TROY
Ruby was gone when I woke up. Peaceful morning? I wish. Asides Austin's hysterics earlier on, Ruby herself came back looking angrier than a tiger whose tail had been stepped on.
Pissed was an understatement of the expression she had. And I couldn't even tell why she was like this.
All I knew was that one moment I woke up to and empty bed, I headed downstairs to have my Beta in my head telling me tales of my mate going to my parents and giving them a piece of her mind.
And the next moment the smile I'd let stretch on my lips from how proud of her I was dropped like a ton of weight.
Because her anger was directed at me for some reason.
"Where is he?" She demanded and I knew right away why she was upset. Her precious Austin was not where she thought he would be. And she was here to collect him.
"I didn't tell her, Alpha. I swear…" Chris's voice rang next and I shut my eyes. It wasn't his fault. All he did was played his part all too well.
