Chapter 27 - Chapter 27 — Setting Sail

The day had finally come.

Two months had passed since Law made his decision to sail into the sea.

Now, the Polar Tang gently rocked on the water, as if it were a living being patiently waiting for its first journey to begin.

During those two months, Law and the others had completely finished the ship.

Its hull was painted yellow and black, just like the original Polar Tang.

Above it fluttered a flag bearing the symbol of a heart — the mark of a new pirate crew.

The Polar Tang measured 45 meters in length, 12 meters in width, and 13 meters in height.

For now, it seemed small — Law knew that one day his crew would grow, and the ship would be expanded.

Inside was a breathing system designed by Wolf, allowing the crew to remain underwater for long periods of time.

The ship contained:

a captain's cabin,

a large male crew cabin and a separate female cabin,

a medical block,

a library,

a kitchen with a dining area,

storage rooms,

and an engine room.

The Polar Tang had no weapons yet.

As Wolf had said, heavy armaments would only slow the ship down.

Law stood in front of the ship, silently gazing at the sea.

Shachi, Penguin, and Bepo were carrying the last of the supplies aboard.

Suddenly, Law heard footsteps behind him.

Turning around, he saw Wolf approaching.

"So… everything's ready?" Wolf asked, studying the ship carefully.

"Yes," Law replied calmly.

Wolf nodded.

"Law, I wish you luck. Be careful — and never underestimate your enemies.

You're a captain now. It's your duty to protect yourself and those who follow you."

Law smiled faintly.

"I will be careful, Wolf-san.

And my enemies won't even dare to think about harming my crew.

I'll turn this world upside down — even the World Government and the Marines won't dare underestimate me."

Wolf burst into laughter.

"Ha-ha-ha! That's the spirit!

Good luck, Law. I'll be waiting to hear about your exploits."

At that moment, Bepo's voice rang out:

"Law! We're ready!"

Law stepped aboard the Polar Tang and looked back one last time.

"Take care, Wolf-san."

The ship slowly began to move away from shore.

Wolf watched until the Polar Tang disappeared into the distance, then quietly returned to his home.

Inside the ship, in the engine room, Shachi stood at the helm.

"So, Captain," he said, turning to Law, "what's our next destination?"

"Minion Island," Law answered without hesitation.

Shachi nodded and set the course.

Thus began the journey of Trafalgar D. Water Law.

One day after leaving shore…

Law was in the medical bay, inspecting the equipment.

He wanted to be ready for anything — if his crew were injured, he would save them.

Suddenly, Penguin's voice came through the speaker:

"Law, we've got a problem.

Shachi spotted a pirate ship ahead. He wants you in the engine room to give orders."

When Law arrived, Shachi spoke immediately:

"They haven't noticed us yet. What are your orders?"

Law clenched his fist and smiled coldly.

"You already know.

Bring us up."

He looked at his crew.

"This is our first battle at sea.

I want to see how strong I've become…

and how much you've grown."

"Understood, Captain!" Shachi replied.

He began issuing commands, and the Polar Tang slowly rose to the surface.

A medium-sized pirate ship floated nearby.

Its flag bore a skull with crossed bones.

"Ha-ha-ha!" the pirates laughed. "Captain, attacking that merchant ship was a great idea! Look at all this gold!"

Their captain smirked.

"Enjoy yourselves, boys. Then we'll head to the next island.

Plenty of weaklings there… and women to take."

The pirates cheered — until one of them froze.

"C-Captain… a ship… is rising from the sea!"

All eyes turned toward it.

"Does anyone know whose flag that is?" the captain asked, frowning.

Inside the Polar Tang, Penguin looked through binoculars.

"Law, I know them. They're the Circle Pirates.

Their captain has a bounty of 15 million Beli.

They're known for murder and island raids."

Law's eyes turned icy.

"All hands, prepare for battle," he ordered.

"Protect each other. If anyone is in danger — cover them without hesitation."

With those words, Law stepped onto the deck first.

The others followed.

Their first battle was about to begin.
