Chapter 6 - 70% Evolution! Max Level Techniques!

The students who were spectating from above were immediately surprised as they saw the Six-Tailed Purple Serpent collapse heavily to the ground.

They immediately went to a frenzy as they discussed with one another.

"Should we call it luck or nah?"

One of the junior year students spoke.

"I really thought he was going to die, I'm almost disappointed," another girl said with a laugh.

"Don't tell me he just learned the Falling Sun technique right now?! I learned that skill back in Junior Year 2!" another exclaimed in surprise.

"Isn't he supposed to be trash?" someone else asked, confused.

"I lost the bet! Shit!"

The fellow Senior Year 3 students who knew Vogue personally didn't know whether to feel impressed or embarrassed by the display. Sure, killing three Sunfiends was genuinely impressive, especially given the circumstances. But learning the first move of a Basic Technique for the first time after five years of being in the academy? How could someone possibly have such low comprehension ability?

At the center of the stadium floor, Vogue stood there panting heavily, his body covered in sweat, blood, and dirt. A medical team rushed out from the side entrance, carrying a stretcher and medical supplies. They quickly reached him and began examining his injuries while preparing to transport him.

Vogue's eyes lifted toward the high table where the teachers sat. His gaze locked onto Teacher Raine, who sat there with that same expressionless look on her face, her massive chest rising and falling gently with her breathing as she stood there.

"Murderer," Vogue said through gritted teeth as he glared at her intently.

Teacher Raine must have heard him despite the distance, or maybe she felt his gaze.

Her head slowly tilted down until her eyes met his across the stadium. She suddenly raised an eyebrow as she locked at him.

Vogue was even more annoyed and he glared even more at her.

They stared at each other for a long moment, neither backing down. Then the medical team lifted Vogue onto the stretcher and began carrying him away toward the medical facilities. Even as they carried him off, Vogue kept his eyes locked on Teacher Raine until he finally vanished from sight through the stadium exit.

Teacher Raine lips seemed to curl up into a shadow of a smile.

In the medical room located beneath the stadium, Vogue laid on the medical bed.

The room was small but well-equipped, with shelves lined with various medical supplies.

A different teacher, entered the room carrying a porcelain bottle.

The teacher was an elderly woman with kind eyes and a nice looking face. She opened the bottle carefully, revealing a single bean. The bean was about the size of a normal beans, but it was next black.

"The Principal has decided to grant you a lifebean," the teacher explained.

"You need to swallow it and then enter a meditative state. The bean will accelerate your body's natural healing processes. As long as your injuries aren't immediately life-threatening, you should be fully recovered within a few hours."

"Ohh."

Vogue reached out and accepted the lifebean.

He had heard about these legendary items before, back when he first received the original Vogue's memories. They were incredibly rare, grown in special gardens that required years of careful cultivation. Each bean represented a fortune that most common people would never see in their entire lives.

He wasn't surprised they would give this to him because one, the Practical exercise had been very dangerous and two, if he didn't recover from his injury and he was transported to that world, he would certainly die and the school cannot afford to be the cause of a potential Silver Knight dying.

The teacher gave him an encouraging smile before leaving the room and closing the door behind her.

Alone in the medical room, Vogue checked his pain points.

[Pain Point: 109]

He has amassed a total of 109 pain points which made Vogue smiled.

However, he frowned slightly. He had thought it would take 100 pain points to level up Basic Axe Technique from level 1 to level 2. But it actually cost just 10 PP.

Vogue didn't hesitate any longer and immediately spoke. "Upgrade Basic Axe Technique to the highest realm!"

[Ding! -40 Pain Points]

Immediately, flashed of memories descended onto him like an holy spirit. Vogue felt the vicissitude of time pass as he practice the Axe with all his might. Hours turn to days, days turn to weeks and weeks to years.

In the eve of the tenth year, he finally reached the ultimate realm of the Basic Axe Technique, imprinting itself into his memories and his muscles.

Vogue opened his eyes and let out a mouthful of turbid breath. The system is truly magical. He felt as though he lived that life ten years when originally just a second or so had passed.

[Ding! Basic Axe Technique has advanced. (Lvl 2) —-> (Max)]

[Ding!]

[Level 2 (Defensive): Cross Guard]

[Level 3 (Movement): Steller Path]

[Level 4 (Combination): Moon Cycle]

[Max Level: Cruel Sun]

Seeing the skills of the techniques he has learnt, he was even more confident. Right now, he has 79 Pain point left.

"System, Upgrade Moon Swallowing Meditation Technique to the highest Level."

[Ding! -50 Pain Points]

It was the same experience as the last time but this time, he didn't practice for 10 years but for 19 years instead.

Vogue felt like crying. He didn't think his talent would be that bad. By the time he opened his eyes, he felt like an old man and seemed to be way more matured than a second ago.

Sighing, he checked his status. "Status."

——

Vogue's jaw dropped open in pure shock and amazement. His cell evolution had jumped from twenty-two percent all the way up to seventy percent! Just by upgrading his breathing technique and combat technique to maximum proficiency, he had nearly tripled his evolved cell count.

If he could learn other techniques like basic boxing, basic swordplay, basic spearwork, and others, then max out each one, his strength would grow exponentially.

Vogue smile widened as they stretched so wide he looked like a evil incarnate of the Joker.

He calmed himself down and observed his status just out of joy when he noticed the noticed the + sign near his combat technique and meditation technique and then the word saying upgrade.

Vogue was stunned. He could actually increase the grade of his combat techniques and meditation manual from Ordinary Grade to Human-Grade

IIt was simply too unbelievable.

But his excitement didn't last for long. Upgrading a technique from Ordinary to Human Grade required one hundred pain points. Right now, he only had twenty-nine points remaining, nowhere near enough to afford even a single upgrade.

He sighed and waved the status off.

Even though his regeneration ability could heal his injuries almost instantly, Vogue didn't dare use it here. The medical room might have monitoring devices or someone could walk in at any moment. If anyone discovered that he possessed regenerative abilities before taking the Osympic Test, things would be bad for him.

He swallowed the bean, closed his eyes and meditated using the Moon Swallowing Meditation Technique.

A few seconds later, tiny mites of silvery lights almost invincible to the naked eye seeped into his flesh, gathering into his cells as it evolved his cells slowly.

—————

Back at Crescent Stadium, the other Senior year 3 students also battled with various Sun-Fiends but the battle was incredibly boring.

Most Senior Year 3 had evolved more than 60 percent of their cells with the highest evolving 100 percent of their cells for a long time.

For example, the class monitor Lotus had evolved 100 percent of her cells a year ago and had even traveled ti the wilderness near the Ring Walls to battle Sun-fiends.

Not only her. Those students they call elites have been doing such things for about half a year to a year. Therefore, they were eagerly waiting for the Osympic Test.

The test is based on once performance. If one unlocked an F-grade Talent but performed exceptionally well during the test, The Omnibus System could grant them another Talent, making them Dual-Talent.

People with Dual Talents are rare but not impossible to find. As most people want to change their destiny.

This is why everyone thrive to get a good score during the Osympic Test. The Omnibus System is fair but it's cruel in its own way.

Quickly, the 300 plus Year 3 students each used 30 seconds to kill their crippled Sun-fiends.

After the last student killed, the principal dismissed everyone with a single sentence.

"The heads of the Sun-Fiends will be sent to your homes, cultivate with it and get used to coming in contact with one. You're all dismissed."
