Chapter 1 - Chapter 1.1: The Ope Ope no Mi (Operation Fruit)

"Little Luo, the Spirit Master from the Spirit Hall has just arrived in the village. Hurry to the Spirit Hall in the village so the Spirit Master can help you awaken your Spirits!"

An aged voice rang out in the courtyard, then hurriedly left to inform the other children in Holy Soul Village.

Hearing the voice, Luo shouted from inside the house, "I know, Grandpa Jack, I'll be right out!"

A quarter of an hour later, a handsome boy with black hair and eyes, red lips and white teeth, and a rather slender figure emerged from the house unhurriedly. In

his previous life, Luo was a foolish college student who, on his way home after picking up a newly arrived Ope Ope no Mi figurine, unfortunately encountered a stroke of luck and, upon opening his eyes, found himself transmigrated to the Douluo Continent world.

The owner of this body was an orphan, found by Village Chief Jack of Holy Soul Village during a business trip in Notting City.

When Village Chief Jack found Luo, Luo's small body was wrapped in a blanket.

There were no other items in the bedding, only a small note with the character "Luo" scrawled crookedly in blood.

Village Chief Jack guessed that "Luo" was the original owner's surname. So he didn't give him any other name and just called him "Luo."

From then on, Luo became Village Chief Jack's adopted grandson, living together in Holy Soul Village.

When Luo arrived at the Spirit Hall in the center of the village, all the children who needed to awaken their spirits were already there.

The "Spirit Hall" was really just a small, uninhabited wooden hut.

However, Village Chief Jack would go in and clean it every day, so the hut was quite tidy.

A young man dressed in the uniform of a Spirit Hall deacon stood confidently and calmly in the center of the small wooden house, his hands behind his back.

Before him was a six-pointed star array formed by six black stones, and a pale blue crystal ball sat on the table.

"Little Luo, I remember I was the first to notify you. Why are you so late?"

Pulling the belated Luo to the back of the children's line, Village Chief Jack gently stroked Luo's hair and gave him a light scolding.

Before Luo could even defend himself, Village Chief Jack walked straight to Su Yuntao, bowed deeply, and requested that he awaken the spirits of the nine children of Holy Soul Village.

Su Yuntao nodded calmly, saying nothing, but suddenly performed spirit possession.

  "Lone Wolf Spirit, Possession!"

Transformed into a "werewolf," Su Yuntao, to the children's astonishment, gestured for the child at the front of the line to stand in the center of the six-pointed star array.

"Don't be afraid, close your eyes and feel it with your heart." Su Yuntao channeled his soul power into the six-pointed star array, and soon the first child's martial soul appeared.

"Martial Soul: Agricultural Sickle, generally... Now go and put your hand on the crystal ball." Su Yuntao said expressionlessly, "Without innate soul power, you cannot become a Soul Master! Next!"

Then, one child after another awakened their martial souls, all of them the most common useless martial souls, and none of them had innate soul power.

Luo stood at the very back of all the children, watching the scene of these children awakening their martial souls with great interest.

Although he didn't know what kind of martial soul he would awaken next, he was certain that he would have innate soul power, enough to make him a Soul Master.

The reason Luo was late was because when Village Chief Jack called him, he was diligently cultivating in his room.

Although he didn't know the exact level of his innate soul power, Luo did feel a certain special energy within his body.

Luo guessed that this special energy must be the soul power used by Soul Masters on the Douluo Continent.

Otherwise, Luo wouldn't be able to use the power of the Ope Ope no Mi to absorb the surrounding spiritual energy for cultivation.

Two and a half years ago, one day, Luo was imitating Trafalgar Law from One Piece in his room, reaching out and shouting "ROOM!" when a pale blue, round, transparent sphere of light actually appeared in his palm.

At the same time, Luo also felt the awakened innate soul power within his body for the first time.

However, at that time, Luo's innate soul power was still very weak, only enough to support him using the Ope Ope no Mi's power once. Fortunately,

thanks to the powerful control over the Ope Ope no Mi, Luo could gather all the spiritual energy in the "ROOM" space at once and absorb it into his body for cultivation.

After cultivating like this for two and a half years, Luo's soul power can now support him using the Ope Ope no Mi's power approximately fourteen times.

The spherical "ROOM" space that comes with the Ope Ope no Mi has also grown from its initial radius of about one meter to its current radius of nearly fourteen meters.

At this moment, Tang San, who was ahead of Luo, had completed his spirit awakening, and unsurprisingly, it was the Blue Silver Grass spirit with innate full spirit power.

When Luo was called up by Su Yuntao, he just brushed past Tang San as he came down.

Luo glanced at the somewhat malnourished Tang San beside him and quickly stood in the center of the six-pointed star formation.

His sharp eyes had actually seen Tang San holding the Clear Sky Hammer spirit in his other hand during his spirit awakening.

He just hadn't shouted it out in public.

After all, even if he revealed Tang San's secret of "twin spirits" in public, he wouldn't gain any benefit; instead, he would only cause trouble.

It was better to pretend to be an ostrich and know nothing.

Actually, Luo had considered secretly reporting Tang Hao's existence to the Spirit Hall before.

However, after careful consideration, Luo abandoned this risky plan.

Better to avoid trouble than to cause it.

  Don't court death.

He didn't want to see the battle that broke out during the Spirit Hall's pursuit of Tang Hao affect him or the others in Holy Soul Village. Village

Chief Jack had taken care of him all these years, treating him like his own grandson, and Luo respected Grandpa Jack quite a bit.

Of course, Luo didn't want Village Chief Jack to suffer any danger because of his willful actions.

For Village Chief Jack, who was already over sixty, living a peaceful life until his death would be a good life.

Moreover, Luo knew that Tang San's mother—A Yin's—100,000-year soul bone and original body were hidden by Tang Hao in a very tall waterfall in the mountains near Holy Soul Village.

After learning of Tang Hao and his son's existence, Luo had already included A Yin's 100,000-year soul bone in his future goals.

He didn't want to lose the opportunity to obtain A Yin's 100,000-year soul bone due to any unforeseen circumstances.
