The return to Drak'thar was not a celebration.
Lord walked through the dimensional gate with Uru at his side and Owen behind him. The courtyard was quiet. The dragons circled overhead, their eyes watchful. The weight of the Progenitor council still pressed against them.
Gorvax waited at the palace steps. His ancient eyes held something that Lord had not seen in a long time.
"Kael'thar knows about the archive."
Lord stopped. "What?"
"The Progenitor vote. The defection of the elders. Kael'thar has learned that you retrieved something from the suppressed realities." Gorvax's voice was flat. "They are already moving to claim it."
Owen stepped forward. "Claim what?"
"The archive. The knowledge that you brought back." Gorvax looked at Lord. "Kael'thar knows what it contains. They know it proves that coexistence is possible without the tier system. They cannot allow that knowledge to spread."
Lord's gold eyes flickered. "Where is the archive now?"
