"You can't count the soldiers who got knocked out by the slurry as your points." I crossed my arms, standing opposite Sokka, who wore a smug grin.
"Tsk, tsk." Sokka wagged a finger. "My sister's a part of me, and the slurry was an extension of Katara's Bending. Therefore, I have every right to claim what is rightfully mine!"
"Hey."
Toph, lounging beside me with her arms behind her head, tilted her head toward us.
"I Bent that slurry too, you know."
She lazily extended a fist toward me.
"So my share of the credit goes to Ren."
I grinned and bumped her fist.
"Perfect."
I turned back to Sokka.
"Then we'll split those points fifty-fifty."
I held up my fingers.
"That puts me at fourteen points. So I win."
Sokka's face flushed as he shot to his feet.
"No fair! I demand a judge!"
He cupped his hands around his mouth.
"Judge!"
The carriage of the train that we were in fell silent.
A second later, Sokka slowly turned toward the only other person nearby.
"... Aang?"
No response other than light snoring. He is extremely exhausted after all the Bending, sometimes I forget that he's just a twelve-year-old kid.
"Aang! You're the judge, remember?"
The person in question slowly blinked after being shaken awake.
"H-Huh...?"
He yawned.
"Oh... yeah..."
Aang looked between the two of us with half-open eyes. It took him a second to understand the context of the situation.
"The judge says... whatever Renji says."
He promptly flopped back onto Katara's shoulder, snoring away.
Sokka's eye twitched.
He slowly turned to Katara, who could only offer an embarrassed smile.
"What? He needs some sleep."
Sokka looked from Aang's sleeping face to his head resting on Katara's shoulder, then back to Katara's increasingly red face.
"Not that! His head! Your shoulder! Ugh... just..."
He threw his hands into the air.
Defeated, he slumped back into his seat.
I glanced between the two of them.
"... Are they a thing?"
I leaned toward Toph and lowered my voice.
She answered by shoving my face away with one hand.
"Duh, you idiot."
