Dominic's POV
"Alright, I trust you." I couldn't help but glance into Amara's eyes.
What I discovered was that whenever Amara faced me, her gaze always carried a subtle edge.
Like she was a sharpened weapon ready to pierce through me without warning.
I released a resigned chuckle, then took a couple of steps toward Amara.
"Stop giving me that look," I said. "We're not adversaries. Sure, I've got some beef with the Steel Trine Territory, but you said yourself it's nothing major. We're allies now."
"Allies?" Amara responded as though she'd heard something amusing.
"So far, you haven't explained what value you actually bring," she continued.
I stared at her in disbelief. "I can back you up."
Amara looked puzzled.
"Plus, I can pinpoint Pip's exact whereabouts," I added. "Handling stuff like that shouldn't be an issue for me."
After hearing this, Amara went quiet once more.
From what I could tell, she found me somewhat irritating.
