Dominic's POV
"Hey, where are you going?" Julian shouted, rushing to catch up as I walked ahead.
When I kept moving, Julian grabbed my arm.
"What the hell are you doing? Your dad called me before I came over.
"He said if you don't get your act together, he'll have your brother ship you off to the military.
"You know your brother's temper, right? Let him deal with you and he'll beat you senseless in no time."
I stopped cold. Rage flashed through me, then disappeared. I let out a slow breath. "Is it so wrong to pursue love?"
"What?" Julian snapped.
"I like her," I said. "It was love at first sight."
Julian's voice shot up an octave. "Don't tell me you're actually gay?"
I shot him a look of mild disgust. "Who said I like men? Dad sent you to set me straight because I fell for some young girl, didn't he? Did you lose your brain?"
Julian finally exhaled in relief. "I saw you all worked up about Digby and thought you'd fallen for him."
"If you weren't my uncle..." I muttered.
