Chapter 43 - Chapter 43: The True Owner of Aetherion

Of the five realms of Genara, each had its own distinct characteristics and cultures.

Whether it is the nomadic, lonely lifestyles of the North.

The primitive, ancient ways of those who live in the West.

The fiery, exotic culture of the South.

Or the luxurious, hedonistic way of life in the Central realm.

Every realm had its ways of life and cultures cemented within its inhabitants after thousands of years of history and tradition.

Genara's Eastern realm is no exception to this. But due to the relatively low overall cultivation levels of the cultivators who reside here, it is seen as a wasteland by the other realms.

However, the Eastern realm is well-known for its natural beauty. From its long, winding plains, its full, dense forests, to its rolling hills covered in green, it is a masterpiece of nature's beauty, seemingly untouched by mortal hands.

And maybe because of the beauty and abundance of nature there, the Eastern realm is home to many nature races and spirit clans.

Clans such as the Stellar Deer Clan led by the Faenmir clan, the Tempest Sylph Race, or the Galewind Eagle Clan are clans that are either entirely operated and led by spiritual beasts or races. Their bloodlines had planted their roots in the Eastern realms since before time had been properly recorded.

There is no shortage of mystical and spiritual races among those that live in the East.

But if there is one thing that is prevalent throughout the Eastern realm, they are known for their beauty.

Whether it is the spirit races, the beast clans, or even the humans that had gradually settled within the realm, after living within the East surrounded by the dense nature essence soaking the air, those who live there gained an almost unnatural affinity for beauty.

One only needs to look toward the Faenmir matriarch, known for her saintly charm, or the princess of the Sylph race, whose divine elegance is said to purify the very soul.

Of the many who become members of the Goddess List of Genara's five realms, at least one of the top ten hails from the East.

This has always been a point of pride for Easterners, a fact that the disdain and contempt of more powerful realms could not erase.

That was until the Patriarch of the Aetherion Clan finally brought home a wife.

As one of the most sought-after geniuses in his generation, many celestial beauties had wanted to claim Vaelor Aetherion. Not only was he a one-in-a-million genius, he was handsome, arrogant, and powerful.

A combination that is lethal to the women of the cultivation world.

So when they heard that he had gotten married, naturally there was a vast outcry from many of his admirers.

Some had even journeyed to the Eastern Aetherion Clan to see this mysterious vixen that had "stolen" their great love away.

But all their jealousy and rage vanished instantly when they discovered who, in fact, he had married.

Liraxia Solvane.

The heiress of the Alchemy Tower's main family, the Solvane Clan, the power that arguably holds sovereignty over the spirit pill and elixir economy on Genara.

While there had been rumors about her beauty and brilliance, none had ever seen her before. The Solvane Clan had kept her locked up like a bird in a gilded cage.

And while many powerful clans and forces wished to strengthen their bonds with the Solvanes through marriage as an easy path forward, seeing how guarded they were about her existence, they all gradually gave up their wishful thoughts.

So seeing her appear out in the open as the new Matriarch of the Aetherion Clan left many shocked beyond words.

But more than her identity, there was one thing about her that brought the entire Eastern realm and the rest of Genara at the time to a halt.

"...Beautiful."

As those within the manor courtyard watched, a woman descended from the spirit boat on the arm of the Eastern realm's conqueror.

To describe her as beautiful would be an insult.

To see her as heavenly would be an affront.

It was as though her very existence challenged the restraint of the world around her. Her features were too perfect to be innocent.

Her lips curved with a quiet promise, eyes heavy with an allure that seemed to know exactly the effect they had. Every movement carried an unspoken confidence, graceful yet deliberate, drawing gazes without effort.

It was the kind of beauty that stirred temptation rather than admiration alone, leaving those who looked upon her with the uneasy sense that desire itself had been awakened—and would not be easily dismissed.

She was sinful beauty incarnate, and she knew it.

"Well, well, what a gathering. So many familiar faces, and new ones too."

As her snow-white feet touched the grass, a warm gust swept through the courtyard.

Liraxia's phoenix-like eyes breezed over her captivated audience, the sharp corners of her lips lifting into a confident smile, like an empress casting judgment over her lessers.

"Liraxia, it's good to see you again."

"Big Sis! You look so beautiful!"

Karliah walked over with measured steps, her stride unbroken and her posture relaxed. But the genuine smile and admiration on her face couldn't be hidden.

Aelshira bounded over like an excited schoolgirl. Her earlier fierceness was completely forgotten as her sparkling eyes locked onto the red-haired goddess before her.

Seeing the two in front of her, Liraxia's face broke out into a grin, her eyes curving as she turned to them.

"Karliah, Aelshira! What a pleasant surprise. It's good to see you two beautiful faces again. On behalf of my useless son, I thank you for coming to my grandson's birthday celebration."

As she curtsied gracefully, Vairon, standing to the side looking pitiful, looked as if he had been hit with an invisible arrow, his aura and presence wilting.

Meilan and Kaelira giggled silently while the commanders, still kneeling, tried to choke down their laughter.

Ignoring them, Liraxia's warm gaze swept over the starstruck faces of the Snow Heart Palace party and gave them a playful wink as a greeting.

"Kyyaaa~"

The group of cold beauties instantly turned into red-faced fangirls as they vowed to ingrain this moment in their memories forever.

Seeing her palace disciples devolve into a group of swooning teenage girls, Aelshira felt conflicted.

Seriously worried that the prestige of their sect would be ruined by this group of fangirls.

But she also couldn't blame them. After all, Liraxia Solvane was a goddess among mortals to many female cultivators in the world, the aspiration that many seek to reach on their cultivation journeys.

Not only was she a divine beauty, but she was the only voice that the Conqueror himself listened to, the true owner of the Aetherion Clan.

"Now, where is my dear grandson~"
