Chapter 5 - Chapter 1.1

"Hey Daniel, you sure you ain't gonna do anything tomorrow?"

"Yeah, I'm sure, it's a tuesday and ain't nobody gonna party on a tuesday"

"Fairs, well can I come over anyway?"

"Why don't we go to the pitch instead, get some fun in while practicing"

"I like the way you think bro"

"You don't even know the half of it"

Randan and I had both participated in the tryouts for the football team, we did both make the team after the coach saw our abilities in the tests. Randan swept up most of even the upperclassmen with his skill when it came to literally everything, I only beat him in the dribbling and passing aspects, not like he didn't come second anyway.

Other than skills I was far and away the fastest person there, and my endurance was leagues above the rest, although my strength and power were lacking in comparison to people older than me.

My physical ability is rated as an 88, so most people weren't incredibly surprised that I am a skilled athlete, despite this I definitely turned heads during my try-out for the dueling club, where I emphasised my superior agility and skill when it came to swordplay, a sport I had participated in for many years now. I made it into that

club as well.

The next day, Randan showed up at my door around 11am and we both spent a few hours together playing football, probably his favourite thing in the world. If I had one thing that still made me truly happy it was seeing him enjoy himself like this and smile wholeheartedly.

On Monday, having received birthday wishes via messages on Saturday,

Egawa strangely addressed me.

"Happy birthday for Saturday, you're 16 now"

"Thank you, but literally how do you know my birthday?"

"I remembered it from when I intently examined your profile on the first day"

"I suppose that makes sense" Creepy.. This girl had a very good memory it seemed. I proceeded to check her birthday and very quickly put it into my calendar, I couldn't forget now that she knew mine.

"Did you just check mine and put it in your calendar?"

"Uhh.. No..?" I averted my eyes and focused on the front as the teacher was about to begin. I actually focused for the full hour of the lesson and didn't get assaulted in some shape or form, so I call that a lose-win.
