Chapter 45 - Chapter 45: Jihyo's trump card

(JYP ENTERTAINMENT BUILDING )

Llana and the rest of the Major A team arrived at the Company to prepare for their upcoming group battle and guerrilla concert at the practice room. For the entire week, their practice room schedule start from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m

The four of them sat cross-legged on the floor, forming a small circle as they faced each other.

"So… where do we start?" Jihyo asked, glancing around at the others. "We have so much to do that I don't know where to start."

"Right," Chaeyoung sighed, running a hand through her hair. "We have to prepare so many things, and we only have, what? A week? I'm already feeling overwhelmed just thinking about it."

"Why don't we start with the performance concept first?" Llana suggested calmly. "If we try to think about everything at once, we'll just stress ourselves out even more."

"For the guerrilla concert," Chaeyoung began, "why don't we use 'Like That'? I'm sure people would love it."

"That's a good idea," Jihyo agreed immediately.

'Like That' was incredibly popular at the moment. After their previous performance, some audience had uploaded a full video online but was taken down in less than a minute due to copyright issues. The sudden removal only fueled netizens' curiosity, sending them into a frenzy.

Thankfully, some short clips weren't taken down and continued circulating all over the internet. If JYP Entertainment hadn't released an official statement a week ago, the company might have faced serious backlash. Fans might've already shown up outside the company building, ready to protest.

If they performed it in public, she was certain it would attract attention.

And even if it didn't…

Jihyo's gaze shifted subtly to Llana.

Llana alone was enough to draw a crowd. If the song didn't work, Jihyo would just shout, "Llana Kim is here!" and watch the crowd gather in seconds.

Llana is her hidden weapon.

Llana didn't seem fully aware of how popular she'd become, but Jihyo knew. It was almost funny how often Llana's name popped up in conversations. Whenever she took public transportations or walk at the streets.

Llana nodded at their suggestion. It was the most reasonable choice for now. The other song she had "composed" couldn't be performed in public yet, unlike 'Like That'...unless they decided to use a song that wasn't hers.

They were already familiar with the choreography of 'Like That'. Only Jihyo would need to learn it.

"Okay we'll use 'like that' for the Guerilla concert. Let's move on for the other performance."Jihyo clapped her hand.

"I want to do something unique. Something no one will expect, something that will etch our performance into their hearts and minds," Chaeyoung said, her eyes already shining with anticipation just thinking for their upcoming stage for the group battle.

Jihyo nodded eagerly. "Exactly! Our concepts are always bright and cutesy. What if we show them the complete opposite for once?"

"A dark concept?" Llana raised a brow, already guessing what they had in mind, as she glanced between Jihyo and Chaeyoung.

Why does this feel familiar?...

Didn't they suggest the same thing during the second challenge? Why does it feel like these two are low-key obsessed with dark themes?

Before Llana could comment further, Momo spoke up calmly. "Llana can pull that off."

All eyes turned to her.

Llana blinked, slightly caught off guard, then gave a small nod. "Sure."

If they wanted dark, there were plenty of options in her system's music shop. And if they wanted something truly dark…

She already had a specific song in mind.

'System, I want to purchase that song.'

[Purchasing…]

[250,000 virtual coins have been deducted.]

'Goodbye 250,000 Virtual Coins' , Llana cried internally.

"Let's divide the manpower for efficiency," Llana said after a moment. "Jihyo-unnie and Chaeyoung-unnie can handle promotions. Momo-unnie and I will focus on the group battle performance."

Distributing tasks would save time. If they tried to do everything together step by step, they might end up rushing at the last minute.

This time, Llana decided to let Momo take the lead in creating the choreography for the song. She would step in later with a few suggestions if needed. Llana trusted Momo's ability, she knew she was more than capable.

They were a team, after all. She couldn't keep carrying everything on her own. Besides, everyone else already had an assigned role. If she didn't entrust Momo with something significant, she might end up feeling left out and Llana didn't want that.

"How about our location? Where are we going?" Momo asked.

"For the location, it's better if we don't go too far from the venue so people can really come," Llana said.

"Yeah, let's not go far. Let's just do it in Hongdae," Jihyo agreed with Llana.

"I'll also make a flyer to promote our show. PD-nim said we need to give a small appreciation item too. So what should we give them?" Chaeyoung asked.

"What about a balloon with a message written on it?" Jihyo suggested.

"Or snacks, like candy?"

Llana, Chaeyoung, and Jihyo stared at Momo, who suggested the food. They all knew who would appreciate the snacks the most—her.

"Let's also give them a message. A personal one from us," Llana added.

"Let's just do all the suggestions then," Chaeyoung laughed softly. She grabbed a pen and notebook to write everything down, while Jihyo leaned closer to help her.

Llana then turned to Momo. "Momo-unnie, can you create the choreography for our performance?"

"Me?" Momo pointed at herself in disbelief. It wasn't that she lacked confidence—she believed in her ability to make choreography. She was just surprised that Llana would let her handle it. She had thought Llana would create the choreo again like last time. She couldn't help but feel touched by Llana's trust in her.

"Ne~ Is there another person named Momo here?" Llana replied playfully. "Can you do it?"

"Yes, sure. I'll do my best!"

"That's great. I'll finish the song before evening and send it to you so you can work on it faster," Llana said with a smile.

It didn't take long before everyone finished planning everything. Since they still had plenty of time left before they had to vacate the practice room, they decided to help Jihyo practice the choreography for "Like That."

Llana said her goodbyes first, since she needed to head back home to record the song they were going to perform. But before she could leave, one of the PDs approached her and whispered something in her ear.

Llana listened carefully, then gave a small nod.

"Ne~ Tell JYP-nim not to worry. "
