Kakarai crouched over the battered cook, his mismatched eyes wide with frantic urgency. "Drink," he rasped, bringing a taloned, blood-soaked wrist toward Mama G's cracked lips. "Master needs you alive. Drink the blood."
Before a single dark drop could fall, the air shattered. A suffocating, freezing wave of pure intent slammed into Kakarai, violently launching his mutated mass backward. He tore through the ruined street, crashing through the structural pillars of a distant building and collapsing it in a cloud of debris.
Madeka stepped through the settling ash, her eyes burning with icy fury, with Nadia sprinting close behind.
"How dare you try to give her contaminated blood," Madeka hissed.
