The next few days Haruto continued training in preparation for his spar with Menma. He also visited the library where he discovered the information about chakra available to the public wasn't a lot. It was fortunate that he was offered training by Minato, or he wouldn't have learnt as much as he did about chakra. On the fifth day of training, Haruto decided he had done enough training and that he needed to spar with someone to get the experience he would need to defeat Menma. So he decided to ask Naruko to meet him at the training ground, they used a few days ago with Anko and Kurenai.
"So Haruto why did you ask me to meet you here?" Naruko asked curiously once they had both arrived at the training grounds.
"I want to have a spar against you," Haruto said. Naruko was surprised by his request and decided to find out why he wanted to spar against her.
"Why do you want to spar against me?" Naruko asked.
"I want to spar against you because I need more experience fighting people if I want any chance of beating Menma, and fighting against you seemed the perfect way to accomplish that, and you're my friend I thought it would be fun to have a spar against you," Haruto replied.
Naruko thought about it for a few moments before smiling happily.
"Sure I would love to, but I'm letting you know right now, just because you're my friend doesn't mean I'm going to go easy on you," Naruko said competitively punching her fist into her palm.
"I would expect no less from you," Haruto said grinning.
The two of them moved into position to get ready for their spar. The two of them then charged at each other. While Naruko was running towards Haruto she went through some hand signs.
"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu," Naruko said shooting a fireball at Haruto who went through his own hand signs and put his hands on the ground.
"Earth Style: Mud wall," Haruto said causing a wall of earth to rise from the ground and block the fireball. Haruto hearing Naruko approaching from the left of the mud wall threw some shurikens towards her when she came around the mud wall and the shurikens hit her she turned into a cloud of smoke.
Haruto surprised by this turned around only to get kicked in the stomach sending him flying back several feet. Naruko then engaged him in taijutsu pressing the advantage. Haruto kicked Naruko's feet from under her making her land on her back. Haruto then jumped on top off Naruko but she kicks him off her. He regains his footing in midair before landing.
"Striking Shadow Snakes," Haruto said summoning snakes out of his sleeve and sending them towards Naruko. Naruko threw several kunai at the snakes seeing them approaching her, killing some of them. Seeing how close the snakes were, Naruko jumped backwards but wasn't quick enough, allowing one snake to bite her on the leg. Naruko landed wincing in pain having landed on her injured leg.
Naruko threw a kunai that landed next to Haruto who thought nothing of it, thinking her arm is getting tired till he heard a sizzling noise. Looking down Haruto saw an explosive tag attached to the kunai, his eyes widening in surprise he jumped away just in time to escape the explosion.
Naruko then appeared right in front of him and gave him an uppercut punch and followed through by spinning around and giving him a kick to the side of his head causing him to land on the ground. Naruko then landed on top of him holding a kunai to his throat.
"My win," Naruko said smiling.
"It certainly is, that was most impressive," Haruto said not bothered by his defeat in the slightest, already having predicted he would lose the spar. Naruko got off Haruto and offered him her hand which he took to help him stand back up.
"That was fun we have to do that again," Naruko said excited having never spared against a friend before.
Before Haruto could reply he was interrupted by a voice lazily commenting. "That was impressive you two."
Turning around Haruto saw a person with spiky silver hair that leads to his left side. He had dark grey eyes and a relaxed expression. He had a forehead protector covering his left eye and he had a mask covering the lower half of his face. He was wearing the standard Leaf outfit and had his nose in a book not seemingly looking at them.
"Kakashi," Naruko said happily running towards Kakashi and giving him a hug while he just patted her on the head gently.
"It's good to see you again Naruko, you seem to have gotten stronger and have even made a friend while I was gone," Kakashi said the last bit while looking at Haruto.
"Yep, this is my friend Haruto. I met him at Ichiraku Ramen where we soon became friends," Naruko said.
"Good to hear. I presume he's an academy student like you," Kakashi said, eyes smiling at Naruko.
"Nope he's a visiting Lord from Great Britain who came here to learn all he could about chakra," Naruko replied. Kakashi's one eye widened in surprise hearing he was a Lord.
"I'm surprised a Lord would be interested in learning about chakra," Kakashi said to Haruto.
"I wish to learn all types of magic there are in the world so I came here to learn about chakra," Haruto replied. Kakashi's one eye remained on him for several moments to see if he was telling the truth before realising he was.
"For a Lord, you handled yourself well, how long have you had a tutor in the shinobi arts?"Kakashi asked.
"I only started learning how to use chakra four days ago," Haruto replied. Kakashi not believing him looked to Naruko for confirmation.
"It's true Minato only started training him in the use of chakra four days ago, Minato calls him a prodigy seeing how fast he learns everything," Naruko said.
Kakashi raised an eyebrow wondering why she called her Father by his first name before figuring it had something to do with no longer blaming herself for the reason she was neglected. He would have to thank Haruto at some point because of him, Naruko seems to have had a weight lifted off her shoulders and she seems happier than before. I guess no longer blaming yourself can do a lot to change a person.
It also took him by surprise that Haruto had only started training in the use of chakra four days ago and he had already progressed so far, no wonder Minato called him a prodigy. He could tell Naruko wasn't lying about this. He would have to speak to Minato about this later on.
"That's impressive by the way my name is Kakashi Hatake nice to meet you," Kakashi said his one eye smiling at Haruto.
"Nice to meet you Hatake-san I am Lord Haruto le Fey," Haruto said formally.
"There's no need to call me san Hatake is fine," Kakashi said waving his hand dismissively.
"When I get to know you better I will," Haruto replied politely, Kakashi shrugged his shoulder saying do as you please.
"So why are you two having a spar all the way out here? And not back at Minato's house?" Kakashi asked turning a page of his book.
"Haruto has a spar with Menma in two days, so were sparing out here so she doesn't see what he's capable off," Naruko said. Kakashi nodded his head in agreement.
"A smart choice but at this rate, Haruto will never beat Menma," Kakashi said bluntly.
"Kakashi you can't just say that," Naruko said.
"No he's right Naruko, there's no way I will beat Namikaze with just two more days of training," Haruto said appreciating Kakashi's bluntness.
"I know, why don't you train Haruto, Kakashi, with someone of your skills training him, I know he will beat Menma," Naruko said.
"I don't know. I just got back from a mission, I'm not sure I fancy training someone when I could be relaxing," Kakashi said thoughtfully, thinking of all the Icha Icha he could read.
"Please," Naruko said with a cute pout and watering eyes. Kakashi seeing this tried to resist it but soon caved in.
"Fine, for my favourite duckling," Kakashi said defeated.
"YES," Naruko shouted pumping her fist into the air excited. "With Kakashi training you Haruto, you will kick Menma's ass for sure."
"If you say so," Haruto said not having a great impression of Kakashi seeing as he's crouching down on the ground depressed muttering about being manipulated by his favourite duckling. Kakashi soon sprang back up like nothing had happened and turning a page of his book.
"Very well. If I'm going to be training you two you will do exactly as I say, do I make myself clear?" Kakashi asked. Earning two nods from Haruto and Naruko.
"No problem Kakashi," Naruko said.
"I understand Hatake-san," Haruto said.
"Then welcome to training from hell," Kakashi said laughing evilly. This caused Haruto and Naruko to feel slightly nervous about their decision to ask him for training.
