Sebastian ignored his friend and instead narrowed his eyes on the girl, who had unhooked her bow from her waist, grabbed two arrows from her quiver, fit them onto the bow, and raised it toward the black howlers running at full speed toward the walls, targeting the creatures.
She fired the two arrows at once. Sebastian's eyes locked on them until one struck a creature on the side and the other arrow hit the ground next to the black howler. The one that was hit cried out and slowed, but the arrow didn't stop it from running towards her; it only angered the creature further and made it growl.
Black howlers were known to be highly intelligent, and they immediately understood what she was trying to do. They began to run not in a straight line, but in zigzags, deliberately changing directions to confuse her next shot.
Sebastian noticed how she couldn't keep up with their zigzag movements and kept missing her shots, each arrow striking the ground instead of the creatures flesh.
