Power System

«Everything in this chapter is respect to change as even I am unaware of the deep mysteries that are yet to be unearthed»

There are three different types of creatures featured in this book, and each of them has its own unique power system.

The first are humans and the main components of their power system are classes, demon points, qi and mana

Classes–these are the different paths a person can take to ascend. In order to awaken a class, a person must kill their first demonic beast and awaken the system. Even then, there is only a forty percent chance of awakening the system. Not everyone can acquire a class, it all comes down to luck.

Classes can be divided into three types.

Qi Focused: These classes are attuned to abilities that require qi. They mainly involve using the body to its full potential and have little to no success at using mana. Although it's possible for someone with this type of class to train mana, it's inadvisable as the person would need to put in ten times the effort for only a small result.

Mana-focused: these are the opposite of the qi-focused classes. They empower mana spells and have a hard time with qi techniques.

Dual-focused: these are classes that give their host the ability to use both mana spells and qi techniques with ease.

Not all classes are of the same importance. Some are useless, and others are highly sought after. The preliminary method of determining a class's worth is by counting the number of words in the class's name. A two-word class is usually more powerful than a single-word class.

But this method is crude and unreliable. Reliable methods of ranking would be revealed later on in the story.

Demon Points

These are points gained from killing demons. If a person acquires the required amount of demon points(100) they can evolve their tier. The more demon points a person has, the more powerful they will be, and the wider their mana or qi reserves will grow.

There are four types of demon points.

Common demon points: these can be gotten from killing common demons.

Epic demon points: these are gotten from killing epic/predator demons.

True demon points: these are gotten from true demons.

And sacred demon points: these are gotten from sacred/primal demons.

If a person were to evolve with common demon points, they would not receive a title. But if they were to evolve with epic dp (demon points) they would receive the title of Epic. And the same logic applies to the rest.

The more valuable the points used to evolve, the more powerful the person will be.

Abilities

Abilities are gifts that might come with the class. Most classes don't come with abilities but some do.

When a person evolves their tier, they may gain new abilities or upgrade old ones.

There are two other ways to get abilities.

Soul-bound weapons: these are weapons that may contain an ability. But even if they contain an ability, the ability must have a high compatibility rate with the user's class or else the fusion will fail.

Another way is by killing a person or demon: If one is extremely lucky, they might be able to gain an ability from a kill.

Qi techniques and Mana spells.

These are skills that are trained. A person may pick any of these skills and train in them. If their class is attuned to the skill, it would be easier to learn said skill.

Example: a swordsman will have a higher success rate learning a qi technique that requires swords than a tank.

More information on the power system of Demons and Mutants will be revealed in the story as time goes on.
