Chapter 43 - Chapter 43: You Look a Lot Like That One Person

"Alright, as long as your brain works, that's fine."

Zeig waved his hand and, carrying Abyss Flower, was about to climb back onto the tractor.

At that moment, Cyrille pulled him back.

"Um, are you going to leave me behind?" she asked softly.

Zeig turned around and raised an eyebrow:

"What? We're not even familiar with each other—where does 'leaving you behind' come into this?"

"But you hit me with that big thing."

"Didn't I heal you already?"

"But I have amnesia. I don't remember what I was supposed to do."

"Then just wait here for a bit. Maybe someone will come looking for you."

"But it's really cold here." The girl clutched her sleeves tightly and whispered.

Zeig fell silent.

He looked at the girl's clothing. Though it was a bit dirty, the material seemed quite nice—she probably came from a well-off family.

"Fine, I'll give you a ride. This tractor doesn't perform great, so just make do." With that, Zeig climbed onto the tractor.

"Oh, okay." Cyrille nodded and followed him up.

Soon, the tractor's engine roared to life again.

"Chug chug chug… bang… clang! Chug chug chug… bang… clang!…"

Cyrille: "…"

The rusty tractor wobbled forward, shaking violently every few seconds and jolting the girl terribly the whole way—she felt awful from all the bumping.

Trembling, Cyrille asked:

"Um, how long have you been driving this vehicle?"

Zeig frowned: "What are you saying? This is a brand-new car I just got today."

He pounded the control panel a few times—"bang bang bang"—and muttered in confusion: "Huh, why is it slowing down again? How did I fix it before?"

"Bang bang bang—bang bang bang—!!"

Cyrille: "…"

After a round of random pounding.

Suddenly, another spinning white circle appeared ahead of the tractor.

Zeig slapped his thigh:

"Ah, that's it! When this special effect shows up, it goes faster. This must be the legendary acceleration ring."

He steered the tractor, bumping and rattling, into the white circle once more.

Belobog, unknown year.

Lower District.

A tractor chugged out of the white circle and drove along the dimly lit streets.

"Huh, why did it suddenly stop being cold?" Zeig scratched his head, always feeling that every time he entered a white circle, the surroundings would turn strange in some way.

Cyrille looked around and said softly:

"This… this seems to be the Lower District of Belobog."

"Hm? Didn't you have amnesia?"

"I suddenly remembered a little bit."

As the tractor drove down the street, it immediately drew many gazes.

"Who's that, driving such a junk vehicle into the Lower District?!"

"Holy crap, how did this guy even get in? Aren't the Upper and Lower Districts sealed off?"

"Hiss, the little girl sitting next to him looks kinda familiar. Have I seen her in some records?"

More and more people followed the tractor, pointing and whispering, making Zeig feel awkward.

"So embarrassing. This is the first time I've ever driven a tractor under so many onlookers." Zeig said shyly.

Cyrille: "…"

"Bang—!!"

Suddenly, the tractor seemed to have hit something again.

"Ah, the tractor hit someone!"

"I saw it too! It looks like it hit a woman."

When Cyrille heard the shouts from below, her body tensed up.

If someone really died, would she count as an accomplice?

At that moment.

Zeig had already gotten off with Abyss Flower in hand.

He walked to the front of the tractor, bent down, and looked:

"Ma'am, what are you doing? I clearly saw you run into me yourself. Scamming people is one thing, but scamming with a tractor?"

The woman lying on the ground had pale lips. Hearing Zeig's voice, she slowly opened her eyes and said weakly:

"S-Sorry… I might have been too hungry and just fainted."

She struggled to prop herself up, stood, and said hoarsely to the onlookers:

"Sorry everyone, he didn't hit me with his vehicle. It was my own carelessness."

Zeig: "…"

Seeing that this kind lady wasn't trying to extort him, Zeig immediately gripped Abyss Flower tighter, and a healing light flowed into the woman's body.

"Ah, what is this light? Huh, how did I…" She suddenly felt much better.

Realizing the light came from the Abyss Flower in Zeig's hand, the woman quickly bowed in gratitude:

"Thank you so much, young man. I'm really sorry for causing you trouble. Were you… healing me just now?"

Zeig nodded:

"In times like these, there aren't many kind-hearted people like you left, so I figured I'd do a good deed and heal you completely."

The woman thanked him repeatedly:

"Thank you so much. Ever since the lockdown order was issued, medical resources in the Lower District have become extremely precious. I never expected that in a situation like this, you'd be willing to help a stranger."

"By the way, my name is Olga. My husband Kluzer works outside, and there's hardly anything left at home now. I still have a son to raise. But don't worry—once we have money, we'll definitely pay you back for today's treatment."

Zeig waved his hand:

"Ma'am, really, there's no need. I'm just doing my good deed for the day."

He looked at the woman named Olga's complexion and immediately said:

"Your illness came from hunger, right? You should really eat more nutritious food."

As he spoke, he pressed the white knot on his clothes.

This was the spatial storage device Asta had given him, capable of holding a large amount of supplies. Zeig had previously ordered a massive amount of goods online while at the space station.

Among them were plenty of food items.

A flash of white light passed, and several crates of canned goods suddenly appeared beside Zeig.

"Sister Olga, take all these back. Since you still have a child, you absolutely can't let your health fail—what would happen to the kid if something happened to you?"

Immediately, the surrounding people were stunned.

"Where… where did he get all these cans from?"

"Wait, young man, could you spare some food for me too? I haven't eaten in days."

"Young man, the Rift creatures destroyed my home—I'm penniless now. Could you heal my leg injury first? Once I get work in the mining team and earn money, I'll pay you double the treatment fee!"

In an instant, the gathered crowd began asking for help.

Zeig: "???"

What kind of place is this? Why is everyone so miserable?

"Fine, but I'm only staying for a little while. I still need to find a pink-haired girl and a deadpan guy."

Zeig sat down right there and began healing the surging crowd with Abyss Flower.

Soon, five large piles of supplies appeared beside him, and Cyrille helped distribute them.

While helping, Cyrille asked Olga:

"Ma'am, what is… the lockdown order?"

The woman named Olga looked a bit strange:

"Huh, you don't know about the lockdown order?"

She examined Cyrille's clothing—it looked like something a child from a wealthy family would wear.

"The lockdown order was personally issued by the Supreme Guardian Lady Cocolia."

Cyrille looked dazed:

"Cocolia…?"

Then she reacted:

"It might be because of my amnesia that these things feel a little unfamiliar."

"So you have amnesia, little miss." Olga said sympathetically.

Cyrille nodded:

"I only met Mr. Zeig not long ago."

"I see." Olga nodded. "But I think you're very pretty, little miss. You even look like one of the former Supreme Guardians from the records."

Cyrille smiled shyly:

"Really…?"
