Taming a Ghost Dragon!
It sounds like nothing special—just another dragon.
If one can tame Ice Dragons, Fire Dragons, and even Lightning and Light Dragons, what's a Ghost Dragon?
But when you actually see a Ghost Dragon, it's a translucent creature floating in the air.
It's hard to even call it a dragon!
It's a pure undead species. Can this really be tamed?
"It's already dead and turned into a ghost, and you're saying you want to tame it?"
"How? Does killing a Ghost Dragon drop an egg?"
"Dead things dropping eggs? Stop joking!"
"The body has rotted away, leaving only a skeleton. How could it drop an egg?"
"If it can't drop an egg, how do you hatch the dragon?"
"Is God Yu planning to pull a 'ghost-romancer' move?"
Wild dragons cannot be tamed directly; they must be killed to drop an egg, which is then hatched.
Other dragons are straightforward, but a Ghost Dragon is a soul that refuses to dissipate after the dragon dies, even after the body has rotted.
Could it really have an egg?
How is that possible!
"Roar!"
Without overthinking it, the Ice Dragon King was the first to strike.
It didn't care about the enemy's life state or health pool; as long as it showed hostility toward Galen Yu, it was an enemy.
Its Frost Breath immediately froze the Ghost Dragon into a block of ice, severely limiting its movement and speed.
In terms of crowd control, Ice Dragons are the strongest among the species.
Although it could no longer speak in death, its combat instincts from its past life made the Ghost Dragon let out a roar, forcefully breaking free from the ice.
It spat out its own breath, but it was unlike any other dragon species.
Its breath was filled with the aura of death. Any grass it touched was ignited, burning with a blue, ghostly fire.
Upon impact, it would also inflict the Wither effect on enemies!
These strengths made it look like a stage three or four dragon, yet it could hold its own even against the stage five Ice Dragon King.
"It's actually quite impressive,"
Galen Yu judged after watching for a moment.
He wasn't sure if it had been buffed, but he felt the Ghost Dragon was slightly stronger than he remembered.
Exploring at night without knowing the mechanics of Ice and Fire would make this guy a real headache to deal with.
But since he had come specifically for it, the stronger it was, the better.
Taking out and eating some Light Dragon Meat, Galen Yu drew his SlashBlade to attack.
"Light Dragon Meat?"
Looking at the dragon meat Galen Yu had handed him, the Wandering Mage hesitated slightly.
He knew very well that dragon meat had various attributes. While they restored hunger, the side effects were obvious.
For example, eating Fire Dragon meat caused self-combustion, Ice Dragon meat caused slowness, and Lightning Dragon meat would result in being struck by lightning.
He hadn't eaten Light Dragon meat before, but following the previous examples, it likely had a similar effect.
Seeing Galen Yu eat it, he gritted his teeth and followed suit.
The taste was far beyond his expectations.
Every type of dragon meat matched its attribute: Fire Dragon was scorching hot, Ice Dragon was freezing, and Lightning Dragon had a tingling, electric sensation.
Only the Light Dragon lacked those messy textures.
Instead, it felt warm, incredibly juicy, and delicious!
"Light Dragon... this is amazing!"
Licking his lips, the Wandering Mage couldn't help but savor the aftertaste.
This was what he imagined dragon meat should taste like!
Galen Yu had long since memorized these details.
Among all dragon species, the Light Dragon was not only powerful, but its drops were also much better for adventurers.
Generally speaking, all dragon meats had more or less negative effects—except for the Light Dragon.
Not only were there no negative effects, but after restoring a large amount of hunger, it also provided a Regeneration bonus!
It was as practical as eating a Golden Apple!
With this buff, he could boldly engage the Ghost Dragon in battle.
Among all weapons, the SlashBlade was a unique existence, not just because of its one-of-a-kind combat style.
But also because every SlashBlade had the potential to be upgraded, growing stronger as its Proud Soul value and Refine count increased.
The Yamato, dropped from killing the Ender Dragon, now dealt impressive damage against dragons after being upgraded and refined.
As his rank increased, every strike dealt fifty points of damage to the Ghost Dragon.
Even though the ghost was strong—strong enough to duel a stage five Ice Dragon King—under the combined assault of a stage five Ice Dragon, a stage four Light Dragon, a Mage, and Galen Yu...
Its health quickly dwindled to the bottom.
"Pardon me for speaking up, but since the Ghost Dragon is undead, it won't drop anything upon death."
"No corpse, no egg. How do you plan to tame it?"
Signaling the dragons to back off, Galen Yu answered the Wandering Mage with his actions.
[Silver Chains]
These could be crafted with six Silver Ingots and were one of the few items where Silver Ore was actually useful.
One needed to beat the Ghost Dragon down to low health—the lower the health, the higher the success rate—and then use the chains to imprison it.
As he used the Silver Chains, the Ghost Dragon was immediately snared, with chains attempting to bind it from all sides.
Sensing this, its remaining consciousness made it thrash its body, its massive strength causing the ground to rumble.
Crack!
The chains shattered under its powerful struggle, scattering and vanishing.
It failed, but that was normal.
Capturing a Ghost Dragon was a matter of probability; if one failed, try twice; if twice failed, try three times.
To capture this type of dragon before, Galen Yu had once spent an entire night from dusk until dawn and still failed.
Fortunately, he didn't have to spend a whole night this time.
By the second set of chains, the Ghost Dragon showed signs of exhaustion, finding it difficult to break free from the shackles.
Finally, it was successfully bound, and it lowered its proud head to Galen Yu.
"Roar..."
It was still a roar, but compared to its first appearance, it carried a hint of fawning as its massive head nudged against Galen Yu's clothes.
"He did it again!"
"He actually succeeded in subduing a dragon that was just a lingering soul?"
"I've decided. From now on, we should call God Yu the Dragon Master!"
"If he can even subdue a soul, is there any dragon he can't tame?"
"In such a short time, he already has a third dragon!"
"And the Ghost Dragon isn't weak. I bet it could take on two others at once even without buffs!"
"Yeah, and that's only at stage three or four. If he feeds it up to stage five, won't it just solo all the lower-tier dragon species?"
"He just leveled up his chunk, and already he's distinguishing between low-tier and high-tier dragons?"
Seeing the Ghost Dragon tamed so quickly, the bullet chat was filled with amazement.
Looking back a few days, they were still rookies who felt fear just hearing about a Dragon Hunt.
How much time had passed since then? He had already obtained so many dragon eggs and even subdued a special species like the Ghost Dragon!
The progress was simply too fast!
It was incredibly satisfying to watch!
Who cares if it's a giant dragon? Once its health bar appears, it's just waiting to be dealt with!
When the Ghost Dragon breathed, besides the Ghostly Fire, the blocks it touched were transformed into something else.
Soul Sand!
This special block resource, originally only found in the Nether, could now be obtained infinitely and continuously as long as he had a Ghost Dragon!
While digging up the Soul Sand, Galen Yu began preparing for something else.
