Chapter 37 - 36. Go To The Auction

"My Lord!" Lucifer hurried closer upon finding Leviathan trying to get up on his bed. "How is your body? Are you feeling alright?"

Leviathan blinked his eyes several times, seeing the sun almost set in the west over there through the large window in his room. Lucifer could also be seen carrying a stack of documents approaching him, then sitting down after placing the stack of paper sheets on the table.

"I found My Lord lying down in the reading room, that is why I brought you here. My Lord only regained consciousness after three hours had passed." Lucifer informed with a standing position facing Leviathan.

Leviathan shifted his gaze from the window to Lucifer, staring intently at the fallen angel from the side. "If I ask will he answer? No! Maybe this is still not the time. I believe sooner or later they will tell me." He thought.

"My Lord...

...My Lord?"

"Why?"

"I have prepared everything to participate in the auction." Lucifer approached the table where he had placed the stack of documents earlier. "All contain a list of auction participants and items being auctioned."

"How about the invitation card?"

Lucifer reached for a black letter envelope sealed with a mask stamp characteristic of illegal auctions. "I got it from a kind-hearted nobleman," he said with a smile.

Leviathan rose from his bed, looking in the mirror at his handsome self before putting on the clothes that Lucifer had prepared for him. A mysterious black suit that was not unfamiliar. This clothing belonged to a heretical sect that the royal army had only recently captured. Although faint, the smell of blood could be detected. The previous owner of this clothing had committed many crimes.

"I got this clothing after the previous owner refused to talk nicely."

Seeing Leviathan disturbed by the unusual clothing, made Lucifer speak up. Indeed there was no other choice. The clothes he had been wearing all this time were luxurious and glittering. This palace did not provide cheap clothing. Look at the mineral mines scattered about, their number was already uncountable.

"Was father previously the type of person who liked to show off? Judging from his clothes, it seems he was a narcissistic person who was very confident." Leviathan muttered while tidying his clothes.

"My Lord. Do you already know who your parents are?" Lucifer asked, visible from the corner of the mirror.

"Why?"

"Ethan Demonio, our previous Lord. The owner of the palace and everything here. Our light."

Leviathan looked at Lucifer there through the mirror from the corner of his eye. The demon's face became melancholy, as if there was a wound that was difficult to heal. "Is he similar to me?"

"Correct. You are very similar. You remember, didn't you, Belphegor once called you with the name Lord Ethan?"

"Yes. Even though I don't know when that happened."

Lucifer smiled meaningfully. His gaze was cold, his face warm. As if there was something big behind it. "I'm sorry, My Lord. Even though you know it, my decision will not change. I will do it no matter what happens. Because this is, the reason I die and live repeatedly." He thought.

"Can we depart now?" Leviathan turned around in his black suit.

Lucifer's smile did not fade. He approached to give a luxurious party mask to Leviathan. "Use that so you can mingle comfortably, My Lord."

"Like this?"

"So beautiful. You are truly handsome." Lucifer pulled his body to the side, looking at Leviathan before bowing and saying, "Please, My Lord. Don't let Belphegor down there destroy the courtyard because he's upset."

Leviathan walked past Lucifer. Lucifer followed after him. Their steps sounded slow but firm. The large door slowly closed by magic. Walls and pillars decorated with ancient paintings, red carpet and a large staircase towering downward. They arrived at the main door.

Lucifer opened the door, Belphegor could be seen standing near the horse carriage with both legs and dressed as a nobleman. Leviathan looked at the sky, there was no sun. The clanging of weapons could be heard from several adventurers hunting near the palace, until the cheerful shouts for abundant results. The underworld is a warehouse of hidden treasures.

Leviathan approached the horse carriage, turned to look behind where the palace stood. Although its color was not as beautiful as Luminaria and did not glitter like a diamond, this palace had its own radiance. A dark night adorned with the moon and stars, that is what this palace was like.

"What's the matter, My Lord?" Lucifer asked.

Leviathan shook his head slowly. Accepting Lucifer's outstretched hand and getting into the horse carriage together with Belphegor. Meanwhile Lucifer climbed onto the driver's seat, grabbed the reins and cracked them. The sound of the horse neighed, then the horse's two legs raced quickly on the hard ground.

Adventurers shifted their gaze toward the horse carriage. Its color was black but enchanting. This was the first time seeing a horse carriage that glittered like obsidian diamond. An emblem of the moon and stars, that carriage belonged to the palace. In history books it was explained that only the King rode it.

After the horse carriage disappeared and the sound of horse steps could no longer be heard, people were haunted by curiosity. The King of Darkness had just passed! But forget it. Just follow the horse racing carrying that carriage. The vast demon forest could be passed easily. Every time a demon beast charged, Lucifer nimbly fired magic.

Lucifer drove the horse carriage quickly but smoothly. Five stars for a coachman. Leviathan leaned back comfortably, with his gaze looking out the window showing the density of the forest. They arrived at the border of the world, and Leviathan switched to looking toward the gate of the city of Artar, the first place he visited upon arriving in the upper world.

"I know that city." Belphegor interjected, making Leviathan look at him. "A quiet city that is very good for sleeping. But very noisy when those adventurers return and hold a drinking party."

Leviathan laughed softly. "Is that so."

Belphegor remained unmoved. He was a demon who was not good at finding atmosphere and topics of conversation. Only spoke if necessary, otherwise silent without a sound. Leviathan knew that. So he decided to be silent until arriving at the auction place.

A magnificent building belonging to a nobleman on the edge of the city of Artar. The surroundings were quiet, only forest around it. The horse carriage stopped in the courtyard. Lucifer got down first to help Leviathan before Belohegor. The sound of another horse carriage's steps could also be heard approaching. They were auction participants just like him.

"Come My Lord. The entrance is over here." Lucifer showed the door leading to the underground room where the auction location was.

Leviathan glanced at the participant who had just arrived, gave a small greeting before following Lucifer inside together with Belphegor. "Are you ready?" he asked with his characteristic calm voice. "I sense several humans with unusual mana inside."

"Just command us, My Lord."

"Today I have decided to do some stretching."

"Don't overdo it."

"Very well, My Lord."
