Ficool

Chapter 8 - Your father became a monster. Don't let him in.

Vansuga's partner in the operation, known only by the code name DXX27, quietly documents every result, every mutation, every failure. While Vansuga obsesses over the parasite's evolution, DXX27 handles the aftermath.

With a flick of his arcane precision, he restores each test subject to its original form, draws the Bicox organism from their bodies, and extinguishes it. The extracted parasites vary wildly in size — some no larger than a pinkie finger at 2.5 centimeters, others stretching to a grotesque 17 centimeters before their termination.

Over one hundred and fifty parasites have been neutralized so far. Across all recorded cases, the Bicox organism displays a consistent pattern: rapid physical alteration of the host and a surge in raw strength.

Vansuga's calculations show an average 45% increase in physical power and speed, paired with a 25% decline in cognitive clarity. The parasite's metabolic demands are extreme, driving the host into a state of relentless hunger as the organism consumes nutrients faster than the body can replenish them. If the parasite eats too much, the stomach lining will eventually be consumed, further burning internal organs.

DXX27's deeper examinations reveal additional complications. The parasite's corrosive secretions irritate the upper digestive tract, leaving the host with severe inflammation and difficulty swallowing or breathing.

These symptoms vary in intensity, but the pattern is unmistakable — the Bicox parasite reshapes its host from the inside out, prioritizing aggression and survival over stability.

With all these traits in mind, it's time to bring out... The human subject.

(SCENE 2)

Milo Bao had driven all the way from Cincinnati, Ohio to Harrison, New Jersey just to watch Season play. Meanwhile, Flary gave Pammi the day off for the match. Outside their driveway, Flary, Soundnia, and Pammi joined hands, forming a small circle as light gathered beneath their feet.

"Form the rings of light and scatter the coordinates. Synchronize and transport — here!" Flary commanded.

In a flash, the three vanished.

June 14th, 2206 — 2:06 P.M.

Season and his team, São Paulo Flame FC, stepped onto the turf. The energy rolling off them felt like a volcano on the verge of eruption — heat, pressure, and raw ambition ready to burst.

Across the field, Ohio Valkyries FC emerged from their tunnel. Their presence cut through the stadium like a phoenix slicing across the sky, bright and sharp, clashing against the volcanic aura of São Paulo Flame FC.

Foo and Season look at each other, standing side by side like the rest of their team, the coach standing proudly in the front, like a king leading his army. Season felt a flicker of embarrassment seeing Foo so close. The sense of camaraderie between them, quiet but powerful, pulsed through the air.
