"One."

The word hung in the damp air of the warehouse, punctuated by the thud of the first body hitting the concrete.

For a split second, the remaining ten thugs just stared at the unconscious man. His head was caved in, blood pooling rapidly around his ears. They couldn't process it. One moment I was standing by the entrance; the next, I was behind their flank, a steel pipe resting casually on my shoulder.

"Get him!" Dragon Head Ma roared, shaking off his shock. "Kill that freak!"

The warehouse exploded into motion.

Three men nearest to me charged. They were armed with knives and chains. In the old Jin-woo's life, this would have been a death sentence.

But to me? It looked like a slow-motion cutscene.

[System: Combat Logic Active]

[Threat Analysis: Three hostiles, Left (Knife), Center (Chain), Right (Bat)]

[Recommended Action: Break the center]

I didn't retreat. I stepped into the charge.

The man with the chain swung it wild, aiming for my head. A clumsy, amateur strike.

I didn't need Shadow Step.

I just ducked and the chain whistled harmlessly over my hair.

As I came up, I swung the steel pipe in a brutal uppercut arc.

Weapon Mastery (Blunt) guided my hand and Bone Breaker provided the force.

CRUNCH

The pipe connected with the man's jaw.

The sound was sickening, like stepping on a bag of dry leaves. His jaw didn't just break; it shattered. Teeth flew into the air like popcorn. He didn't even scream; his eyes rolled back, and he collapsed, twitching.

"Two," I counted coldely.

The man with the knife hesitated. He saw what just happened. Fear flickered in his eyes.

I didn't give him time to rethink his life choices.

I lunged forward, grabbing his knife-hand with my free hand. My grip, enhanced by Strength: 20, was like a hydraulic press.

I squeezed.

Snap

His wrist bones ground together. He screamed, dropping the knife.

"Shut up," I snarled.

I swung the pipe horizontally, aiming for his knees.

CRAAACK.....

Both patellas shattered instantly. His legs bent backward. He folded like a lawn chair, screaming in agony.

"Three."

I turned to the rest of the group. The warehouse was silent again, save for the gurgling of the first guy and the high-pitched shrieks of the third.

Seven men left, Plus the Boss.

They weren't charging anymore. They were backing up, forming a protective circle around Dragon Head Ma.

"What the hell are you?" Ma growled, pulling a massive combat knife from his belt. "You're just a college kid!"

"I'm a business owner," I said, spinning the pipe in my hand. It was slick with blood now. "And you guys are bad for business."

I looked up at the single hanging lightbulb that illuminated the center of the warehouse.

"System," I thought. "Turn on Night Vision."

[System: Night Vision Active. World rendering in monochromatic green.

Let's turn out the lights, shall we?]

I reared back and hurled the steel pipe.

It flew through the air like a javelin.

POP

The lightbulb shattered.

The warehouse plunged into absolute, pitch darkness.

"Fuck! I can't see!""Where is he?!"

"Back to back! Stay back to back!"

Panic, Pure, unadulterated panic.

To them, it was an abyss. To me, it was a playground. The world was sharp, clear, and green. I could see the heat signatures of their fear. I could see them trembling.

"Find me," I whispered from the shadows.

I activated Shadow Step.

I warped across the room, appearing directly behind a thug holding a baseball bat.

I didn't have my pipe anymore. I didn't need it.

I grabbed the back of his head and slammed his face into a shipping container.

THUD

He dropped.

"Four."

"Over there!" someone shouted, swinging a machete blindly into the dark.

I was already gone.

I appeared next to another one. I kicked his knee out from the side. It snapped with a wet pop. As he fell, I drove my elbow into his temple.

Sleep tight.

"Five."

It was a massacre. I was a ghost in the machine. I moved from shadow to shadow, dismantling them piece by piece. I broke arms, shattered ribs, and dislocated shoulders. I wasn't killing them, that would bring too much heat but I was ensuring they would never walk straight again.

[System: Lust Points +50... +50... +50.

Host, your sadism is showing,You're enjoying the sound of breaking bones a little too much, Are you sure you don't want to fuck one of them? Just kidding. Please don't.]

"Six. Seven. Eight. Nine. Ten."

Finally, silence returned to the warehouse.

Only heavy breathing remained.

And one standing heat signature.

Dragon Head Ma.

I walked toward him. I made sure my footsteps were loud, echoing on the concrete.

Ma was swinging his combat knife wildly in front of him, sweating profusely.

"Come out!" he roared, his voice cracking. "Come out and fight me like a man, you coward!"

"I'm right here," I said.

He spun around, slashing the knife toward my voice.

I stood five feet away.

"Turn on the lights, Ma. Oh wait. I broke them."

Ma fumbled in his pocket and pulled out a lighter. He flicked it. A tiny, flickering flame illuminated his terrified face... and me, standing right in front of him, covered in his men's blood, smiling like a demon.

"You..." He lunged. It was a desperate, powerful thrust aimed at my gut.

I didn't dodge.

I wanted to test something.

[System: Skill [Steel Skin] Activated. Cost: 800 Points (Previously Paid). Duration: 5 Seconds.]

My skin turned a metallic grey hue, imperceptible in the dim light.

The knife tip hit my stomach.

CLINK

It sounded like metal striking an anvil. The blade didn't pierce; it skidded off my abs, tearing my shirt but leaving the skin unharmed.

Ma froze. He looked at the knife, then at my stomach.

"Monster..." he whispered.

"My turn."

The [Steel Skin] faded.

I stepped in. I grabbed his wrist, the one holding the knife.

Bone Breakerb active.

I crushed it.

"ARGH!" He dropped the knife.

I didn't stop. I grabbed him by the throat and lifted him. With Strength: 20, lifting a 200lb man was difficult, but possible. I slammed him back against a stack of crates.

He gasped, clawing at my hand, his legs kicking uselessly.

"You sent a photographer to stalk me," I said calmly, tightening my grip. "You threatened my aunt. You invited me here to kill me."

I leaned in close.

"Give me one reason why I shouldn't snap your neck right now and take over your little gang myself."

Ma's face was turning purple. He choked out words.

"M-money... I have... money..."

"I can take your money after you're dead," I countered. "Try again."

"Info..." he wheezed. "The... the client..."

I loosened my grip slightly, letting him draw a ragged breath.

"Client?" I asked. "You mean someone hired you? I thought you were just loan sharks collecting a debt."

"The debt... was real," Ma gasped, clutching his broken wrist. "But... the hit... on you... was ordered. Someone... wanted you crippled. Humiliated. Photos of you... begging."

"Who?"

"I don't... know... a name," Ma stammered. "Encrypted... dark web... paid in crypto. But... the message... it mentioned... The Inheritance'

My eyes narrowed.

The Inheritance.

That meant family.

Seo-yoon? No, she wanted to control me, not cripple me. If I was crippled, I'd be a burden she couldn't get rid of.

Ji-soo? She was icy, but she wasn't a gangster.

Min-ah? A brat, but harmless.

That left... extended family. Or rivals of the Han Group.

Or maybe my father had enemies I didn't know about.

"Interesting," I murmured.

I looked at Ma.

[Target: Dragon Head Ma]

[Status: Broken / Terrified.]

[Favorability: -100% (Fear).]

[Submission Level: 80%.]

"I'm not going to kill you, Ma," I said, releasing his throat.

He slid to the floor, coughing violently, massaging his bruised neck.

"But," I continued, looming over him. "From tonight on, the Golden Dragon Gang works for me."

Ma looked up, eyes wide. "What?"

"You heard me. You keep your territory. You keep your little drug deals or whatever trash you peddle. I don't care."

I crouched down, grabbing his chin and forcing him to look at me.

"But 'Golden Hands' Therapy? It's under your protection. If a single hair on Aunt Ji-hye's head is touched... if a single brick is thrown through that window... I will come back. And next time, I won't use a pipe. I'll peel your skin off slowly. Do you understand?"

Ma nodded frantically. "Yes! Yes! Understood! Protected!"

"And one more thing," I said, standing up and wiping my hands on my jeans. "You owe me a debt now. For letting you live. Five hundred million won. Consider it a 'consultation fee' for the ass-kicking I just gave you."

"Five... five hundred..." Ma looked like he wanted to cry. That was a massive sum.

"Do you have a problem with the pricing?" I raised an eyebrow.

"No! No! I'll pay! I'll get it!"

"Good. Wire it to this account by tomorrow morning." I tossed a card with a crypto wallet address on it (courtesy of the System's inventory) onto his chest.

I turned to leave.

The warehouse was filled with groans of pain. Ten men, all broken.

I walked to the exit, stepping over the first guy I had knocked out.

"System," I thought. "How was that?"

[System: Combat Rating: S.

Host, you are a natural born thug. I'm oddly aroused. Is that weird? Don't answer.

Loot: 500 Million Won (Pending).

Reputation: The Shadow of the Docks (Gangsters will fear you)]

I walked out into the cool night air. The adrenaline was fading, replaced by the deep ache of muscle fatigue. My stamina bar was back down to 30%. Shadow Step and Steel Skin were expensive skills.

But I felt good.

I had secured my base. I had secured funding. And I had neutralized a threat.

But the "Client" mentioned by Ma bothered me.

Someone was targeting me specifically because of the Inheritance.

I needed to be stronger. I needed more influence.

And I needed to break Seo-yoon completely, so I had the resources of the Han family at my full disposal.

My phone buzzed.

It was Aunt Ji-hye.

Text: "Jin-woo! Are you okay? You've been gone for hours! Mrs. Kim called. She wants to bring her daughter in tomorrow. Apparently, the girl is stressed about exams."

I smiled.

Mrs. Kim's daughter.

Another potential target. Another source of points.

Text: "I'm fine, Auntie. Just finalizing the security contract. Tell Mrs. Kim we have a slot open at 4 PM."

I put the phone away and hailed a taxi.

I was going home. And I had a feeling tonight was going to be restless.

The Han Estate - 2:00 AM

I slipped back into the house the same way I left, through the trellis.

With my stamina low, it was a struggle, but I made it.

I collapsed onto my bed, not bothering to shower. I reeked of blood and sweat, but I was too tired to care.

[System: Warning. Someone is in the room]

My eyes snapped open.

I sat up, activating Night Vision.

Sitting in the armchair in the corner of my room, legs crossed, was Seo-yoon.

She was wearing a silk nightgown, a glass of wine in her hand. The room was dark, but to my green-tinted vision, she was clear as day.

"You're late," she said softly.

"I seem to be hearing that a lot lately," I replied, suppressing a groan as my bruised muscles protested. "What are you doing in my room, Mother? Checking if I escaped?"

"I know you escaped," she said, taking a sip of wine. "The sensors on the perimeter wall tripped four hours ago. I disabled the alarm before the guards noticed."

I paused.

She covered for me?

"Why?" I asked, swinging my legs off the bed.

"Because," she stood up, walking toward me. The moonlight from the window caught the silk of her gown, outlining her figure. "I needed to know where you went."

She stopped a foot away from me. She wrinkled her nose.

"You smell like blood," she whispered. "And rust. Not massage oil."

"I have diverse hobbies," I said, leaning back on my hands. "Did you come here to lecture me?"

"No."

She placed her wine glass on the nightstand.

She looked at me. Her face was a mask of conflict. The Eye of Discernment showed her stats fluctuating wildly.

[Target: Seo-yoon]

[Lust: 92% (Fueled by the Dream memory and alcohol).]

[Fear: 50% (You smell dangerous)]

[Intent: Submission]

"I came here," she said, her voice trembling slightly, "because I can't sleep. Every time I close my eyes... I see you. I feel you."

She reached out, her cool hand touching my bruised chest. She traced a smear of dried blood on my collarbone.

"What did you do to me, Jin-woo?" she whispered. "What kind of monster are you?"

"The kind you need," I answered.

I reached out and grabbed her waist, pulling her between my legs.

She didn't resist. She gasped, her hands resting on my shoulders.

"You're dangerous," she murmured, looking into my eyes. "You're going to destroy this family."

"I'm going to save it," I corrected. "By making it mine."

I kissed her.

It wasn't like the dream. This was real. Her lips were soft, tasting of expensive red wine. She hesitated for a split second, her rigid control trying to hold on, and then she broke.

She kissed me back. Desperately. Hungry.

She ground her hips against mine, the silk of her gown sliding against my jeans.

"Take it off," I commanded, pulling back.

Seo-yoon looked at me, breathing hard. The Empress of the Han Group, the woman who terrified the board of directors, looked like a lovestruck teenager.

Slowly, she reached for the straps of her nightgown.

The silk slid down, pooling at her feet.

She stood before me, naked, pale, and perfect.

"Are you happy?" she asked, her voice thick with shame and arousal.

"Not yet," I said, unbuttoning my jeans. "But we have a few hours before the sun comes up."

I pulled her onto the bed, tonight was not just victory, It was a conquest.
