… screamed because you saw Serval, right? Then I'll call her over and have her take you—"

"No———No!!"

But unexpectedly.

The girl immediately shouted in refusal.

"???"

Noticing her own loss of composure, she quickly whispered:

"No, I don't want her to notice me—that'd be so embarrassing."

Pela's mouth twitched:

"I think… she's already noticed you."

"I don't care, I don't care, just secretly watching her is enough for me, wuwuwu."

"Fine, then… okay…"

Thus.

The museum gained a stealthy observer.

She kept shuttling through the dark corners, silently watching over Serval.

Pela glanced at the girl in the corner, then at the other side where the officer—working for free and energetically explaining exhibits to tourists—and couldn't help muttering:

"They're not all simps, are they?"

Not long after.

A mature woman with her blonde hair in a bun, wearing high heels, quietly walked into the museum.

She quickly locked onto Serval's position, walked over to her side, and said speechlessly:

"Seriously, why make me come deliver food to you? Can't you buy it yourself?"

"I'm lazy, hehe, you're the best~" Serval hooked her arm around Cocolia's and smilingly walked off to the side.

Seeing this scene, Pela pursed her lips again and looked back toward those two simps.

There seemed to be the sound of hearts shattering over there.

The one who came to deliver food to Serval was none other than Supreme Guardian Cocolia.

How could those two possibly compete with the Supreme Guardian?

"Simp simp, simp till the end and you get nothing." Pela muttered.
