Chapter 32 - Chapter 32: Secret In Silver

The forest beyond the ruins was quiet, but the air thrummed with magic, ancient and alive.

Maria led Kael to a secluded chamber hidden beneath crumbling stone, its entrance masked by twisted roots and silver moss.

Inside, the faint glow of moonlight revealed carvings on the walls, wolves, Lycan kings, and strange symbols Maria had never seen before.

"These they're old," Maria whispered, fingertips tracing the etched lines.

The Moon pulsed in her chest, its light flaring along the runes.

"Older than the Corrupted Lands. Older than even the Ashen King."

Kael leaned close, shadow energy rippling over his fur.

"Be careful. If he knows we've found this place, it could be a trap.

" His eyes scanned the walls warily, muscles tense.

"We can't let him use it against us."

Maria ignored the warning, captivated.

Silver threads of magic responded to her presence, illuminating a hidden door at the chamber's far end.

She pressed her paw against it, and the wall shifted, revealing an inner sanctum filled with ancient scrolls and silver-chased relics.

The air vibrated with power, humming through her fur like the Moon itself was speaking

.

"These scrolls." Maria murmured, her eyes widening.

"They speak of the Luna Queen the one chosen by the Moon to defeat darkness.

They describe a wolf, bound to a Lycan King, whose bond will either save the world or destroy it."

Kael's jaw tightened, the dark veins beneath his skin pulsing faintly. "So the prophecy it's about us?" he asked, disbelief and awe in his voice.

"All this time the Moon planned this?"

Maria nodded, eyes glowing silver. "It's why the Ashen King hates us so much.

We are his antithesis, his undoing. But it also means our bond isn't just emotional,it's power. Moon-chosen, ancient, unstoppable if we learn to control it."

Kael reached for her hand, the shadow energy in his veins intertwining with the silver of her lunar fire

"Then we master it," he said, determination blazing in his eyes.

"Together. Or everything dies."

The chamber pulsed, responding to their bond. Symbols glimmered with life, whispering secrets in a language older than time.

Maria could feel it,knowledge, power, warnings, and guidance all intertwined.

"We're ready," she said, pressing her hand to his chest.

"No matter what the Ashen King throws at us we have secrets now. And secrets are power."

Outside, the wind shifted, carrying the scent of corruption and shadow.

The Ashen King would strike soon. But inside the sanctum, Maria and Kael had something he could never anticipate their bond, silver and alive, forged by the Moon itself.
