Viola instinctively stepped back away from him the moment she saw the menacing look on his face, fear striking straight into her heart. But the second she tried to retreat, he began advancing toward her slowly, like a predator stalking its prey, and her throat went dry, her eyes darting frantically for any means of escape as she belatedly realized this wasn't her husband anymore, that this man might genuinely hurt her, worse, might hurt their unborn child.
