The Next Day,
Hunter woke up only to find Claire in his arms. He went to the kitchen and cooked their breakfast. He was washing all the utensils that he had used to cook then felt a gaze that sent chills down his spine. He looked behind and saw her staring at her.
"Why did you leave me in bed?"
"Was I supposed to wake you up?" Claire gave him a shot that made Hunter take a step back. "I was coming to wake you up after I made breakfast."
"What did you make?"
''Waffles and white coffee."
"Let's eat then we go and prepare ourselves for work. '
They had their meal and then they prepared themselves to go to work.
Hunter had decided to take a break and went to the breakroom. He saw Hannah who looked tired.
"it's early in the morning and Miss Davers looks very tired. What happened?"
"If you have nothing to say to me you might as well keep quiet. "
"Roy did this to you, didn't he?"
"No, he didn't. " She said smiling.
"Your smile says otherwise, Miss Davers. "
"I am going to the CEO's office. "
"Just ask Claire a day off. She might consider you. ''
"I have other things to do. See you later. "
"Yeah okay. "
Hannah went to Claire's office and found her in the middle of scolding the head of HR.
"I did some investigation and then I found that there are some differences in the amount of money. "
"We --- will ---- go ---" he said stammering.
"Are you stammering?"
The HR was already sweating and shivering. "And find what caused it. " He finished his words immediately.
"You better do so. " He took the files and hurried out of the office.
"Good morning, boss? "
"How was your night. "
"Great. "
"Is that why you decided to come late to the office today?"
"No--"
"I am docking your pay. "
"Miss----- " She saw the eyes that she shot her and kept quiet.
Claire looked at her and noticed that she was not her usual self.
"What happened to you? "
"Roy, he ---- "
"He did that to you. Did he keep you all night?"
"Yes. "
"And you forgot you have work today. ''
"No. "
"You have a day off, tomorrow come to work as early as possible. "
""Thank you. "
"Go and call Gwen, tell her to bring me a cup of coffee. I really need one. "
"Yes. Are you still docking my pay?"
"One more word and I promise you, you will not be getting your money for this month. "
"Thanks. "
Hannah left as soon as possible.
