We met again, under the relentless rain of the blanketed grey sky.
This was how Akari Nakamura and Yuki Ayame fell in love. This was one of their many encounters in fact. So what was their first encounter? Well we have to go back a while, back when they were in middle school.
Akari was going to the grocery store to buy food and was having a peaceful day. Right when he finished shopping for what he needed, he heard a cry of a girl. He runs to a corner and peeks around it to see a girl getting hit on from an older man. The girl kept on declining and had the look of fear on her face.
"Come on, come with me!" The man said while grabbing her arm. The girl yells "No get away from me! I don't want to go with you!"
What is that man doing to her? I should get an adult. No! She might get hurt or worse if I go get help.
He started to over think the problem and couldn't decide about what to do. He was in a trance but the cries of the girl snapped him out of it.
"P-please leave m-me alone, please!" The girl said with tears in her eyes. The man despite hearing that, kept holding of her arm. Akari couldn't take it anymore and went to face the man.
Akari ran pass the shelf and went to face the man. "Who are you, huh!" The man said with anger in his voice. He let go of his arm to grab Akari by his collar. Akari was lifted up in the air choking and gasping for breath. The girl on the ground was still shaking with fear, but with her tearful face looks up at him.
"Well punk! Who do you think your dealing with now!" The man said with a wide grin. Akari couldn't help but say something stupid. "Well I know you ain't nothing. I had worse." Akari said with a grin. The girl couldn't do anything but stare in complete shock. She looks at him with complete shock, but Akari points at the front and winks at her, with a thumbs up at the end.
The girl still with tears on her face gives a thumbs up and with her injured arm she walks to the front. Akari gave a weak smile and his conscious soon started to fade. With the last of his breath he said "Stupid are you? You really are a degenerate! you have nothing else to do, other than hit on younger girls!" Akari had a weak but sparky grin.
When his eyes closed, the man was about to punch but was stopped. A security guard with the girl behind him stopped the man from punching Akari.
"Put the boy down! Or I will use force!" The security guard said. The man dropped Akari and was arrested. The girl went to check on Akari and started to shake with anxiety.
"...M-Mr security guard." The girl said with fear and anxiety. The guard looks at her after arresting the arrogant man. "What is it?" The guard said with confusion. "The boy ...isn't breathing right." The girl said while trying to wake up Akari.
"What. Do. You. Mean!" The guard shouts going to check on Akari. The guard checks his pulse and is relieved to see he still has one. He gets out his phone and calls for an ambulance. The girl couldn't do anything but worry for him. Even though they didn't talk much to eachother, she still cared for him.
The ambulance came and took him to the hospital. The guard called the girl's parents and Akari's and the whole situation was dealt with. Akari was in the hospital for two weeks and after he healed was diagnosed with asthma.
When he did come back to school everyone was worried about him. He told them they didn't have to worry about them. Well everyone but her, the girl approached Akari and gave her apologies.
"I'm sorry for what happened!" The girl said while bowing. But it wasn't her fault though? "Don't worry, this wasn't your fault." Akari said with a small smile.The girl had a anxious look to her, so Akari reassured her. "Don't worry, that was my fault for stepping in the first place."
"...A-all right Akari." The girl said still with a little worry. Akari couldn't help wonder who she was though, he felt weird not knowing her name. "Right may I ask what your name is?" Akari questioned. The girl had a once gloomy face, to bright one. "My name is Yuki Ayame! Nice to meet you." Yuki said with enthusiasm.
Akari was looking at her and sees bandages on her arm. He looked in shock, Yuki sees his face and understands why he's shocked. "No worries, he only injured my arm." Yuki said with a quiet voice. Akari squeezes his arm in regret.
Akari takes his leave not wanting to worry himself and her even more. They had many more unforgettable encounters throughout their lives. So how was this encounter different? "You what!?" Akari yelled with confusion.
