Hello Everyone,
Over the past several months, Crown Obsidian has grown far beyond what I originally planned. What started as a dark vigilante story evolved into a much larger universe involving megacorporations, metahumans, political conflicts, supernatural elements, detective noir and interconnected character arcs.
As the story expanded, I began to notice inconsistencies, unresolved plot threads, pacing issues and storylines that deserved more attention and structure. Rather than ignore those problems I have decided to address them directly.
Chapters 16 to 18 are designed as a major turning point for Crown Obsidian.
These chapters focus heavily on;
- Resolving lingering plot threads.
- Reconnecting older storylines
- Deepening the Wedding Ring Slayer Arc
- Restoring narrative cohesion
- Expanding Detective Brady's role
- Grounding the world of Promise city
- Establish a stronger long term structure for the series moving forward.
After Chapter 18, Crown Obsidian will temporarily enter a planning and restructuring phase while I work on a full series bible for the universe. This includes;
- Timelines
- Organizations
- Character Databases
- Lore structure
- political /worldbuilding consistency
- Future arc planning And overall story direction
This is not the end of Crown Obsidian.
Quite the opposite.
This break is being taken to ensure the series returns stronger, more focused and more consistent, as well as more ambitious than before.
During this period I will also be working on other creative projects, like for example, more Chronicles.
As well as continuing to develop the long term future of Crown Obsidian behind the scenes. I have many concepts lined up, and ideas for future storylines.
To reiterate, Chapter 16 to 18 will be released, Chapter 16 this coming Sunday (24/05/26), Chapter 17 Sunday (31/05/26) and finally Chapter 18 Sunday (07/06/26), then the break begins.
I genuinely appreciate everyone who has read, supported, commented on, criticised, theorized about or simply given this world a chance.
Thank you for sticking with the story.
