Live House CiRCLE – VIP Section
6:00 P.M.
Riku's POV
After checking in on Marina and the girls to make sure things were running smoothly, I finally made my way up to the VIP section. The air was different up here—less chaos, more chatter. The rows of reserved seats were filled with scouts, industry representatives, and a few familiar faces from the upper ranks of the music world. Among them were the girls of Roselia and Pastel*Palettes, along with Miyu and Ceb.
Unfortunately, not everyone could make it tonight. Poppin'Party had been invited to perform at a live house in Yokohama, while Kokoro and the HaroHapi crew were apparently babysitting exotic birds—Tsurumaki family business, apparently. RAISE A SUILEN decided to lock themselves in for Seoul Open practice, Peakey P-key were buried in composing for their first tournament, and Mafuyu's group skipped out since she was helping Kanade, Mizuki, and Ena cram homework. Typical.
I was barely seated when Chisato turned to me, folding her arms with mock irritation.
"What took you so long to get here, onii-sama?" she asked, her tone half playful, half accusing.
"Just wanted to check if Marina had things under control," I replied, glancing toward the stage.
Maya adjusted her glasses, curious. "Riku-san, will Himekaidou-san be emceeing again?"
"Not this time," I said. "Aya's taking the mic tonight."
All eyes immediately shifted toward Aya-chan, who blinked and pointed to herself, wide-eyed. "Eh? Me?"
"Not you," I said with a smirk. "The tengu Aya."
The entire group exhaled in collective realization, letting out a drawn-out "ah..." that made Aya-chan slump back in relief.
As the laughter died down, I noticed Sayo sitting quietly nearby, her hand resting gently against her wrist.
"How's the wrist holding up?" I asked.
She turned to me, her calm composure intact. "It's been fine, Riku-san. I've been following Eirin-sensei's instructions carefully. No strain, no pain."
Before I could respond, Hina raised her hand enthusiastically. "And I've been keeping an eye on onee-chan too!"
That earned her a fond look from Sayo, and a few smiles from the others. Then Yukina stood up, her expression uncharacteristically soft.
"Riku-san," she began, "about what you said to me yesterday... if possible, I'll be under your care."
She bowed low, formal and sincere. The gesture drew attention from nearby tables, but I didn't interrupt.
Chisato, of course, couldn't resist. She leaned toward me, placing a hand on my shoulder, her smile was sweet but dangerous. "Onii-sama~ What did Yukina-chan mean by she'll be under your care?"
Maya sighed. "Chisato-san..."
Eve, sitting nearby, shivered dramatically. "Her aura is like a yuki-onna. It's so cold!"
Lisa laughed and waved her hands. "Calm down, Chisato~ Yukina just means Riku's gonna teach her guitar, that's all."
Chisato blinked. "Eh? Yukina-chan, is that true?"
Yukina nodded slightly, brushing a strand of silver hair from her face. "Riku-san asked if I wanted to play guitar alongside Sayo. But after seeing how much pressure I put on her, and how she hurt her wrist because of me... I felt responsible. It took all night, but I finally made my decision."
Miyu tilted her head. "So you decided to learn to lessen Sayo-san's burden?"
"Not just that," Yukina admitted, glancing down at her hands. "When the instrumental parts come in, I just... stand there. It feels like I'm being left out."
Her honesty caught us off guard. Then, almost in unison, laughter bubbled up around the group—not mocking, but light and genuine. Yukina's cheeks flushed pink as Lisa, ever the opportunist, whipped out her phone and snapped a picture.
"Lisa!" Yukina hissed, but the damage was done.
I chuckled quietly. "You're not alone, Yukina. Even pros feel that sometimes—especially vocalists. It's a strange emptiness when the music moves without you."
Ako-chan, curious as ever, leaned forward. "So, when will Yukina-san begin her training?"
"How about a week after the gathering?" I suggested.
She tilted her head. "The gathering?"
"Two weeks from now," I explained. "The Celestial Families are meeting on August 1st. I'll be tied up with training until then." My gaze shifted toward Sayo. "Sayo, mind teaching her the basics for now? You're still recovering, but it'll keep you sharp."
Sayo blinked. "Me?"
"Yeah," I said with a small grin. "You can handle the fundamentals while you rest that wrist. Once the gathering ends, I'll take over."
Sayo thought for a moment, then gave a slight nod. "That seems logical. Very well, I'll teach Minato-san on your behalf."
Yukina smiled faintly. "Then I'll be in your care for a while, Sayo."
Just as their agreement settled, a ripple of noise swept through the crowd. The lights dimmed, and a wave of cheers erupted from the floor below. All eyes turned to the stage, where Aya—the Aya—appeared, as her black wings were in full view.
Most of the audience assumed it was some kind of high-budget visual effect. We, of course, knew better.
"Welcome one and all to Live House CiRCLE!" Aya's voice boomed through the speakers, her grin sharp and infectious. "It's been a few months since the first event, and now we're back to kick off the second one in full blast!"
She twirled her microphone like a baton, hovering above the stage with a playful flick of her wings. "I'll be your host for this evening—Shameimaru Aya! Are you ready for some music?!?"
The audience roared back in response. Aya smirked, her wings flaring as she pointed toward the crowd.
"Now that's what I'm talkin' about! Tonight, five incredibly talented groups have been invited to take this stage! And I can guarantee you—they're gonna make this one showy!"
The cheers doubled. Some people even stood on chairs just to see her better. Aya lived for that kind of energy—she fed off it, shaping it like wind in her hands.
"Now then!" she shouted, voice cutting through the noise like a lightning strike. "Let's get this show started! Introducing our first group—four girls who may be total greenhorns, but trust me, they've got what it takes to go far!"
She pointed dramatically toward the backstage curtains. "Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Kessoku Band!"
Aya took a bow and zipped offstage in a gust of air as the lights shifted from white to a soft, nostalgic orange. The crowd's clapping synced into a steady rhythm as the stage came alive.
Nijika stepped behind the drums at center back, her golden hair glinting under the spotlights. To her left, Ryo checked her bass cables with calm precision, while Hitori—already trembling slightly—gripped her guitar as if it were a lifeline. Kita stood front and center, microphone in hand, eyes bright with nervous excitement.
She took a deep breath, looked out into the sea of faces, and said, "We are... Kessoku Band! And, um... this is our band debut! So please, listen to our song—Seishun Complex!"

As the final notes of Seishun Complex faded into the air, a strange hush settled over the venue. The crowd sat in silence—no applause, no cheers—just quiet uncertainty. I could see Hitori's expression from here, pale and tense, her fingers still trembling over her guitar strings. She probably thought she'd messed up somewhere.
Then, one person began to clap. Another joined. And another.
Within moments, the sound swelled into a wave of applause that rolled across the hall, filling every corner of Live House CiRCLE. Relief washed over the four girls on stage, and I found myself clapping too, smiling a little as the tension drained from their faces.
Kita's eyes shimmered with energy, her confidence reigniting as she lifted the mic again. "Here's our second song—Guitar, Loneliness and Blue Planet!"
The lights flared, and the music erupted once more.

By the time the last chord rang out, the quiet had transformed into thunderous applause. Cheers rose from every section. Even the scouts were nodding in appreciation, murmuring to each other. The girls had earned it.
Sayo, seated beside me, leaned forward slightly, her eyes focused. "Their guitarist," she said softly, "she's good."
I nodded. "Hitori's been at it for three years. That kind of dedication doesn't go unnoticed—it always shows."
Hina smirked, teasing as ever. "Heh~ You're calling her by her first name now?"
I side-eyed her. "Got a problem with that?"
She giggled, and I just shook my head. "Anyway, they showed what they're made of. Guess those few days I spent mentoring them weren't for nothing. Hopefully—"
I stopped mid-sentence.
Hitori had just tripped over a bundle of stage wires, tumbling forward face-first. The hall went dead silent for a split second, then laughter rippled through the crowd like a harmless tide.
I sighed, rubbing my forehead. "Guess the nervousness got her good."
Onstage, Ryo and Nijika quickly helped her up and guided her backstage. Kita tried to laugh it off with the audience, waving awkwardly as the lights dimmed again.
Beside me, Rinko looked concerned. "Is something wrong with her, Riku?"
"She's got severe social anxiety," I said quietly. "Crowds, attention—stuff like that can really throw her off. But..." I watched as Hitori glanced back from behind the curtains, smiling faintly at her friends, "...I think she's getting better."
Maya leaned back, unconvinced. "And you really think joining a band can make that much of a difference?"
I met her skeptical look with a confident grin. "One hundred percent—no, a billion percent sure. Ammar and bzm were both introverts before they joined OG. Look where that got them. Sometimes the stage fixes what words can't."
As the crowd began to settle again, the spotlights swept upward. A gust of wind signaled Aya's return as she descended dramatically, microphone in hand and wings catching the lights.
"Well... that happened," she said, dragging out the words with mock exasperation. The crowd laughed, and she spun her mic in a twirl that drew their focus right back in. "Anyway! Now that our opening act's done, it's time for the second band of the night!"
She paced across the stage, voice booming with charisma. "These childhood friends came together to create unforgettable memories—and tonight, they're here to share those memories with all of you! The question is... can they make this night unforgettable too? Let's find out!"
Aya threw her hand toward the stage's edge. "Ladies and gentlemen—give it up for Afterglow!"
Her exit was as flashy as ever: wings flaring, a swirl of wind, and she was gone before the cheers even peaked.
The lights cut to deep red as the five silhouettes of Afterglow emerged through the haze. The crowd's tone shifted instantly—anticipation humming through every corner.
At the center stood Ran, eyes closed, her microphone lowered to her side. For a heartbeat, no one moved. Then, as she lifted her gaze, her eyes catching the light, she opened her mouth and said just one word:
"Y.O.L.O!"
Her voice cracked like thunder.
The crowd roared in response.

As Moca struck the final chord, her fingers sliding cleanly off the strings, the crowd erupted into cheers. Afterglow had done it again—no hesitation, no missed beats. Local favorites for a reason. The way they owned the stage was second nature now.
From the corner of my eye, I noticed Yukina smiling faintly, her usually stoic expression softening.
Ceb leaned back beside me, arms crossed and a look of mild surprise on his face. "Riku, I didn't expect your little sister to have that deep of a voice."
I chuckled quietly. "Trust me, I didn't either. When I saw Ran again after all those years, I nearly didn't recognize the voice coming out of her. But look—she's already turning heads."
I gestured toward the scout section, where several agents had their phones raised, recording Ran's performance like hawks tracking prey.
"You think they'll get scouted?" Ceb asked.
"That depends," I replied. "They're a package deal. If you take one, you take all five. That's part of the charm—and the challenge. Afterglow isn't built for solo acts. They're a bond turned into sound. Himari told me that once."
Ceb gave a low whistle. "Now that's risky."
"Maybe," I said, watching Ran toss her hair back, mic in hand, her eyes burning with that familiar spark. "But that's what makes them work."
Ran raised her arm, her confident grin flashing under the lights. "Now, let's keep up the momentum. Tsunagu, Soramoyou!"
The crowd answered with a roar.

When the song finally ended, the cheers that followed were even louder than before. People were standing, waving their phones, recording every moment. I joined the applause, a quiet pride swelling in my chest.
Yukina turned toward me, her expression thoughtful. "You seem pleased with Mitake-san, Riku-san."
I smirked. "Just proud that Little Red can finally play without holding back."
Hina blinked, tilting her head. "Little Red? Is that Ran-chan's nickname? That's so boppin' cute~!"
Chisato sighed, already bracing for trouble. "Hina-chan, don't ever say that when Ran-chan's around. She'll melt on the spot."
I nodded. "Yeah. I can call her that because I'm family. Anyone else says it, and she'll probably walk off mid-conversation."
The group chuckled as the stage lights dimmed for the next setup.
Miyu looked over. "Riku-san, the next one to perform is Rondo, right?"
Her question made Yukina freeze, just slightly—barely enough to notice, but I caught it.
I nodded, my gaze fixed on the stage. "Yeah. Rondo's next. After that, it's the idols' turn to close it out."
Maya blinked, surprised. "Eh? They're still performing? I thought the Love Live qualifiers changed a lot."
"They are," I said. "But they wanted to do this anyway. Keep their rhythm going, keep the momentum alive heading into the main event, and they want to gain more popularity as much as possible."
Eve brightened. "That's the spirit! It's best to keep morale high while it matters most!"
I gave her a small nod in agreement, then leaned slightly toward Ceb.
"Is everything ready for the conference?" I murmured.
Ceb nodded, lowering his voice too. "Yeah. Johan's on his way here before heading to Arlington. It's been a while since we've done one of these, huh?"
"Yeah," I said. "He'll have to get used to it—comes with being an owner. Same goes for you, co-owner or not."
Ceb chuckled softly. "Yeah, yeah, I know. What about you, though? You ready for that spotlight again?"
I gave a nonchalant shrug. "Ready as I'll ever be."
Before Ceb could respond, a burst of wind swept across the venue as Aya's voice boomed through the speakers.
"Two down and three to go!" she shouted, hovering above the stage, her wings catching the colored lights. "Now, this next group needs no introduction to anyone who's been around the scene! They're a DJ unit with a reputation that stretches across the region, and if you're lucky, you might've caught their exclusive sets at their home club!"
The crowd's energy surged again. Aya smirked, twirling the mic between her fingers like a seasoned host. "But tonight—oh, tonight—they've come to show you why they stand above the rest! So get ready, everyone, and give it up for... Rondo!"
The lights went out.
Then, a low hum rolled across the room, followed by the deep thrum of a synth bass. One by one, the members appeared under dim violet light—Aoi and Hiiro in the back, Tsubaki and Nagisa at the front.
Hiiro's shadow moved gracefully behind her DJ table, hands flowing over the decks like water. Aoi adjusted her headset, the faintest grin tugging at her lips as the first beat dropped.
The crowd gasped as Nagisa slung her guitar over her shoulder, a shimmering black model with streaks of silver. Her fingers brushed the strings once, producing a crisp metallic tone that echoed across the hall.
And then there was Tsubaki.
She stepped forward, calm and composed, her presence commanding without a single wasted motion. Her eyes found mine through the lights—just for a second—and she smiled. A knowing, quiet smile that made my pulse hitch.
"Now then," she said into the mic, her voice smooth as silk. "Let's get to business."
The crowd waited, the silence electric.
"Celcius."
The name dropped like a match into gasoline.
And then the explosion came—bass, lights, sound—an entire storm of rhythm and color bursting to life at once.
And what happened next... was something I hadn't accounted for.
Celcius

3rd POV
The hall had fallen into absolute silence, as though the final note Tsubaki had struck had sucked all sound from the air. Not a single person stirred. Even the cheers and applause from before seemed like a distant memory, replaced by an almost tangible awe that hung over everyone like a thick curtain. It wasn't just quiet; it was reverent, the kind of silence that demanded reflection, a pause to let the impact sink in.
In the VIP section, the effect was the same. Eyes widened, jaws slackened, hands stilled mid-motion.
Ceb finally spoke, his voice low and almost reverential, French rolling off his tongue like a spell. "Incroyable... penser qu'une telle voix existait..." He shook his head, awed, as if Tsubaki's voice had rewritten the very definition of beauty for him.
Yukina's eyes narrowed, her lips pressed into a thin line. There was no anger, no envy—just determination simmering beneath the surface. "Tsubaki has gotten better," she murmured, her voice quiet but firm. "I'll have to step it up."
Lisa glanced at her with a subtle frown. "Yukina..." she started, caution in her tone.
Ako tilted her head, sensing the tension in the room. "Lisa-nee... is this about something between the two of them?"
Lisa's gaze flicked toward the stage, then back to Yukina. "Well... Tsubaki learned to sing from Yukina's father once upon a time. And let's just say... a rivalry developed."
Yukina's jaw clenched, though she didn't avert her gaze from the stage. "There's no animosity, but... I can't ignore how far she's gone ahead of me."
Rinko placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry, Yukina-san. We're here for you."
Yukina's expression softened slightly. "Thank you... Rinko. Riku-san," she added, turning toward the man sitting quietly nearby. "What do you think of Tsubaki?"
Riku's eyes remained fixed on the stage. No answer came. He didn't even blink, and the faint crease of concentration on his forehead deepened.
Chisato nudged his shoulder gently. "Onii-sama? Are you okay?"
Then the voice came—not Riku's, but another, sharper and smoother. Familiar, yet different enough to make everyone pause.
"Don't bother," it said. "He won't talk."
All eyes snapped to Riku. His right eye, normally a calm ocean blue, now burned ruby red. It was clear: Tenshi was in control.
Rinko's voice trembled slightly. "Tenshi? It's... it's you. But why are you speaking instead of Riku?"
The voice answered without hesitation. "Riku broke down in tears. He doesn't want to talk right now. Iku and Albion are keeping watch over him in the Dragon Palace."
The room fell silent again. Even the unflappable Ceb stared in disbelief.
Miyu leaned in, voice barely a whisper. "Tsubaki-san's voice... it made Riku-san cry?"
Ceb shook his head, still stunned. "To think that this is the first time I've ever seen him cry over a song. This group has a lot of potential..."
The magnitude of the revelation settled over the group. Each one processed it differently—some shocked, some in awe. The performance on stage had not only moved the audience but had struck the man they all respected with the force of something nearly sacred.
Below, the stage lights shifted as Tsubaki prepared for her second song. The ethereal silence continued as she set herself, her posture commanding, yet delicate.
"Let's not waste any more time," she said, voice calm but edged with authority. "[Re]termination."

And when the final chord rang out, the silence returned—this time heavier, almost suffocating. Some of the audience were already wiping tears, some simply stared, mouths slightly open, as if the music had drained them of all words.
Aya whispered, almost to herself, "Beautiful..."
Hina, ever observant, teased, "Oya~ is Aya-chan... having a crush right now?"
"Hina-chan!" Chisato scolded softly, tapping Hina on the head.
Sayo's voice cut in, calm and measured. "Incredible... that's all I can say. Now I understand why Minato-san calls her a rival."
Riku exhaled slowly, shaking his head. "Yeah. Honestly... if she had a drummer, she could be one hell of a band."
Everyone snapped their heads toward him, startled that he was speaking now—and that it was Riku himself, not Tenshi.
Rinko leaned in, worry flickering across her features. "Riku... are you okay?"
He nodded slowly, blinking away the remnants of emotion. "Yeah... just need a moment. Rinko, did you notice something in the way Tsubaki sang?"
Rinko's eyes softened. "Yes... her style, her elegance... it's reminiscent of Miku-obaa-san. Powerful and refined. Do you think she studied under her?"
Riku shook his head. "Unlikely. Her schedule alone leaves her little time for anything extra." He paused, frowning at his phone. "But—what the... Hatate?"
The phone buzzed insistently. Riku answered, holding it to his ear.
"Riku, there's a small problem," Hatate's voice crackled on the line.
"And that is?"
"You said OG signed μ's, right? What will Aya say when introducing them? Will she call them μ's or OG?"
Riku glanced toward the stage, considering. He whispered to Ceb, who gave a simple thumbs-up. Returning to the phone, he instructed Hatate.
"Call them OG. Give the crowd a little surprise."
"Understood. Also, the set order changed. MORE MORE JUMP goes next, and μ's will close the night."
Riku nodded. "Do what's needed. Marina's in charge of the show, right?"
"Right. Talk to you later." Hatate signed off, leaving Riku with a sense of calm amidst the storm of sound and emotion.
Miyu leaned closer. "Riku-san... so the idols going next are MORE MORE JUMP and μ's?"
"Yes," Riku confirmed. "Order changed last minute. MORE MORE JUMP goes first, then μ's finishes."
Yukina tilted her head. "Why the change?"
Lisa shrugged, giving no insight. The question lingered unanswered as the focus shifted back to the stage.
Aya stepped forward, her wings spreading wide as the lights dimmed. The crowd's anticipation surged again.
"Two down, and two to go!" she announced, voice booming. "The final acts are not like the others... because these are idols!"
The cheering swelled, louder than any before. Riku recognized classmates among the crowd, shouting encouragement more fervently than anyone else.
"And the first idol group to grace this stage," Aya continued, "composed of three former idols returning to guide their leader toward her dream, with a certain... secret help... I present... MORE MORE JUMP!"
The lights flared, revealing Shizuku and Airi to the left, Haruka and Minori to the right, and Miku standing firmly in the center. As the first notes rang out, they launched into the performance with flawless precision, their energy igniting the entire hall instantly.

The hall was alive again, ringing with cheers and applause as MORE MORE JUMP's first performance came to an electrifying end. Light shimmered across the stage, catching on sequins and smiles, while in the VIP section, every gaze stayed fixed forward.
Riku leaned back in his seat, quietly watching as the energy of the crowd surged. Beside him, the members of Pastel*Palettes sat utterly still—wide-eyed, stunned, and in Aya's case, completely entranced.
"Sugoi... Chisato-chan, do you think—"
"No."
The answer was sharp but kind, cutting off Aya's thought before it could drift further. Chisato kept her eyes on the stage, her expression calm but resolute. "Aya-chan, they have their own style, and we have ours. We can't call ourselves idols if we just copy what others do."
Aya pouted slightly but nodded, knowing Chisato wasn't wrong.
Riku smiled faintly, folding his arms. "Chisato's right. But that doesn't mean you can't learn from them. Take the feeling they create, the energy they carry, and shape it into something that fits you."
Maya, always observant, leaned forward. "Riku-san, has MORE MORE JUMP signed with an organization? I was reading through the Love Live regulations earlier, and it made me wonder."
Riku shook his head. "No. For personal reasons, MORE MORE JUMP can't sign under any existing org. Instead, they're being endorsed by the Nagae family."
That immediately caught everyone's attention.
He raised a hand before the questions could pour in. "And before you ask—everything will be explained during the Nagae conference later on. Until then, keep those questions to yourselves, alright?"
The group exchanged glances but nodded obediently.
Just as the noise in the crowd began to rise again, Riku's posture shifted slightly. He straightened, a flicker of instinct passing through his gaze.
"Onii-sama? Where are you going?"
He stood, his tone measured. "Backstage. I've got a feeling I should be there."
"Are you sure? You might miss their next song."
Miyu reminded Riku as he smirked faintly, already walking toward the exit. "No need. I already know what they're about to play. But if I were you—keep your eyes on the stage."
His footsteps faded into the corridor, leaving the others exchanging uncertain looks before turning back toward the performance.
Then, the lights dimmed again.
At first, nothing seemed out of place—just Miku standing center stage, mic in hand, smiling softly as the next intro swelled. But then something strange began to happen. Her body shimmered. The glow wasn't stage lighting—it was something else, faint at first, then unmistakably ethereal.
Gasps rippled through the audience as Miku's outline flickered, her form fading away.
Confusion spread like wildfire. Even the production staff froze, unsure if this was part of the show or a technical failure. And then—
A golden hue began to bloom on stage.
Right where Miku had stood, light gathered, swirling like sunlight caught in motion. From it emerged another figure—slightly smaller, wearing the same outfit design but trimmed with vivid yellow and white. The audience's collective breath hitched.
The new figure opened her eyes, a cheerful spark dancing in them as she flashed a grin.
"Good evening~! I'm Kagamine Rin! And I'll be performing with Shizuku and the others for this next song!"
The reaction was instant. The hall exploded with cheers, the audience rising to their feet. Shizuku and Airi exchanged astonished glances, but quickly fell into rhythm—smiling, nodding, ready to roll with the moment.
Minori clenched her fist, her excitement bubbling over. "Hm! Let's do this! Metamo RE:BORN!"
And as the lights blazed back to life, the music surged—a new rhythm, fresh and alive, washing through the hall like a second sunrise.

The roar of the crowd was deafening, their cheers rolling like thunder through the entire arena. Every hand waved high in the air, every voice screamed as MORE MORE JUMP delivered a performance that was nothing short of sensational—the perfect embodiment of their song's name.
At the VIP area, Aya and the rest of Pastel*Palettes could only watch in awe. Their hearts pounded with admiration and determination as they absorbed the energy of the crowd. The sight of the audience so completely enthralled left no doubt—this was the level they needed to reach. Aya clenched her phone, her lips curving into a confident grin.
"We'll get there," she murmured under her breath. "No—we'll go even further."
The others nodded, silent but resolute. A promise had been made among them without a single word.
Meanwhile, behind the curtain, Aichi stood with μ's—the final act of the night. The group huddled together in front of a large backstage monitor, watching MORE MORE JUMP's final chorus unfold in all its brilliance.
Hanayo's hands fidgeted nervously. "H-how are we supposed to compete with that...?"
Rin's eyes twitched as she leaned closer to the screen. "They even got the crowd hyped up, nya..."
Nico crossed her arms, her expression caught between admiration and irritation. "As expected from pros. They're not making it easy for us."
"Stop with the negative thoughts, girls," Aichi said firmly, eyes fixed on the screen. "Shizuku-san and the others just set the tempo. It's our job to keep it up."
Hanayo bit her lip. "But... what if we screw up again?"
Honoka, who had been unusually quiet until now, raised her head. "We won't."
Everyone turned toward her. The calm conviction in her voice startled them—it wasn't loud, but it carried a kind of unshakable strength that hadn't been there for a long time.
Kotori's voice softened. "Honoka-chan..."
Honoka looked at each of them, her hands balling into fists. "We're not here to play it safe anymore. We're here to show everyone that μ's is back—and that we're stronger than before."
Nozomi smiled faintly, sensing the fire behind those words. "Honokacchi..."
The memory still haunted all of them. The image of Honoka collapsing on stage last year had been burned into their minds—the moment everything had fallen apart. Their disqualification had almost destroyed μ's entirely. Honoka had blamed herself endlessly, and it had taken months for her to recover—not just her body, but her spirit. Yet, here she was now, her eyes steady, her heart clear.
"I like that drive, Honoka."
The familiar voice turned their attention toward the entrance. Riku was there, walking toward them with his usual quiet confidence.
Eli's composure faltered for a split second. "Dear, you're here."
The entire group froze.
Nozomi's grin turned sly. "Oya~ Elicchi, did your relationship with Rikucchi level up already? Don't tell me you've reached third base~"
The room instantly erupted in blushing faces and flustered protests. Riku just sighed, then gave Nozomi a quick smack on the head.
"Enough teasing," he said dryly. "You'll give them the wrong idea."
"Ow~! You didn't have to hit so hard, Rikucchi," Nozomi pouted, rubbing her head.
Maki folded her arms, trying to hide her smirk. "Why are you even here? Didn't you say you'd leave everything to Marina-san?"
Riku shrugged. "I did. But something told me I should drop by."
Aichi chuckled softly. "If it's your intuition, then I won't argue."
Riku's gaze moved back to Honoka. "You're right to be confident. You've practiced harder than anyone else. This is your chance to prove it. Consider this your redemption arc."
Hanayo straightened up, her nerves easing as she absorbed his words. One by one, the others felt their tension dissolve too.
Just then, MORE MORE JUMP came off stage, still glowing with post-performance adrenaline. Miku and Kagamine Rin suddenly appeared on the backstage monitor, hijacking the feed with wide smiles.
"Riku!" Miku waved, her voice bright and melodic. "How did we do?"
Kagamine Rin bounced beside her, grinning from ear to ear. "You saw me dancing with Shizuku and the others, right?"
Riku chuckled. "Yeah. It was... sensational."
The two virtual idols high-fived each other in victory before turning back to the camera, proud and beaming.
But Riku's sharp eyes caught something else—Haruka and Airi walking with unsteady steps, their exhaustion barely hidden. He and Aichi hurried over.
"Haruka-san?" Aichi asked, his tone concerned. "You alright?"
Haruka offered a small, tired smile. "Just need a breather. We've done live performances before, but this... this was different."
Airi nodded beside her. "Yeah... it wasn't like our usual shows."
Riku crossed his arms thoughtfully. "Depends on who's watching. Remember what I said earlier? There are international scouts here tonight."
Shizuku's eyes widened slightly. "So that's why..."
Riku nodded. "Exactly. You've made your mark out there. Now, Minori—take Haruka and Airi back to rest. You girls did a great job."
Minori's smile was genuine and full of pride. "Thank you, Riku-san!"
Riku turned back to the screen. "As for you two," he said to Miku and Rin, "time to return to the SEKAI."
"Roger that!" Rin saluted, while Miku winked playfully before both vanished from the monitor, returning to Minori's phone. With that, MORE MORE JUMP exited, leaving the stage for the next act.
Riku exhaled, a faint smirk forming. "Well, it's your time now."
Honoka nodded firmly. "Hai. We'll make sure not to disappoint you, Riku-san."
He raised an eyebrow. "You're still too tense. Breathe. Shoulders down. Look at me."
She followed his instructions, drawing in a deep breath, unclenching her hands, and meeting his eyes. Something steadied inside her at that moment—the storm in her chest settled.
"Thanks, Riku-san. I needed that."
"No problem," he said simply. "You're the leader. If the leader wavers, so does the team. Now go. Show them what you've got."
Honoka turned to her fellow idols, the spark in her gaze contagious. Each of them nodded, their hearts unified once more. Together, they walked toward the stage entrance, the faint hum of the crowd growing louder with each step until the lights met them.
As they disappeared beyond the curtains, Aichi and Riku stood side by side, watching the monitor.
"Everything's up to them now," Riku said quietly.
Aichi nodded. "Yeah."
Riku glanced at him from the corner of his eye. "You ready for what comes after this?"
Aichi gave a soft chuckle. "Yeah... I think I am."
Their conversation was cut short as the screen shifted. The lights in the arena dimmed, and Aya's voice burst through the speakers with her signature charisma.
"Now we're down to the last group!" Aya's energy electrified the entire venue. "They made a name for themselves a year ago, only to fall from grace. But tonight—these nine girls return to the stage for their grand comeback!"
The audience leaned forward, anticipation thick in the air. Aya continued, her excitement rising.
"Once, they were known as μ's. But tonight, bearing a new name and a new era... ladies and gentlemen, give it up for—OG!"
The arena erupted. Gasps, cheers, disbelief—all colliding into one explosive reaction. Even the scouts in the VIP seats exchanged looks of shock. μ's, under OG? No one had seen that coming.
At the VIP section, Maya nearly jumped out of her seat. "EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH?!"
Hina clapped her hands in glee. "That's so boppin' cool!"
Chisato turned toward the front row where Ceb sat, cool as ever. "Ceb-san, is this true?"
Ceb smirked. "Yup. No organization wanted to take the risk with μ's, so me and Riku decided to make the call ourselves."
Yukina arched a brow. "So you claimed them before anyone else could."
Ceb gave a faint shrug. "Something like that."
Backstage, Aichi was still processing what he'd just heard. "Riku... what's the meaning of this?"
Riku leaned close, lowering his voice. "We wanted everyone to know μ's is officially part of OG. But there's more."
He whispered the rest to Aichi, whose eyes widened more with each word.
"You're serious?"
"Dead serious." Riku's expression didn't waver. "Now focus. They're starting."
On the screen, Honoka stood center stage, the spotlights bathing her in gold. She took a deep breath, eyes closed for one heartbeat, and then opened them—bright, steady, alive. The music began, and with it, the revival of μ's... or rather, OG.
And from the quiet backstage corridor, Riku and Aichi watched in silence as the stage came alive once more—proof that even after falling, some stars were meant to rise again.

The final note hung in the air like a promise, shimmering before dissolving into a roar of applause. The entire hall erupted—waves of cheers crashing over the stage as the nine girls of μ's stood center under the bright white lights. The crowd's excitement was raw, almost reverent.
Down in the VIP rows, even the scouts—seasoned professionals who had seen countless performances—were caught off guard. Phones rose all at once as they began recording, unable to believe what they'd just witnessed: nine voices perfectly synchronized, every move precise yet alive with soul.
Backstage, Aichi leaned forward, eyes fixed on the monitor. "That's it... just like that."
Riku, standing beside him with arms folded, tilted his head slightly. "I take it everything's going according to plan?"
Aichi gave a calm nod. "Yeah. If they can nail the next song, this event's a total success."
Riku smirked faintly. "Then let's see if they can pull it off."
The crowd slowly hushed, anticipation heavy in the air. On stage, Honoka glanced down the line of her teammates. Each one gave a small nod back. Together, they lifted their mics. The soft chime of the next instrumental filled the air—and just like that, they began their second song.

One performance later, the hall exploded again. The cheers this time were louder, richer, fueled by awe and relief alike. μ's had done it—they hadn't just performed; they had conquered.
Riku and Aichi exchanged a quick look before sharing a firm fist bump. Out on the stage, Honoka led the others in a deep bow, the nine of them shimmering in the lights like the stars they'd always dreamed to become.
At the far side of the backstage, Marina stood frozen, her hands over her mouth. Her shoulders began to tremble, and before long, tears slipped past her fingers. The noise, the crowd, the success—after so many years of rejection and uncertainty, it all came crashing down on her at once.
Riku noticed and quietly made his way over. Without a word, he wrapped his arms around her.
"You did great, Marina," he murmured. "I'm proud of you."
That was all it took. The tears came freely now as she clung to him, her breath shaky from the weight she'd carried for so long. She had poured her soul into this event—organizing, negotiating, hoping—and now, for the first time, her efforts had borne fruit.
Across the room, Aichi watched the scene with a soft smile.
Moments later, μ's returned backstage, their faces glowing with post-performance euphoria. They stopped when they spotted Riku and Marina embracing.
Nozomi's lips curved with mischief, but before she could open her mouth, Aichi stepped in and gently pressed a hand to her shoulder. "Let them be, Nozomi. I think Marina-san needs this one."
The purple-haired girl blinked, then nodded. The teasing died before it could take shape.
Eli smiled quietly, eyes glistening. "She truly deserves it..."
Umi agreed. "Marina-san's been supporting us from the start—even though she had no experience managing idols."
By the time Riku and Marina finally stepped apart, the girls were waiting for them with knowing smiles.
Riku straightened his jacket and gave them a nod. "Good work, all of you. I—"
Before he could finish, Nico marched up, grabbed him by the collar, and yanked him down to her level.
"Oi, what was that bullshit that birdbrain just said on stage? She called us OG—not μ's. What the hell's that about?"
Her glare was fierce, but there was no real malice behind it. The others hovered close, clearly sharing the question.
Riku adjusted his shirt after she released him. "Relax. I wanted everyone to know that you girls are under our banner now. Some of the scouts have been trying to recruit you individually, and like Eli said to me a few days ago—it isn't μ's if it's not all nine of you. If even one of you left, it wouldn't be the same anymore."
His tone was firm but sincere, each word landing with weight.
The girls exchanged looks. The explanation hit deeper than they'd expected, and even Nico's frustration melted away. She exhaled heavily, running a hand through her hair. "Alright, fine. You got me there. But still... it's weird calling ourselves part of the OG. You know—that name's basically a legend in the music world."
Riku's smirk returned. "You'll get used to it. For now, celebrate. You earned it." He turned to Marina. "Go with them, take the night in. You deserve the spotlight too."
Marina wiped her eyes, smiling faintly. "Sure. Come on, girls."
The nine idols followed her out of the backstage area, their laughter trailing behind them as the sound of celebration filled the halls.
Once they were gone, only Aichi and Riku remained. The echoes of music still hummed faintly from the arena beyond.
Riku's gaze lingered on the now-empty stage feed. "So... you ready for the next step?"
Aichi's smile was faint but steady. "Yeah. There'll be no turning back now." He paused, his hand slipping into his pocket. "Wish me luck, Riku."
"Always," Riku replied, his voice calm and certain.
As Aichi turned and walked toward the opposite corridor, Riku watched him go. He felt something quiet settle inside—a sense of fulfillment, maybe even relief. The event had exceeded every expectation.
Marina had proven herself beyond doubt, her leadership steady and her instincts sharper than ever. Riku knew then that he could finally entrust CiRCLE to her when he returned to competing.
What none of them realized in that moment was how this night would change Marina's life forever. Word of the event's success would spread far beyond Tokyo, and soon her name—Tsukushima Marina—would echo across Japan's music industry. In time, she would stand among the country's top managers, her story beginning right here, in the glow of this single night's triumph.
----------
Live House CiRCLE – Entrance
10:30 P.M.
Riku's POV
The second live at CiRCLE was an absolute triumph. The crowd roared long after the final lights dimmed, and the air still thrummed with excitement. The girls had outdone themselves—each band, each song—pushing CiRCLE's name higher into the sky. But the true shock of the night came when Aya announced μ's as OG. That single reveal ignited the audience like a spark to powder.
Thirty minutes later, as I scrolled through my social media feed, I couldn't help but smirk. #CiRCLELive was trending third in Japan and ninth globally in the professional music scene. Every metric lined up perfectly. Everything had gone according to plan.
After μ's wrapped up their encore, I caught Aichi backstage and wished him luck with Honoka and Umi before slipping out quietly. Now, standing by CiRCLE's glass entrance, the night breeze brushing against my jacket, I waited with Rinko, Miyu, and the others, ready to call it a day.
Ceb had already left earlier—he needed to pack for his flight tomorrow morning.
Sayo turned to me as we reached the doors. "You're not staying here, Riku-san?"
I shook my head lightly. "This is Marina's moment. She earned it. I'll stay out of the spotlight tonight."
Lisa raised a brow. "You're giving her a lot of credit."
"She deserves it," I replied without hesitation. "I'm confident she can handle this place even when I'm gone. That's more than enough proof for me."
Yukina folded her arms, studying me. "So this was a test?"
A faint smile tugged at my lips. "You could call it that. And she passed with flying colors. Now I know CiRCLE's in capable hands when I return to the pro scene."
Before anyone could respond, my phone buzzed in my pocket. The caller ID flashed Eirin-san. My stomach tightened a little. I hesitated before answering.
"Hello, Eirin-san?"
"Riku," her calm voice came through, laced with an undertone I couldn't quite place, "are you free tomorrow morning?"
"Uh... no, I mean—yeah, I'm free. Is something wrong?"
"You could say that," she said quietly. "It concerns your body. Come to the general hospital tomorrow morning. Udongein will pick you up. I'd rather discuss it there."
That tone... it wasn't her usual clinical detachment. It was careful. Deliberate.
"Alright. I'll be there," I said, then hung up.
When I looked up, the others were staring. Turns out I'd left the call on speaker.
Miyu's face tightened with worry. "Riku-san, is something wrong with you?"
"I'm fine, Miyu." I tried to brush it off. "Eirin-san just wants to run a few checks."
Rinko frowned softly. "I know that tone of hers... It didn't sound routine. I can't shake the feeling it's something serious."
I met her eyes, steady but tired. "You girls don't need to worry. I promise I'll be fine." Then I exhaled and forced a lighter tone. "Now, let's get everyone home before Marina locks the doors."
Lisa spoke first. "Me and Yukina live close by. You can leave her to me."
Ako adjusted her hat. "I'll wait here for onee-chan."
Chisato smiled. "I know a shortcut to Aya-chan's place. We'll be fine."
Maya raised a hand. "Eve-san and I live on the same block, so no problem there."
"Good," I said, relieved to see them settling into their own little routes. "Then take care, all of you. Get home safe."
The group dispersed, laughter and chatter fading down different streets, leaving just the three of us—me, Rinko, and Miyu—walking into the cool, quiet night.
We hadn't gone far when the air trembled. A crimson pillar of light tore through the distant skyline, painting the clouds blood-red for a brief, blinding instant. The three of us froze.
Miyu clutched her arm. "Riku-san... what was that?"
"I was about to ask you the same thing."
Rinko turned to me, unease flickering in her eyes. "That didn't look normal."
"No," I murmured, narrowing my gaze toward the source. "It wasn't. That kind of energy... it's a cultivator's breakthrough. Chinese technique, mostly. The color tells the story."
"Red means... strong?" Miyu guessed.
"Very," I said. "Whoever that has become a Spirit Douluo..."
Rinko frowned. "What's a Spirit Douluo? Do you think you could beat someone like that?"
I gave a small, humorless chuckle. "That's a story for another time. But in terms on if I can beat them... I can. And that depends on how they fight, and I'm more versatile as I have a lot of spells and trump cards too."
The light slowly dimmed, leaving only the faint hum of the city. I slipped my hands into my pockets. "Either way, it's not our problem for now. The clan heads definitely felt that surge. They'll investigate before the night's over."
Rinko looked at me again, searching my face for reassurance.
"Don't worry," I said quietly. "Let's just get home."
As we continued walking, the world felt heavier somehow—the air thick with unseen tension. My thoughts drifted back to Eirin-san's call, to that careful tone she rarely used. I tried to shake it off, but a part of me already knew this wasn't going to be a simple checkup.
Still, I kept my expression steady for Rinko and Miyu's sake. The two of them didn't need to carry that weight tonight.
By the time we reached the quiet street where the lamps burned low, I glanced up at the sky—clear, endless, and silent again.
Tomorrow would come soon enough. And whatever Eirin-san had to say... I just hoped it wouldn't turn everything upside down. And unfortunately for me...it did...in more ways than one.
