My blood ran cold as three stern-faced elders marched into the room, their presence commanding immediate attention.
The moment everyone spotted these formidable figures, the entire room went dead silent. Every face drained of color as if they'd seen ghosts.
Ivy's quiet sobs died instantly. Her eyes went wide with terror as she stared at the newcomers.
Genevieve jumped to her feet so fast she nearly stumbled, then stood rigidly to the side, barely breathing.
The three Fairfax brothers shot up from their seats, clasping their hands in traditional salute before bowing deeply. Their faces showed nothing but pure reverence.
Richard strode forward, bowing respectfully. "Granduncles."
