A lavish banquet unfolded in the castle, each person harboring their own thoughts. Everyone at the banquet spoke in hushed tones, their minds wandering, but the central topic of conversation was undoubtedly Grimm, who had just been promoted to knight's apprentice.
The entire banquet hall was lavishly decorated, and the glow of the candles illuminated the entire space. The flickering flames made even the shadows of the attendees seem to dance in the air.
The chefs' meticulously prepared food exuded a fragrant aroma. A tower of champagne glasses, piled high with countless stemmed glasses, was filled with vibrant red wine, creating an atmosphere of tension.
Ashville, Lyra, and Mia's mother quietly pulled them aside and whispered instructions, hoping they could get closer to Green at the dinner party and leave a good impression on him.
"Green is here"
Someone in the banquet hall shouted something, and everyone stood up and looked towards the entrance of the banquet hall in the direction of the sound.
Wearing a tailcoat, Green entered the banquet hall with a smile. After nodding to everyone, he said, "Welcome everyone to my celebration of my successful promotion. I am very happy to receive your attention, and I would also like to thank the Baron for his support of this banquet."
After saying this, Green raised a glass of red wine and faced everyone.
"cheers"
The crowd realized what was happening and quickly grabbed their glasses of red wine. Seeing that the situation was more or less settled, Green downed his glass of red wine in one gulp. The others followed suit.
"The dinner is now officially beginning. Please enjoy the food and music."
At Green's signal, the orchestra began playing lively music. The atmosphere returned to its usual cheerful cadence. Everyone's attention shifted back to the banquet itself.
"Brother Green, would you like to dance with me?" As soon as Green put down his wine glass, Ashville came up to him.
Green turned to look at the source of the voice, where Asiville was smiling at him. The girl wore a sky-blue dress, the hem of which was just above her knees. Combined with her ample bosom, she proudly displayed her full breasts and snow-white thighs as Green looked at him. Coupled with her youthful voice, Asiville's charm was captivating.
Asheville, seeing Green drawn to him, felt a surge of joy within. He immediately decided to take further action.
"Brother Green, please!" Asciville went straight up to Green and took Green's hand into his arms.
"Hiss," Green suddenly felt that dealing with the battle was probably simpler than dealing with the current situation.
Seeing Ashville's unique outfit and their intimate gestures, Green did not object.
"Of course, please." Green extended a hand and smiled at Ashville.
Upon seeing Green agree, Ashville was overjoyed and quickly placed his hand on Green's. He then proactively placed Green's other hand on his waist.
After the dance ended, Green quickly released Ashville.
[This little devil] Green had to admit that Asyl was really good at it. During the dance, she kept teasing Green, and her body often rubbed against Green's body. If he hadn't already broken through to the Knight Apprentice level and could control his muscles and emotions, Green was afraid that he would lose control.
Green also lacked experience in handling such situations, and once the dancing started, the rhythm was completely controlled by Asheville. Fortunately, the chip was there; through its abilities, Green regained control in the later stages, preventing himself from being in such an awkward position.
Green felt that this dance was more tiring than when he was dealing with Sek.
Just as Green was about to rest after lowering his hand from Ashville's waist, Lyra and Mia came up to him again.
Even before Ashville made his move, Lyra and Mia, who had been keeping a close eye on Green, regretted that they had acted too late.
"She beat us to it, how awful." The two who had fallen behind could only watch as Asciville and Green finished their dance.
Looking at the other girls around them who were eyeing him covetously, Leila and Mia also felt a headache. As Green's potential materialized, more and more people were paying attention to him.
As more and more girls gathered around Green, he began to think of ways to escape the situation.
"Young Master Green, the Baron invites you to meet him." Basel, the castle's butler, appeared beside Green at some point and spoke respectfully to him.
Green, who was just looking for an excuse to leave, immediately replied, "Basel, take me to see the Baron!"
The girls at the event wore mournful expressions as Green was called away by the butler, Basel. Only Asviel was different. As the only one at the entire banquet to have danced with Green, she was far ahead of the other girls. With a triumphant look in her eyes, Asviel swept her gaze over the other girls, a victorious smile spreading across her face.
Led by Basel, Green arrived at the top floor of the castle, at the Baron's private room.
Basel stopped in front of a heavy door and said respectfully, "Young Master Green, the Baron is waiting for you in his room." He then pushed open the door and stood aside.
Green glanced at Basel and walked straight into the Baron's room.
Green's first impression of the Baron's room was its simplicity. There weren't many ornate decorations. A few rows of bookshelves and a desk were placed on either side. Directly in front of the door was a large Cloth family crest. Apart from that, there were only two chairs and a table in the center.
The master of this territory, Baron Clod, sat in his chair, while Captain Oss, the captain of the guards, stood beside him like a statue. Oss's explosive muscles displayed the power contained within his body. Baron Clod's physique, however, was not as exaggerated as Captain Oss's. Instead, he had a more balanced build, similar to Captain America.
Upon seeing Green enter, he pointed to another chair, indicating that Green should sit down.
Green didn't stand on ceremony and simply sat down in the chair.
[Chip, perform visual analysis.] Green issued the command, and instantly, a torrent of data began refreshing in Green's field of vision. Having advanced to become a Knight Apprentice, Green's body underwent changes. The chip's detection capabilities also began to improve; these capabilities were based on Green's own perception, as well as some unique, built-in detection methods.
The current Green can detect people using vision, unlike the old Green who needed to collect a lot of data to develop a model.
[Chloe Ian]
[Strength: 2.5~2.7]
[Speed: 2.4~2.8]
[Body Condition: 2.4~2.6]
[Os]
[Strength: 3.0~3.2]
[Speed: 1.7~1.9]
[Body Condition: 2.6~2.8]
Looking at the approximate data detected by the chip and comparing it to his own, Green discovered that their data were actually quite similar. Sir Cloran, like Green, favored all-around combat, while Captain Oss, the guard captain, was a strength-based warrior, more inclined towards head-on confrontations.
[It seems the 30-minute physical enhancement has indeed reached its limit. Even these veteran knights can't easily overpower me in terms of attributes. If we were to engage in a head-on encounter, I might be able to easily crush them with my superior archery skills.] Green secretly made his assessment.
"Green, would you be willing to serve as the castle instructor, in charge of all matters related to the training grounds?" Baron Crow extended an invitation to Green as soon as he sat down.
Looking at Baron Crowe's smiling face, Green fell into deep thought.
"baron..."
Green told the Baron directly about the attack he had been subjected to and gave a reason.
"Your Excellency, this attack has made me realize that the environment may not be safe. My strength is not yet sufficient, and I need to improve it as quickly as possible to avoid another life-or-death crisis. Therefore, I will devote myself fully to training for the next period of time. Serving as a castle instructor would distract me, so please forgive me for not being able to accept this position," Green replied firmly.
"In that case, Green, you should focus all your energy on training! If you're willing, come find me anytime, and I'll give you a suitable position." Baron Crowe saw the determination and fear in Green's eyes and didn't try to persuade him further.
"Thank you for your kindness, Baron. I will definitely come to ask for a position when I feel that my strength is sufficient," Green said with gratitude in his eyes.
After chatting idly with the Baron about some things concerning the castle, Green bid farewell to the Baron and left the room.
After watching Green leave the room, Captain Oss, the guard captain, no longer stood like a wooden statue, but sat casually in the chair where Green had been sitting.
"Old Green's adopted son is no ordinary man. He didn't show any fear when facing the two of us official knights," Os said with admiration.
"That's really impressive. I've fully released the life seed's breath, and he hasn't reacted at all." The Baron was also amazed by Green's performance.
"But is it really because of the attack that he is unwilling to accept the position of instructor?"
Baron Kro did not answer Os directly, but instead said, "Anyway, Old Green is here, and Green will not leave the territory! The Kingdom of Saladin is very likely to invade our territory, and Green is also a very strong fighter. Don't worry about these small problems."
Hearing Lord Cloland's words, Os agreed and stopped asking questions.
On the other hand, Green, after leaving the room, naturally knew about Baron Crowe's attempts to win him over.
However, Green will stay here entirely because of the presence of the old Green; the others don't have such a deep bond with Green.
As for the so-called oppression of the life seed, Green's nature was extremely powerful, and he did not feel any such oppression at all.
If it weren't for the chip indicating some kind of energy resonance, Green wouldn't even have been able to detect the pressure that Baron and Os were exerting on him.
[Too much strength isn't good either; these subtle sensations are becoming dulled.] Green Versailles thought.
Green didn't return to the banquet hall; instead, he went straight back to his room. Too much had happened today, and Green felt he needed a good rest.
