Dominic flashed that familiar grin of his. "Extra years of life—let's call it thirty-five dollars every second, starting right now. Deal?"
The audacity left both Digby and me stunned into silence. After what felt like forever, Digby glanced my way. "That actually sounds reasonable." Dominic had thrown out an offer that was damn near impossible to turn down.
But I wasn't buying it. "Where exactly did you get your hands on that kind of cash?"
The Vancourts clan was military through and through, except for his stepmother who dabbled in business. For Dominic to suddenly have billions lying around? Something stank.
Dominic shrugged like it was nothing. "Made it myself. You probably don't know this, but I've been launching businesses for years. Hit some bumps here and there, but generally? Pretty damn successful."
