Chapter 20 - Chapter 24- Visit to tower for inspection

The next day arrived quickly.

Leo had planned to visit his tower for inspection and check if any improvements were required. It would also be his first visit in the past four weeks since acquiring the tower.

Over the last twenty days since hiring Emily as his secretary, Leo had instructed her to purchase ten Rolls-Royce cars using the system's allocated thirty free vehicle slots. All the cars were custom-made, and only five had been delivered so far—secured by paying a premium and leveraging connections through Citibank. The remaining five were expected within the next fifteen days.

As Leo arrived at the hotel gate in the morning, Robert and Emily were already waiting with the cars at the entrance. The moment Leo approached, Robert stepped forward and opened the car door.

"Good morning, boss," he said respectfully.

Emily also greeted him and moved to the other side of the passenger seat. After Leo settled into the back seat, Robert took the front passenger seat.

"Good morning," Leo replied calmly.

Robert then introduced the driver.

"Boss, this is Allen. He's a hand-to-hand combat expert—even I'm not a match for him in close-quarters fighting. He's also highly skilled at driving in any situation. He'll be your personal driver unless you decide otherwise."

Leo nodded. "Good morning, Allen."

"Good morning, boss," Allen replied.

As the car began moving, Leo turned his attention to Emily and Robert.

"Emily, as per the schedule, my duplex in Tower 1 should be ready for move-in within a few days. Make sure everything is checked thoroughly for final touches during this visit. Also, arrange a housewarming event—invite all current staff and anyone hired in the coming days. It will be a good opportunity for introductions."

"Yes, boss," Emily responded concisely, noting everything on her iPad.

Leo then looked at Robert. "What about the remaining guards?"

Robert replied confidently, "I've sent invitations to several of my former comrades from the special forces. If they join, this security team could become one of the strongest in the world."

Leo felt a surge of excitement at the thought. With the system guaranteeing loyalty, such a team would be both powerful and dependable. However, he kept his expression calm.

"Do your best to recruit them," Leo said. "I want the requirements completed within a month. Remember—you're responsible not just for my safety, but for the entire empire, including everyone working in these twin towers."

Robert nodded firmly. "Understood, boss."

As they continued their discussion, they soon arrived at their destination.

Leo stepped out of the car in front of Tower 1 and, along with his team, headed directly to the penthouse. There, he met Sara and Madison.

His gaze briefly lingered on Madison. She was dressed in a sharp black business suit with a short skirt, carrying herself with confidence and elegance.

Emily noticed his gaze. A flicker of jealousy passed through her, though she quickly composed herself. As a professional, she guided the others—along with Sara—to different floors, leaving Leo and Madison alone in the penthouse living room.

When Madison had first met Leo, she had assumed he was simply a rich heir making purchases on behalf of his family. But as she became more involved in the project and observed his decisions, hiring processes, and spending, she realized he was building something of his own—something far greater than she had imagined. That realization both intrigued and unsettled her.

Now, as she stood before him, she sensed the shift in atmosphere.

Leo stepped closer, his presence calm yet commanding.

For the next two hours, they continued the inspection together—reviewing the living room, kitchen, bedrooms, balcony, and bathrooms. Eventually, they reached the master bedroom.

After the inspection was complete, a quiet moment settled between them.

Leo looked at Madison and spoke directly.

"Would you like to be my girlfriend?"

Before she could respond, he continued, his tone steady.

"You should know—you won't be the only one. And you may not be the one I marry in the future. But if you accept, I will take care of you and provide for you for life. However, loyalty is absolute. Once you make this choice, there's no turning back."

Madison studied his face carefully, weighing his words. She had already felt a growing connection with him, and she understood both the benefits and the restrictions that came with such a relationship.

After a brief pause, she nodded.

"Yes."

She gave a small, shy smile and lightly kissed his cheek.

Soon after, they left the penthouse and rejoined the others. Different thoughts ran through the minds of those present.

Emily couldn't hide the hint of jealousy as she saw Madison walking beside Leo, holding his arm. The others, however, were pleased to see their boss with a companion, even if they could guess what had transpired upstairs.

Leo, however, chose not to formally introduce Madison as his girlfriend. Even he wasn't entirely sure what had driven his decision. He knew she wasn't the kind of woman he envisioned marrying, yet he didn't want her to belong to anyone else.

Emily, as his secretary, was already bound by loyalty. Madison, however, was different.

And so, he made his choice.
