Chapter 14 - Volume 2: Start

Alex was walking around the city, enjoying the food and culture of a coastal city that is completely different from a Shore Region city. The buildings here weren't skyscrapers. The highest building was just three-story tall.

Alex could understand why. With all the ships landing and taking of thorough out the city, having a skyscraper would be stupid. And there where many airports. Indicating the flourishing business of transport.

The Wark city was bigger than Am city. With natural trees growing in the city and also out side as Alex saw greenery from above. Unlike artificially planted ones in Am city. The mountain full of greenery. Sea birds flocking in the in droves. And occasional breeze the smelled salty.

The food here was mostly sea food. And Alex got to see and experience many different types of sea food. And finally, the alien taste he had been craving, he found it.

Alex was in a sea food restaurant, he had ordered Gahorker Fish. A black colour fish with no scales. The skin was shiny.

Alex took a bite... and it did not taste good. It chewed like normal fish but...

'What the hell should I even compare this to?'

Alex was baffled. The locals called it delicacy but he couldn't understand why.

"Welp. If I could relate the taste then it won't be alien taste in the first place. Lol"

Alex murmured to himself. Despite not liking it. He finished the whole thing. He doesn't like wasting food. After he was done, Alex walked out of the restaurant.

The moment he did the murmured of the pedestrians hit his ears like someone abruptly started an audio. Gentle breeze of the ocean brushing past his face. Alex walked forward and reached the railing. He saw the city below. Lights of the houses and moonlight reflecting from the ocean took his breath away.

Alex was on a cliff side of the city. There were many such places that gave breath taking view of the city and ocean. But Alex did not linger for too long.

He had a flight to catch at 9 tonight. It was 6:54. There was time, but he likes to arrive early.

Alex then made his way towards the hill right next to the cliff. He took a taxi and it flew him at the top of the hill.

The hill was where his flight would take off. He quickly arrived infront of the Airport and it was very crowded.

Wark International Airport.

People going in and out of the airport, announcement ringing, murmurings of people and sound of ships taking off made this place feel busier then it was.

Alex took out his ticket from his pocket. It looked like a golden, shiny slip. There was literally nothing written on it.

Alex was confused when he first received the ticket from the old man and had thought he was joking. He he was not. Preganos just said to show the ticket to a guard and the staff of the airport will take care of the rest.

And he did, the guards eyes widened in recognition.

"Please wait, Estimated Sir. Let me call your escort for you. He will be escorting you from there on."

And with that, the guard bowed and hurried inside. Not even a minute passed and the guard returned with a man in tuxedo. He wore glasses and a business smile.

"Welcome Estimated Sir, My name is Bari Oz. Are you Sir Alexander Pluto mentioned by Mayor Am?"

The man bowed slightly and asked politely. Alex nodded.

"Please follow me sir. I will lead you to the VVIP ship."

"I don't have to go through paper works?"

"That golden slip has all the data necessary thus no paperwork required. It was scanned when you stepped through the get. And since no security alarm was triggered, it means everything is alright."

Bari explained with a smile. Alex nodded. It was truly fascinating the how much influence can effect one's treatment and standing in society. Just a plane ticket and he already became some big shot in the onlookers eyes. Even though he wore simple clothes.

Alex and Bari walked through the airport hallway, glass windows showing the ships taking off and landing as they walked. There was no people. Because normal people weren't allowed in this part.

Bari effortlessly lead small talks and Alex responded with polite response. He also asked questions he wanted to know answers of.

They quickly reached near a ship. It was small. But exquisitely designed with intricate patterns. Bari lead him to the shop and saw two girls being lead by another staff.

Alex narrowed his eyes because the girls seemed familiar. Probably some cannon characters.

Alex stepped in the deck. The group of girls also stepped in. Bari asked for Alex's ticket. He handed it to him. Bari fixed his glasses as he looked at it then smiled at Alex and told him to follow.

The interior of the ship seemed bigger and more luxurious looking then any hotel or ship he has seen for far.

"The inside is expanded thorough Space Expansion Formation. So there are more room despite the small size of the ship- room-426-A. This will be your assigned room Sir."

Bari explained then stopped infront of a room. He held the golden ticket infront of the lock and then Bari twisted the lock and opened the door for Alex to enter as he handed him the ticket.

"Please have a pleasant journey Sir. And this is far as I can accompany you. You can ring the bell in your room if you need anything and a staff member will be there within 1 minutes. Well then, Sir. It was a pleasant conversation. If you will excuse me."

"Mm. I had a pleasant experience as well. Thanks for your efforts."

"It's my job."

With that, Bari bowed slightly and left. Alex shifted his gaze and he saw his neighbours of the journey. The two girls from before. Same thing being explained by their guide. Alex looked over briefly and noticed that both girls have flowing green hair and extremely beautiful face.

Alex didn't linger much. And just as he was about step insides, the girl with blue eyes called out. The girl with purple eyes frowned with a tried expression. She had a katakana on her waist so he was probably the blue eyed girls body guard.

"Yes? How can I help you?"

Alex asked. Feeling confused because he didn't do anything to get her attention.

"You have same green hair as us! Are you member of out Sakamo clan!?"

The girl asked with a bright expression. Her eyes wide with mischievous curiosity. She leaned closer to Alex, hands clasped behind her back. A small teasing smile on her face.

'So it was hair! Understandable...'

Alex reasoned internally.

"First, my hair isn't green but black and green gradient with green being the dominant colour. And second. No. I'm not part of any Sahoko clan... I just spawned in like four months ago."

Alex said with a 'not sure' look.

The girls eyes widened. Smiling boarder and eyes full of innocent curiosity. She clenched her fists in front of her chest in genuine excitement.

"Spawned in!? As in- are you Lost One!?"

She leaned closer to Alex. Practically touching. Alex her smell her fragrance that smell like jasmine. Alex frowned but didn't back down. The girls attendant pulled her back before Alex could say anything.

"Princess your making others uncomfortable!! Please restrain yourself!!"

"Aww~~ why!? I want to know more about him~~! Please~~~ pretty please~~"

The girl pleaded like a child. Alex found it funny and chuckled softly.

"I'm not going anywhere for the next 3 days. You can find me whenever. But for now. I think you listen to your friend over there miss Sahoko."

"Really!? You will talk to me afterwards!?"

"Yes."

"Yea!!"

Sakamo heiress cheered. Her attendant sighed and released her. The heiress happily went inside her room.

The attendant came forward and bowed politely in gratitude and shame.

"I apologise for my Masters misconduct. My name is Aika Sakamo. And my Master is Saika Sakamo. We are from the prestigious Sakamo clan of Japan. And please pardon my offence but it is pronounced as Sakamo, not Sahoko."

Aika said.

"Ah! Sorry! I'm learing Japanese so there was some misinterpreting on my part. And I'm Alexander Pluto by the way. Nice to meet you."

Alex said with a smile. Aika smiled back and nodded in acknowledgement.

"Then. See you later as you Master seems overly enthusiastic about Lost One's. Haha."

"Please. Sir Pluto. You don't have to indulge my Master. If you give her an inch, she will want a yard."

"It's fine. And call me Alex. We look the same age. Farewell then. You should rest. And if you don't find me in my room, I will most probably be in the deck."

With that, Alex entered his room and closed the door. Aika stood there and stared at the door as if expecting it would open again. But then she shook her head and entered her room.
