"WhWhat? They are actually Saiyans?" Moori and Stan exclaimed in shock. They immediately adopted a posture of extreme vigilance. Although their people rarely traveled through the universe, they knew the nature and conduct of the Saiyan race all too well.
Old Kami was completely bewildered, unable to understand why Moori and Stan had suddenly changed their attitude. Looking at the two, he saw not only vigilance but a hint of hostility. At the same time, he was curious about what kind of race these Saiyans were.
Qin Yan watched the scene unfold calmly, remaining silent as he quietly observed the Grand Elder to see how he would react.
"Haha! There is no need for such tension. I sense no evil aura from these two young friends," the Grand Elder said, his aged face twitching slightly. His voice was ancient, slow, and deep, as if time itself flowed between his words. "They will not harm us. If they truly intended us ill, they wouldn't have waited until now. Put away your hostility, Moori, Stan."
As Qin Yan expected, the Grand Elder did not harbor any prejudice just because they were Saiyans.
"Yes! Grand Elder!" Hearing his words, Moori and Stan slowly composed themselves. The looks they directed at Qin Yan and the girl were no longer tense or hostile. They trusted the Grand Elder implicitly, as his ability to sense evil had always been incredibly accurate. If he said there was no problem, then there was no problem.
"I wonder, young friend Qin Yan, what business brings you to me?" the Grand Elder asked warmly, his eyelids trembling slightly. From Qin Yan's earlier words, he knew the young man had come specifically for him.
"I do indeed have a request. I have heard that the Grand Elder of Namek is profoundly knowledgeable and a lover of peace, and seeing you today confirms those rumors.
It is said that you possess many supernatural powers and are particularly skilled at drawing out the hidden potential within the human body.
We have come to ask for your help in triggering our hidden potential. I hope you will grant us this favor," Qin Yan said, his voice crisp and clear, echoing through the room as he stated his purpose.
In the original Dragon Ball world, there were roughly three methods shown to unlock the hidden potential within a person.
The first was the Ultra Divine Water found atop Korin Tower. It was owned by Master Korin and Kami, kept under the guard of the darkness in a subterranean cave. The Ultra Divine Water was different from the Sacred Water kept on Master Korin's staff; the Sacred Water was just ordinary water,
but the Ultra Divine Water lived up to its name, possessing unpredictable divine power. It could trigger a user's potential and greatly increase their Power Level. However, all medicine is part poison, and the Ultra Divine Water was highly toxic.
Anyone who drank it had to possess a willpower, vitality, and mental strength far beyond ordinary people, or they would be killed by the poison. Even then, if a person had no latent power, they wouldn't change even if they survived.
Goku had swallowed the Ultra Divine Water as a child to defeat Demon King Piccolo. After surviving, his strength increased immensely, allowing him to win.
However, Master Korin had noted that Goku could have defeated Demon King Piccolo anyway with a few more years of training. Some even suspected that Goku's later heart disease might have been linked to the toxic water.
Using the Ultra Divine Water was a crude and violent method with a success rate so low that no one would be foolish enough to drink it unless they were in a desperate situation.
The second method was the supernatural ability of the Namekian Grand Elder. Compared to the toxic water, the Grand Elder's ability was easily the safest, fastest, and most effective way to increase Power Level in the entire Dragon Ball world.
Because it simply guided out the potential that already existed but was hidden within the body, it caused no harm to the person involved nor did it shorten their lifespan. This method did not overdraw potential for a temporary boost; it didn't hinder the person's future growth at all.
Therefore, this method was essentially free of safety concerns. It did, however, require the recipient to have a certain level of physical toughness to withstand the sudden explosion of power.
That said, the Grand Elder's ability had its limits. He could only draw out a portion of the hidden power. If a person's potential was truly immense, he couldn't guide it all out. This was the case with Gohan during the Namek Saga; Gohan's potential was so massive that the Grand Elder could only tap into a fraction of it.
In the original story, Krillin and Gohan had Power Levels of only two or three thousand before the Grand Elder unlocked their potential. Afterward, Krillin's Power Level soared to over 10,000, several times his original strength. Gohan's increase was even more terrifying, reaching nearly 20,000almost a ten-fold increase.
The final method involved the Old Kai on the Sacred World of the Kai. He possessed a powerful supernatural ability that could draw out a person's potential far beyond normal limits.
Proficient in various types of magic, the Old Kai once empowered Gohan during the Majin Buu Saga to a level that surpassed all limits, causing his Power Level to skyrocket into the hundreds of billions. It was truly terrifying.
The Old Kai's method was more like breaking the shackles of life, pushing a body's potential to its absolute maximum. Since he was a Kai who governed the creation of life, his method left no hidden side effects.
While all three methods could draw out latent power, they were fundamentally different. Without a doubt, the Old Kai's method was the most powerful and superior.
Naturally, Qin Yan preferred the Old Kai's ability, but he had no idea where the Sacred World of the Kai was located. Unable to reach it, he had settled for the next best thing: coming to Namek to find the Grand Elder.
Furthermore, the Old Kai was a top-tier deity of the universe; he wouldn't just unlock someone's potential for no reason. For now, seeking out the Old Kai was out of the question.

"Grand Elder..." Moori and Stan said from the side, looking at him with concern. They were worried that using his supernatural powers would consume his strength and affect his remaining life.
"It is quite alright! Do not worry for me. Unlocking potential will not have any negative impact on me," the Grand Elder said gently.
"Then I thank the Grand Elder. Since that is the case, if Namek ever falls into crisis in the future, I will step in to help," Qin Yan said, his face brightening with joy. He was very grateful and immediately promised to assist Namek if they ever encountered trouble.
"Think nothing of it. If this allows me to make friends with you, I am already satisfied," the Grand Elder said with a joyful smile. He knew his goal had been reached. He had agreed to help Qin Yan for the sake of Namek's future. He could sense that Qin Yan and Liya were no ordinary people; both possessed powerful forces. If they could befriend them, it would be a blessing for Namek.
With that, the two sides reached a friendly agreement.
"Who will go first?" the Grand Elder asked kindly.
"Liya! You go first!" Qin Yan said to the little girl beside him.
"Okay, Brother Qin Yan!" Little Liya nodded obediently.
"Then, little one, could you come over here for a moment?" Once decided, the Grand Elder raised his left hand and pointed to a spot beside him. His voice was warm and affectionate as he signaled for Liya to approach.
Liya was slightly taken aback, unsure of what was about to happen. she turned to look at Qin Yan, seeking his approval. After Qin Yan gave her a nod, she walked toward the Grand Elder with peace of mind.
The Grand Elder then reached out his arm and placed his broad palm gently on Liya's head. His large hand completely covered her small head. Liya looked up curiously, wondering what the Grand Elder was going to do next.
"Hmm?" A look of surprise suddenly crossed the Grand Elder's face, and he fell into a quiet contemplation. "There is a massive amount of potential hidden within her body. I can only guide out a part of it."
With that, the Grand Elder calmed his heart. His brow furrowed slightly as he began to channel magic through his arm, starting the process of unlocking Liya's potential.
Buzz! Beep!
Swoosh!!
A brilliant white aura erupted from Liya's body.
Qin Yan could feel Liya's breath surging instantly as her powerful presence began to climb higher and higher, level by level.
