Chapter 22 - Rune of Mindcraft

Lenny took his time digging a grave; the meat of the Apocalypse creatures was unable to decay.

So he didn't want to waste his kills, he could bring this meats back to the Telvian Sanctuary and sell them for some Sp.

While he buried the Level 5 Common rank Apocalypse creature his shadow clone had killed.

His shadow clone was busy as well.

Lenny chuckled, "It seems my employee is quite a hard worker, it's increasing my productivity to a certain level"

"And giving me more Apocalypse creatures to bury for later" Lenny smiled sheepishly.

He was done covering the grave, slowly slightly tilting his gaze. He noticed something move.

But he ignored it, acting like he never saw it.

Lenny stretched his arms, "I should recall my shadow clone now" He stated, and the shadow clone was recalled.

It appeared right behind Lenny, completely covered in blood that wasn't its own to begin with.

Lenny gave the clone a wink and a thumbs up, "Good job buddy" He grinned, "Focus on retrieving their mana stones, digging graves and bury those Apocalypse creatures you have slained"

"Mark them as well so I'll know where to find them" He instructed before dismissing the shadow clone.

Letting it comply with his orders.

Lenny let out a subtle smile as he read the notification, "Just thirty percent more to master my first imagined Fallen Rune" Lenny sighed.

He tightened his grip on the Sandel Crimson Dual Daggers.

While the shadow clone focused on the Myraid Shooters, he practiced with the dual daggers.

These daggers were Grade 2 Fallen Relics.

Forged from the scales of a dead Wyvern, if Lenny imagined the Rune of Flames, the effects would be tremendous.

But Lenny could not afford to expose himself to his observer, and besides, for his plan.

He had no use for the Rune of Flames.

There were many other Fallen Paths and Hidden Path Fallen Runes to imagine that would be needed.

Lenny sprinted; he had detected an Apocalypse creature a few hundred meters away from him.

His drifting speed caused dried leaves to scatter across the air, and the young silver haired lady frowned. "He's fast," She whispered.

She wasn't too far away from Lenny, but wasn't too close either; she monitored him from a safe distance.

Believing herself undetected while she watched her prey, She took a deep breath "I shouldn't be surprised" She shook her head, "He's a Night after all"

"Those children of Shadows are shrouded in mysteries" She stated, her eyes glistened in the moonlight "His primary Fallen Rune is quite versatile and good"

"An ability to separate one's shadow and transform it into a living weapon, it could also be used on other aspects as well," She evaluated.

Suddenly sighing, "Too bad it's merely a Rare rank, it shouldn't be too dangerous for me to handle"

She lingered for a moment, "What I just want to see is his secondary Fallen Rune, it's a Revival Path Fallen Rune"

"How good is his regeneration when it's of the Rare rank?" She asked. Trying to imagine scenes of her cutting Lenny down and him regenerating.

She grunted, "That's definitely going to be a troublesome Fallen Rune, but all I need to do is strike him down with one hit"

"A single hit capable of obliterating him from existence, and it should be fine," She chuckled.

Lenny smirked, "This is my first time killing a Level 5 Common rank Apocalypse creature" He was excited, watching the corpse of the Apocalypse creature.

It had taken him three minutes to kill this abomination.

Lenny's eyebrows furrowed, "My progress is slow" He growled, "If it takes me three minutes to take out a Level 5 Common rank Fallen creature"

"I'm afraid killing a Level 7 Wanderer rank Apocalypse creature is impossible for me" He analyzed his situation.

Lenny turned to leave, "Shadow will take care of this, I should continue" He made his move.

Resuming it's fierce battle.

More whispers came rushing in as Lenny didn't hold back, he attacked with precision and cruelty.

Killing the Common rank Apocalypse creatures he encountered without delay.

His moves were direct, not showing any signs of wavering. His observer wasn't suprised.

Although she was astonished at Lenny's martial arts, while knowing Lenny's background.

She had expected it.

The Great Houses taught their descendants their special survival tactics and martial arts.

Even passing down generational Fallen Runes held by their ancestors to the young ones.

Lenny wasn't exempt from the tradition; he was taught martial arts when he was six years old.

Taught the history of Great House Night when he was eight years old and the truth of the Regulator's society when he reached the ripe age of 10.

This was also one of the reasons why the other Great Houses weren't so keen on keeping Lenny alive.

He was the only one who could revive the already dead Great House Night and restore their strength.

The smile of the young lady faltered for a moment, her eyebrows furrowed "He's strong for a Rank 1 Fallen Regulator who hasn't even reached the middle stage"

A lopsided grin appeared on her lips, "But this is good, he isn't invincible, he's killable" She chuckled.

Slowly standing up from the tree branch she sat on, "I'm done watching, it's time to leave" After saying that, she vanished from the scene.

Lenny could no longer sense her presence.

He slightly tilted his gaze backwards, his eyebrows furrowed, "They left huh?" He grinned.

"Well that's good, I was getting bored with using tactics…." He shifted his stance, breathing in deeply.

[You've imagined the Rune of Mindcraft]

[Would you like to register it?]

[Yes] [No]

Lenny whispered "Yes"

[You've registered the Rune of Mindcraft]

A book tattoo appeared on his left hand, flickering with an emerald hue.

Lenny breathed in deeply, "An empty slot would be open once I master the Rune of Shadows"

"For now, they should be enough." His eyes flickered with determination, and a loud shriek echoed through the air.

It didn't take long for more than fifteen Apocalypse creatures to track him down.

All bloodthirsty, Lenny could see Level 3 Common rank Apocalypse creatures, Level 4 Common rank Apocalypse creatures, and Level 5 Common rank Apocalypse creatures.

A Level 6 Common rank Apocalypse creature led the charge, they had him all encircled.

Preventing him from escaping them.

Lenny stood unshaken by the sight of this carnage, his lips curled into a dark grin. "This should be enough," He whispered.

He had chosen this Fallen Rune for a reason. He knew they were coming and it was inevitable to escape from them.

The Rune of Mindcraft had one simple effect.

Knowledge.

The Crown of Information.

With their eyes locked on the target, the Apocalypse creatures launched their horrifying attacks against Lenny.

Before they could reach him, Lenny activated his Fallen Rune.

It came as a wave.

[Rune Mastery: 1%]

An influx of Informations flooded their mind within seconds.

The Apocalypse creatures froze, their eyes widened in shock as their bodies shuddered.

[Rune Mastery: 6%]

Each second, hundreds of thousands of Informations floods their brain. With millions of pieces of information passing through their brains every minute.

It was too much for them to handle.

Resulting in an overload that rendered them incapacitated, unable to move an inch, unable to even react to Lenny..

Lenny chuckled, "This is checkmate"
