The creature let out a thunderous roar toward the sky, bestowing a Strength effect upon Galen Yu.
Unlike a Ghost Dragon, a Bone Dragon possessed a solid, tangible form. However, this did not mean its strength had diminished.
On the contrary, it was far more powerful!
Perhaps this was the terrifying result of returning from the dead and touching the forbidden taboo of the undead.
Its powerful frame lacked flesh and blood, yet its white bones could withstand higher-intensity attacks and endure more grueling combat.
Like other Great Dragons, the Bone Dragon possessed a breath weapon, but it was not the ghostly blue fire. Instead, it exhaled a burst that caused a massive explosion upon impact, functioning like a launched TNT block that pulverized the surrounding terrain.
Another advantage was that the Bone Dragon required no Dragon Meal; it would automatically regenerate health.
Furthermore, upon being tamed, it was automatically at the maximum growth stage. Riding atop that white skeletal frame and looking out over the surroundings evoked a unique sensation from within.
'I wonder what the Bone Dragon's actual combat strength is like,' Galen Yu mused with curiosity.
He knew the Bone Dragon's power was significant, but the specifics still required testing.
Fortunately, he didn't have to wait long.
The Wandering Mage's expression suddenly turned grave as he stared intently at the distant horizon.
Small black dots gradually grew larger, and the silhouettes of massive dragons appeared.
"They've finally arrived!"
Since they were still inside another faction's chunk, it was only a matter of time before they were discovered.
Galen Yu showed no hint of fear. He summoned his Bone Dragon, his eyes lighting up.
"Are they here to deliver more dragon eggs?"
The viewers in the bullet chat were equally excited.
"Since it's an evolution of the Ghost Dragon, the Bone Dragon must be even stronger!"
"He just obtained a new dragon and already someone's delivering themselves to his doorstep?"
"This is great! I want to see a total bloodbath!"
"I wonder how shocked those dragons will be when they see a completely new species?"
"The key is the actual power. This round of Dragon Hunt will be the perfect litmus test!"
"Good heavens, has the Dragon Hunt already been relegated to just a 'litmus test' for him?"
Without realizing it, the legendary Dragon Hunt had become nothing more than a stepping stone for Galen Yu to test the combat capabilities of his new dragon species.
On the other side, because they were within their own territory, a significant number of dragons had gathered.
Three Stage 5 Light Dragons, two Stage 5 Ice Dragons, and two Stage 5 Fire Dragons.
A total of seven Stage 5 Dragons!
The leading Light Dragon wore a solemn expression, letting out low growls.
"This human is very strange. We have sent many dragons already, yet they have all been slain by him!"
"If we fail again, I fear we will disturb the Dragon Mother!"
"The wrath of the Cursed Black Dragon would reduce this entire world to ashes!"
At the mention of that name, the dragons fell into a collective silence.
The Cursed Black Dragon was a forbidden existence among their kind.
Rumor had it that it was once an ordinary dragon species, but because of its exceptional talent and immense potential, it had reached terrifying heights.
However, a long time ago, it was corrupted during a battle with a massive Titan, transforming into its current form.
It was now controlled by the Dragon Mother. Provided one had the right items, any creature could trade with the Dragon Mother for a chance to see it.
Though, none of them understood who would be bored enough to seek out a corrupted, monstrous dragon.
One black dragon wasn't the issue. The real problem was that if the Dragon Mother learned of Galen Yu's existence—a human capable of killing so many dragons—she would likely release the Cursed Black Dragon.
Unleashing that thing would be a catastrophe for all dragons. In its mind, there was no concept of comrades or race; there was only endless slaughter and obedience to the Dragon Mother's commands.
Even the dragon tribes backing them would be affected.
"A mere little rat dares to sneak in here. We must finish him this time!"
The dragons were brimming with confidence.
The difference between fighting inside a chunk and outside of it was massive. Without their usual buffs, the human's combat strength should be vastly inferior.
Furthermore, this was their home turf, and the opponent was only one person. How could he possibly prevail against so many dragons?
As they flew closer, the leading Light Dragon noticed something amiss.
"Wait, what is that thing?"
It was the skeletal remains of a dragon! However, it hadn't collapsed on the ground. It was flapping its wings and letting out the sound of grinding bone, roaring just like a living dragon!
A dragon made of bone!
"How can a skeleton move? Do any of you recognize this species?"
The lead dragon questioned the others, but they all shook their heads. How could they possibly know what a Bone Dragon was?
Seeing the enemies in the sky, the Bone Dragon proactively launched an attack.
However, when the seven dragons unleashed their collective breath attacks, they realized things weren't that simple.
"What incredible defense!"
"How are those bones so hard? We can't destroy them at all!"
"It seems our attacks are barely having an effect. How is this possible?"
"No, it's even regenerating automatically!"
With the strength of a single dragon, it was holding its own against seven Stage 5 Dragons!
Watching the scene in the sky, Galen Yu used his SlashBlade to lock onto the targets, silently monitoring the dragons' statuses.
'Even in a one-on-seven fight, it's only slightly at a disadvantage.'
Its health was indeed dropping quickly, but the seven dragons on the opposite side were finding it difficult to finish the Bone Dragon off.
By his calculations, the Bone Dragon's limit was roughly a one-on-five encounter.
Galen Yu then ordered the Ice Dragon King and the Light Dragon he had hatched previously to join the fray. With new allies assisting and the Ice Dragon providing crowd control, the situation changed.
The Bone Dragon grew even more excited, its attacks becoming increasingly savage.
The tide of battle gradually leveled out, and soon, they even held a slight upper hand!
"As expected of a new species researched by God Yu. This is definitely a high-grade dragon!"
"It has the stats and the mechanics. If you take away the Light Dragons, I bet it could crush those four low-grade dragons with zero pressure!"
"A few days ago you were calling them 'sweethearts,' and in the blink of an eye, the Ice and Fire Dragons have become 'low-grade'?"
"I have to say, even if the health pools look similar, the species of dragon really does determine the gap in strength!"
"The base damage and defense are just different. Honestly, I think the Light Dragon might even be considered low-grade now!"
"The Bone Dragon and those dragons in the Dragon Realm can probably be considered high-grade, right?"
"I haven't seen it yet, but the Dragon Mother is definitely a Boss Dragon!"
After watching for a few days, the audience had developed a new understanding of the dragons.
Based on their performance, one could roughly categorize the species by tier. The Ice and Fire Dragons were roughly equal and belonged to the lowest tier.
The Lightning Dragon was slightly stronger, and the Light Dragon was the strongest of the basic types. The Ghost Dragon's power level sat somewhere between the Lightning and Light Dragons, while the Bone Dragon was superior to the Light Dragon.
The Bone Dragon was currently the strongest dragon they had seen!
If Galen Yu saw these comments, he would surely have added more detail.
The Dark Dragon was stronger than the Ice, Fire, and Lightning dragons, but slightly weaker than the Light Dragon.
Among the special dragons, the Crystal Dragon was stronger than the Bone Dragon, and the Bone Dragon was stronger than the Sky Dragon, while the Ghost Dragon was at the bottom of the special tier.
As a very unique quadrupedal dragon, the Crystal Dragon's damage could even rival that of the Black Dragon.
However, in terms of acquisition difficulty, the Bone Dragon was the best early-game companion, as evidenced by its ability to hold out against seven foes.
The only things stronger were the Hybrid Dragons and the Boss Dragons.
Boss Dragons required entering the Dragon Realm, while Hybrid Dragons...
He looked up at the sky. Among the seven dragons, there were several females.
Hybrid Dragons usually existed in the Dragon Realm and could not be tamed directly; they had to be bred by the player.
Previously, he didn't have enough dragons or the rare materials required for breeding. But now that they had all delivered themselves to him, he certainly wouldn't be lacking in resources from A Song of Ice and Fire!
Frostfire Dragons! Hellfire Dragons! Thunder-light Dragons!
Soon, he would be able to breed them all!
With these thoughts in mind, he looked back at the battle in the sky.
It was still intense and difficult to determine a victor, so he simply flew up to provide assistance.
As the first enemy dragon plummeted to the ground, the victory of this battle was effectively declared.
On the ground, the Wandering Mage stroked the small Light Dragon on his shoulder, his eyes filled with complex emotions.
"Great Alloy Wargod... it's as if I am seeing the shadow of the Lord of Civilization!"
