"So many Piglins!"
In the Nether, Galen Yu walked out of the fortress, the entrance surrounded by Piglins.
He hadn't seen this group of mobs before; had they just spawned recently?
Regardless, Galen Yu was quite happy.
"The gold ingots I brought finally have a use!"
Putting on his golden boots, he strode confidently into the middle of the Piglin group.
The Piglins only cast a glance at him; seeing the gold equipment on his feet, they didn't attack.
Instead, when Galen Yu tossed out gold ingots, they rushed over to inspect them and threw back random items.
This scene once again caused the Samurai Nation audience to suffer a mental breakdown.
"Why aren't the Piglins attacking him?"
"We went through so much effort to lure the Piglins over, and you're telling me they only attack Mountwell?"
"Useless Mountwell, you deserve to be buried in the dirt!"
"Stupid pig, wasting both time and resources!"
"The Piglins are even throwing Obsidian at him? This is literally unplayable!"
"Why hasn't a piece of trash like Mountwell died in a zombie horde already!"
Since Zombies weren't spawning in the Nether yet, the Samurai Nation viewers could only place their hopes on the Piglins.
With so many Piglins, even if he didn't end up as pathetic as Mark or Kapil, surely Galen Yu would face some setbacks, right?
The result was a resounding no.
Having picked up plenty of Obsidian, even the 'underhanded tactic' of mining a portal now seemed laughable.
What was more painful than seeing their own player flee in panic was watching another player stroll leisurely through the environment.
They could only watch helplessly as Galen Yu left with a backpack full of resources!
"The Nether portal was destroyed?"
Noticing the halved Nether portal, Galen Yu's brow furrowed slightly.
He didn't know if it was the work of an Enderman or another player; if it was an Enderman, there was truly nothing to be done.
If it was another player, it didn't matter.
The crisis would educate everyone equally.
Zombie hordes, blood moons, and Zombies that grew stronger every ten days.
Even veteran players couldn't avoid disaster in Hardcore mode, let alone this group of novices.
He rebuilt the Nether portal and returned, the familiar feeling of weightlessness washing over him.
When he opened his eyes again, Galen Yu was back on his Sky Island.
'Good thing I have Steve's Leg!'
Feeling the full weight of his backpack, he thought fortunately to himself.
Having too many items in a backpack would trigger a weighted state; with his original constitution, it would have taken quite some time to transport all these things back.
Steve's Leg greatly mitigated the negative effects of the weight, allowing him to stay one step ahead of everyone else!
He dropped the items back into his storage chests and looked around.
Compared to when Galen Yu left, the most prominent addition was a stone wall to the left.
He estimated it was about twenty blocks high and forty blocks wide, appearing slightly larger than the Sky Island itself.
As he approached, he noticed the difference from ordinary cobblestone.
A layer of faint golden patterns was attached to the wall!
They flickered like rhythmic breathing; placing his hand on it, he closed his eyes and listened carefully.
The faint sounds of roars and battle cries reached his ears, making him feel as if he were on a battlefield, filled with a chilling aura!
"What an oppressive building!"
"This is the Great Wall? It's completely different from ordinary cobblestone buildings!"
"There's an indescribable feeling; one look at it makes my blood boil!"
"I can't take it anymore, I want to kill the invaders!"
Through the screen, this feeling was transmitted to every Nine Provinces viewer.
The stirrings within their very blood made it difficult to remain calm!
[NEW CHUNK BUILDING: GREAT WALL - MYTHIC (UNDER CONSTRUCTION)]
[NOT YET COMPLETED; THIS BUILDING TEMPORARILY DOES NOT PROVIDE CHUNK POINTS!]
[DESCRIPTION: BUILT BY THE ARCHITECT OF SKY ISLAND FOR HIS SUPREME LORD. IT IS SAID TO INHERIT THOUSANDS OF YEARS OF HISTORY FROM A CERTAIN CIVILIZATION AND CONTAINS SPECIAL POWER.]
[CURRENTLY UNLOCKED PERMISSIONS: COPPER GOLEM, SONG OF THE GALE.]
He opened his eyes, and everything in his ears vanished as if it had never existed.
Galen Yu knew about the Copper Golem; it was a being similar to an Iron Golem, but made of copper, short in stature, and didn't participate in combat.
It would help organize chest categories, serving as a logistical mob.
The Song of the Gale was a built-in function of the Great Wall, somewhat similar to a beacon.
[SONG OF THE GALE: ALL ALLIED ENTITIES WITHIN THE CHUNK RECEIVE +15% ATTACK DAMAGE, +15% HEALTH, AND +10% SPEED.]
[DESCRIPTION: A BALLAD FROM AN ANCIENT CIVILIZATION BURIED IN HISTORY. ITS MOMENTUM IS MAJESTIC AND CHILLING, LEAVING ONE SPIRITED AND ENERGIZED.]
It provided a chunk-wide buff.
To have so many buffs when only a small portion was built.
Galen Yu felt increasingly fortunate that he had converted this special Zombie Villager!
"Honored Lord, you have returned!"
Upon seeing Galen Yu, the Architect hurriedly walked down the cobblestone path he was building.
Behind him followed several Villagers holding blocks, seemingly in the middle of construction.
"Please forgive my presumption; after seeing the Villagers, I took the liberty of breaking your wooden boat."
The Villagers had been converted by feeding them Golden Apples before he entered the Nether.
Originally, Galen Yu was having a headache over farming Emeralds, but looking at them now...
Regardless of their profession, under the Architect's training, they had reached at least Expert level.
The highest-level ones had already become Masters and could trade the best items directly!
Having such a servant NPC had certainly saved Galen Yu a lot of trouble.
"You've done well!"
Upon receiving the praise, small red hearts popped up over the Architect's head.
This was a sign of increased favorability.
"The dangers of the future have not yet arrived. Keep it up!"
Without using any resources, just a few words could increase favorability; Galen Yu was very satisfied.
Patting his shoulder in encouragement, he returned to his room.
'What kind of effect will the completed Great Wall have?'
Looking up into the distance, Galen Yu's mind wandered.
Regardless, this would be one of the best aids for resisting the crisis in the future.
By the late stages of the crisis, even on a Sky Island, those Zombies would be able to build blocks across the void to lock onto him!
He looked up; the sky had long since grown dark, but thinking of how powerful the late-stage Zombies would be...
He had to seize every moment to develop!
He found dirt blocks and flowers, then poured in two buckets of water.
He dropped a diamond. BOOM!
Thunder crashed, and the Twilight portal appeared.
He crafted an anvil ahead of time and took out enchantment books to enchant his gear.
Thanks to the first-place rewards, he didn't lack any enchantment buffs.
Sweeping Edge, Unbreaking, Sharpness, Mending, Protection, Feather Falling...
He also took out the special reward weapon from before: the Mace.
With all the enchantments complete and the magical power of the spells flowing over him, Galen Yu felt completely secure.
"Speedrun. Let the whole world witness the speed of the Nine Provinces!"
On the other side of the Sky Island.
Soren Park lay on a mushroom block, bored out of his mind.
His dirt farm had been expanded to ten blocks, beginning to take shape.
[CURRENT TOTAL CHUNK SCORE: 4 (MICRO-CHUNK)]
[PLAYER RANKING: 10]
A whole four points, putting him directly into the top ten rankings!
BOOM!
Thunder flashed nearby, giving Soren Park a start.
Seeing it was from Galen Yu's direction, he understandingly lay back down.
"Found the Twilight entrance so quickly? He sure can stay busy!"
Blocks obstructed his view, so he couldn't see the specifics of the Sky Island, but he could infer a thing or two.
He wasn't surprised Galen Yu could find the Twilight entrance, but entering at this time...
Soren Park sneered.
"I don't know what kind of madness has gripped the Nine Provinces, piling up cobblestone to make a wall, but the Zombies have been getting stronger lately."
Outside was filled with zombie hordes; he didn't know which bastard had caused it.
But regardless of the chaos outside, the chunk was always the safest place!
His Mushroom Island simply wouldn't spawn mobs; he just needed to develop slowly and it would naturally become a medium-sized civilization.
A guaranteed easy win!
At most, he'd go out during the day to scavenge some resources; no need to fight like everyone else!
"Go on, head to the Twilight Forest. Staying in your chunk every day building that crappy wall, you have no idea what's happening outside!"
"Once the zombie horde consumes you, the Sky Island will be mine!"
