Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: Battle Against the Eternals (Part One)

Fueled by overwhelming rage, Lucas Reed had no intention of hiding his strength.

His explosive speed whipped up violent air currents as he slammed straight into the two figures locked in combat.

They sensed the killing intent rushing toward them—but never imagined that the attacker's speed would be this terrifying.

The grotesque monster immediately flapped its wings in an attempt to flee. From Lucas's body, it felt an unprecedented aura of death!

But Lucas, fully unleashed, was already moving at several hundred meters per second. There was no way he would let the creature escape.

Boom!

A thunderclap-like explosion echoed across the area, deafeningly loud.

The immense impact—compressed air warped by sheer velocity—struck the monster like a colossal fist.

In that instant, the creature's body bent from an "I" shape into a grotesque "C." Cracks exploded across its skeleton.

If not for its abnormally dense musculature absorbing part of the shock, that blow alone would have pulverized every bone in its body.

"You wrecked my house—you piece of shit"

As Lucas roared in fury, his hand seized the monster mid-flight and yanked it back violently.

Before it could even scream, a knee smashed into its chest.

Lucas then clasped his hands together and brought them down like a warhammer onto the creature's skull.

Bang!

The monster crashed into the ground, blasting out a crater. The reinforced concrete beneath shattered instantly, spiderweb cracks spreading in all directions.

Lucas withdrew his hands and looked down at the creature lying in the pit like a pile of broken flesh.

"Fuck You!"

With a furious curse, he raised his hand and fired a precise energy beam straight through the monster's head.

Still not satisfied, he followed up with seven or eight more beams, piercing its body repeatedly until nothing remained intact.

The scene left the nearby man completely stunned.

When Lucas turned his gaze toward him, the man instinctively went on guard.

"Do you want to die," Lucas asked coldly, "or do you want to live?"

After venting his rage, Lucas felt slightly calmer. And now that he was looking more closely, the man in blue armor seemed vaguely familiar.

"W-who… who are you?" the man asked cautiously.

"I'll ask one last time," Lucas said, eyes brimming with killing intent.

"Die—or live?"

"Live!" the armored man swallowed hard.

Never in his life had he felt such pressure from a human—not even from his own kind.

"You have twelve hours," Lucas said flatly.

"I don't care how you do it. If a new house is not standing here by then, you will die."

"Understood. That's only right."

The man immediately pulled out his phone and made a call.

At that moment, he was infinitely grateful he had listened to Sersi and carried a phone with him.

"Sersi! Bring everyone to Anglais Town—now!" he shouted, then hung up.

He kept his full attention on Lucas. With that kind of speed, a surprise attack would mean instant death.

Soon, figures clad in various strange and ornate armors arrived before Lucas.

"Eternals…?" Lucas narrowed his eyes. 'Ah—I see. The Eternal Ones.'

Their armor—especially the women's—was even more ornate than in the films, and their beauty was striking.

"Hello. My name is Sersi," a woman stepped forward politely.

"May I ask how you know who we are?"

"Whether I know you or not doesn't matter," Lucas said icily.

"Your fight destroyed my home."

"Now you either rebuild it—

or you become part of it."

Following Lucas's gaze, Sersi saw the mutilated Deviant corpse lying in the crater. The sight made all the Eternals tense.

They had fought Deviants for countless ages. Though they usually held the advantage, they knew all too well how powerful those creatures were.

"May I ask your name, sir?" Sersi asked, trying to ease the tension.

Just as Lucas was about to respond—

A strange psychic wave suddenly invaded his mind.

But it was instantly blocked by his ironclad mental will.

The next second, Lucas vanished in a flash and appeared before Druig, his fist already swinging.

Makkari, relying on her extreme speed, barely managed to appear between them and pull Druig away.

Lucas showed no restraint.

Attempting to mentally control him was an unforgivable violation.

His punch carried terrifying force. The other Eternals didn't even have time to react.

Only Makkari, pushing her speed to the absolute limit, managed to save Druig.

Gilgamesh stepped forward, cosmic energy surging around his right fist as he met Lucas head-on.

BOOM!

Their fists collided midair.

A violent shockwave erupted outward, accompanied by a bell-like sonic boom that rattled everyone's senses.

The ground beneath them exploded apart.

Gilgamesh was forced back a step.

Lucas, however, moved forward again immediately.

"Please—stop!" Sersi shouted urgently.

Lucas turned toward her, fury blazing.

"You tried to control my mind," he said coldly.

"If you want a war—I'll give you one."

Boom!

Lucas surged forward once more, this time his fist glowing faintly.

Ikaris's eyes flashed gold. Two beams of energy fired straight at Lucas.

But Lucas had already prepared.

He knew every one of their abilities.

The beams struck him—only to be stopped by an invisible layer of ki, unable to penetrate his body.

In the next instant, Lucas was already in front of Gilgamesh.

Gilgamesh threw another punch—but to Lucas, it was painfully slow.

Lucas ducked easily.

His counterpunch slammed into Gilgamesh's chest, sending him flying several meters away.

Lucas did not pursue.

Instead, he spun and punched straight into empty air.

Suddenly, Makkari's shocked eyes appeared out of nowhere.

Bang!

She was blasted away instantly.

Nearby, Druig attempted to use his mental powers again—only to be struck by a sharp pain in his brain, completely disabling his ability.

From a distance, Elaine watched calmly. Her eyes flickered as she let out a soft snort.

Ikaris rushed in from the air, throwing a heavy punch—but Lucas turned and kicked him away with brutal force.

Suddenly, the environment warped.

Reality twisted into a surreal landscape.

Golden light filled the space, countless streams converging toward Lucas.

Each beam struck him and transformed into a golden ring.

The rings linked together, their energy flowing in unison.

A powerful magnetic field erupted.

Lucas felt himself forced downward as if gravity had multiplied many times over.

His limbs were pulled tight, restrained by immense binding force.

For the first time, Lucas was momentarily immobilized.

At that instant—

A figure clad in white armor appeared before him.

Cosmic energy formed two razor-sharp weapons in her hands.

She swung them down toward Lucas in a lethal arc.
