The seven joined forces to battle Saturn, who was being controlled by Im.
With the seven of them fighting together, they could storm Marineford itself and take it without breaking a sweat.
Apart from Kaido,
the power erupting from each of the other six was nothing short of terrifying.
Destroying an island or wiping out a nation single-handedly would take no effort at all!
Yet even with their combined assault turning the kilometer-wide heart of God Valley into mush,
they still could not inflict even the slightest real damage on Im.
Whoosh!
A gigantic spider leg tore through the air, coils of overwhelming Haki wrapped round its pitch-black venomous hook, clashing head-on with the long blade Rocks swept out.
Clang!
With a metallic roar, blood seeped from the corner of Rocks's mouth; his back smashed through layers of air, and he crashed to the ground like a meteor.
Above, the Azure Dragon that had been gathering blazing breath for another fiery blast found its head bound by countless black spider-leg shadows.
As though dragging a mere worm, the colossal serpentine body stretching hundreds of meters was effortlessly swung and whipped against the earth beneath Kaido's shocked and furious gaze.
Boom!!
The whole island of God Valley shuddered.
Kaido's draconic maw gaped wide as he painfully coughed up a sheet of blood.
The hundred-meter-long dragon body sank deep into the ground; scales flew in all directions, and crimson mist spurted from the gaps between them.
Prometheus! Zeus!
Heavenly Fire–Thunder!
Higher still, Linlin thrust out one hand wreathed in flame, the other in lightning, fusing them into a thick pillar of thunder-fire that shattered a stabbing spider leg.
Yet the next instant the shattered limb re-formed, and—while she stared in shock and rage—its tip speared her chest.
Splurt!
Blood sprayed!
Linlin's pride, the Iron Balloon body tougher than steel even without Armament Haki, was pierced clean through by Im's Conquerors Coating.
The spider leg crackling with black lightning nailed her body and came screaming down from the sky, intent on skewering her completely.
Whizz-whizz-whizz!!
Several crimson lasers lanced across the air, shearing the spider leg impaling her in half.
Linlin, freed from mortal danger, exhaled in relief. "Thanks, Carlo!"
In the sky, Carlo's eyes blazed scarlet, dazzling lasers flashing as his form ballooned to ten meters tall.
Six pairs of golden wings unfurled behind him, crackling with wind, lightning and electricity while he zig-zagged at extreme speed through the hail of spider legs.
The heavenly dragon halberd in his hands kept slashing out heaven-splitting blows, severing and smashing every spider leg Im sent his way.
"Annoying insect…"
Im's indifferent gaze fixed on Carlo; beneath him, Saturn's hollow eyes suddenly glared straight at Carlo.
"Evil Eye!!"
In an instant a titanic shock wave erupted around Carlo, too fast for him to react.
A deafening boom shook the heavens.
Carlo, swatted like a fly from a cannon, coughed up a mouthful of blood and followed Rocks and Kaido into the depths of the earth.
Under Im's control, Saturn's Evil Eye now packed many times its former power.
It was essentially a Conqueror's-type shock to begin with,
and with Im's truly peerless Haoshoku reinforcing it,
even someone of Carlo's caliber had to spit blood.
Amid the chaotic onslaught, Roger struck from behind Im, thrusting with his blade.
Black-red lightning crackled along Ace's long sword, piercing the heavens with incomparable sharpness.
Shrrrip!
The blade ran upward, impaling Im's vast body from below and ripping open a gigantic wound.
At the same moment Whitebeard leapt high; Murakumogiri erupted with quake force, a horizontal slash that shattered the air, sending a surging tsunami of shock waves.
Im's towering form was severed at the waist!
Boom-boom-boom-boom-boom!
Bursts of white shock haze blossomed in the sky like a stairway upward.
Garp, stepping through the air with Moonwalk, shot up like a meteor, his right fist wrapped in a sphere of black-red lightning as he roared and smashed it into Im's unseen face.
"Fist Bone – Galaxy Impact!!"
Under that Haki-entwined blow capable of shattering mountains and islands,
Im's enormous body finally exploded amid the combined strike of Roger, Whitebeard and Garp,
dissolving once more into countless wisps of black mist.
Yet Roger, Whitebeard, Garp, and the returned Rocks, Carlo and Linlin
did not relax.
All stood poised, weapons wreathed in Haki raised high, eyes locked on the sky.
The next instant,
a scene they had witnessed more than a dozen times unfolded again without surprise.
Black mist churned overhead; as if time flowed backward, the vapors converged like rivers to the sea, swiftly knitting Im's form anew.
"Now! Unleash your Conqueror's Haki and seal separate parts of him!"
Rocks shouted.
"His undying body is far superior to that moon-head's, and his regeneration countless times faster, but like that moon-head he can still be temporarily sealed with Haki!"
"If we split his body and seal each part with Haki, we can cut off that healing and finish him!"
With that, he slashed first.
A cannon-like blade aura tore through the air, shearing beneath Im's whirlpool eyes and cleaving off the crown-bearing shadow head.
Potent Conqueror's Haki streamed from Rocks, coiling back round the severed neck, trying to seal Im's head just as he had sealed Gringu.
At the same moment, Carlo, Whitebeard, Roger and the others erupted in unison, blasting apart other sections of Im's body.
Each poured out mighty Conqueror's Haki, wrapping their respective fragment in an attempt to seal them separately.
Linlin felt awkward.
Though she had barely mastered Conquerors Coating,
her Conqueror's Haki still couldn't leave her body for long without dispersing.
All she could do was lend a hand.
Her pride found that hard to accept.
Her pretty face flushed red.
She had always believed herself one of the very strongest on these seas.
But this battle shattered her illusion.
Right now, surrounding her
were six people stronger than she.
Rocks, Whitebeard, Roger, Garp—those were beyond question;
now even Carlo had surpassed her.
Yet even so, the efforts of Rocks and the others seemed futile!
Rocks, Whitebeard, Roger, Garp, plus Carlo—
the five of them released sky-darkening Conqueror's Haki at once, sealing Im's head, torso and several gigantic spider legs.
For a moment the severed parts, bound by five mighty coils of Haki, appeared to stall in mid-air,
not reuniting and reforming instantly.
But that hesitation lasted only an instant!
