They managed to kill many. Kikom rode his beasts into battle and beheaded a great number of them. Anem used her wails to shatter their minds, and Czen turned the battlefield into a lake of blood with his rituals.
However, the refuge fell.
They were forced to flee for months, until the Dragon King achieved his goal: In a cruel and bloody battle, little Arles was… killed in the Valley of Dry Bones. Czen was kidnapped, and only Kikom and Anem were confirmed to be alive.
The Valley where thousands of dragons rest, the largest and loneliest in the world, became the epicenter of a battle that would last more than 40 years.
The energy in that place was so lifeless that even the most powerful magic felt heavy and barren. There, Kikom and Anem spent the last decades of their lives.
