Chapter 68 - Chapter 68: Hydro Astrolabe: How can you be so selfish!

Mona woke up very early in the morning.

Unusually, she woke up on a soft mattress today. After getting up, she fried two slices of bacon, an egg, and two slices of buttered toast in a pan.

Sitting at a small table by the window, Mona ate her breakfast while flipping through a magazine.

However, her gaze was wandering, not at all focused on the magazine.

"Ugh! So annoying! I thought I could forget him after a good night's sleep!"

She threw the magazine away. The bacon on her fork also flew up, but while the magazine wouldn't break, the bacon would get dirty. Mona immediately reacted, catching the bacon with her mouth and swallowing it in a few bites.

Mona then forked up the fried egg and took a bite, mumbling, "Why is it like this? I finally had a long-awaited hot bath, and a comfortable house to live in. These are two happy things combined, so why is my mind full of that person..."

Yes, since last night, four words had been lingering in Mona's heart: son-in-law who rides a dragon.

She even dreamt last night that Orion flew over on a Qucusaurus, picked her up in a Princess Carry, and they flew together to an island full of baby Geovishaps, where Ancient Geovishaps were building her a house.

A strange dream.

However, she knew nothing about Orion. She could even imagine that if Orion accidentally blurted out that he was Alice's son while mumbling to himself, she would definitely yell for a duel with him, and might even develop a hostile competitive mindset.

"How about I do a reading? Just to understand him. He definitely wouldn't mind! Ri-right? He shouldn't, right?"

Mona's Hydro Vision glowed, and she summoned her hydro astrolabe, intending to read Orion's fortune.

"Let me see your past!" Mona declared, immediately forming hand seals!

Then, in the next second, the entire hydro astrolabe shattered with a bang! The shockwave spread out like a sonic boom, making all the furniture in the room hum!

Mona was startled, screamed, and covered her head. When she sat up and looked at the nearby table, the formerly smooth tabletop had been pierced through by water droplets! It was hard to imagine the power of its disintegration.

Mona glanced at the other furniture with lingering fear. Sure enough, though not obvious, many pieces of furniture had clearly also been damaged.

Finally, she turned her gaze to the breakfast plate in front of her.

The white porcelain plate imported from Liyue now had four chips.

A larger circle was cut out from the center of the plate, and three similar circles were also cut out from the surrounding area.

Mona was filled with doubt and surprise. She had never seen Orion's Giant Spider form, let alone the flying saucer behind the Giant Spider.

Now, she only cared about one question: What kind of identity did Orion have to make the hydro astrolabe explode?

"But it doesn't matter, I can still do a reading! If I can't see his past, I can see something else!"

With that, Mona summoned the hydro astrolabe again. If the past was hidden, surely his Constellation could be seen?

"Let me see your destiny! Eh? Eh eh eh? Wh-what?!"

It exploded again. This time, the hydro astrolabe was first Frozen into ice, then a strong wind blew from somewhere, rock material began to appear on the ice, and finally, it was scorched by flames... In the very end, the hydro astrolabe directly exploded into a sky full of clouds, looking exactly like a nebula viewed through a telescope.

Mona, unwilling to give up, tried several more times. As expected, they all exploded.

"No, this is ridiculous! If you can't read it, then don't read it! Why are you blowing up my plates?!" Mona was a little exasperated.

However, Mona also had some guesses about this.

Perhaps her own rank was insufficient to predict Orion's rank... What exactly was this guy's identity?

"Eh? Wait, my own?" Mona suddenly had an idea: "If that guy is really my son-in-law who rides a dragon or something, then wouldn't it be fine if I just read my own fortune? Surely it wouldn't even stop me from reading my own?"

Acting on the thought, Mona summoned the hydro astrolabe again. This time, the hydro astrolabe actually didn't explode.

"It worked! But why is my destiny so far off? Can I see a future scene?" Mona muttered to herself as she began to conjure the scene. What she didn't know was that if she had tried to divine Orion normally, she wouldn't even be able to divine the lowest-level mimicry.

However, it was her act of divining herself that exploited a loophole, causing the lowest-tier mimicry to be brought forth.

On the screen, a red-clad elf man and a black-haired twin-Horsetail witch stood together, accompanied by five children who looked very much like Mona, and several others with elf ears.

"Snap!" It was quick! Mona immediately deactivated the divination technique.

At this moment, Mona's face was flushed, and she stared blankly out the window.

After a long while, she finally spoke a sentence: "Victory in future family status is also victory!"

Today, Mona was victorious again... Today, Orion, unusually, overslept.

Barbara and Amber had been notified by Paimon last night, so there were no issues, only the progress of the 'kiss' was delayed.

However, a delay of a day or two no longer mattered. If you asked why, Orion felt an unusual exhaustion today.

Of course, it wasn't physical, but mental.

He hadn't seen Lumine show this level of subjective initiative in the game... Last night, he just returned to his Shota body and agreed to Lumine's request, and then...

For the entire night, Orion had lost his human rights, practically becoming a 'toy'.

It was too terrifying... Only last night, only on this martial arts arena, Lumine's stats actually rivaled Skirk! Not only that, but in terms of elemental output, attack endurance, immense aggression, and varied martial arts moves, Jean, Eula, and Lisa combined wouldn't even be half of Lumine.

A true 'Explosion Machine'.

Orion sat up and looked at the bedding soaked with Lumine's sweat, and a hint of 'pink' in the center. He finally sighed, took off the covers, and put on a new set.

Looking out the window, it was almost noon. Orion ambled out of the bedroom, nearly slipping at the door.

"What the—!" Orion steadied himself and looked down.

There was a small puddle of water at the doorway.

There was also a large dried patch at the edge of the water, indicating it had been spilled for some time.

The word spread: ORT almost died by drowning.

Walking into the living room, Orion asked the girls, "What's going on? Why didn't anyone mop the floor?"

"I didn't let them clean it; I wanted you to see it." Yunli said.

Orion looked puzzled, see what?

"By the way, where's Xiangling? Why isn't she here?"

This time Clara replied, "Sister Xiangling is sleeping. I just checked on her; she looks completely dehydrated, lying pale in bed, and she has dark circles under her eyes."

"I really don't understand what she's doing..." Orion sighed heavily... "Five hundred Mora, three questions."

Meanwhile, in the tavern, a Mysterious Masked Man said to Lumine and Paimon.
